I'm back to the struggle, and am apartment hunting in Los Angeles! I'm showing a few of the 1 bedroom options I viewed with their pricing. Rent in 2023 is insane, so I'm trying to take advantage as we head into the slow winter season. Let me know what you think the best option is!

Lol so real. I never understood people's fascination of LA. Grew up in So cal, know OC, SD, and IE well, but i avoid LA like the plague. Remember having to go to walk of fame for something once and the Oscars was happening later that day or day after. They literally had these big propped up tapistries to keep the tweekers and the pee streets out of frame of the red carpet.
Looking for a place in pasadena area for me and my partner and its so rough. Even in the off season as you mentioned!

I unfortunately don't know of any short term rentals and would suggest looking through Air BnB! 🤎
That $3k rent is a whole mortgage payment!!! Rent is more reasonable in Long Beach and other areas.

@@CrystalChavisOne piece of advise- get on the waiting list for section 8 when it opens- even if you don’t think you’d qualify for it. You never know when it will come in the clutch! 😊

100%! they actually lowered the price to $2900 so i was going to jump on it, but they had some new resident reviews online that deterred me. the search continues 🥲

friend that’s all of LA at this point, we’re down bad 🥲 but the westside is your best bet! westchester, playa vista, playa del rey, el segundo. mid-city also has some decent options but it depends on the specific neighborhood!
