Sunrise Hike at Glacier's McDonald Lake

🌄 Had the most epic adventure at #McDonaldLake in #GlacierNationalPark 🏞️ It was my very first hike in #Montana, let me tell you, it was a wild ride. 🥾
I hiked for a whopping 6 and a half hours straight! That's a new personal record for me - longest time on my hiking feet ever! 🎉 Not to mention, I covered the longest distance I've ever hiked in one go. Another PR down! 💪 And talk about determination - I also set my record for the longest streak of consistent hiking . Go me! 🏅 Love #AllTrails 📱
The trail was beautifully serene - I only encountered one other set of hikers throughout the entire journey. It felt like I had the whole mountain forest to myself! 🏔🌳 Of course, Mother Nature decided to test me with some rain. A LOT of rain. ☔ Let's add "hiking in a downpour" to my list of achievements, shall we? 😂
And oh my gosh, the views! 🌟 I arrived at 5:30 AM and got to witness the most breathtaking sunrise over the mountains. Even more, the wildflowers are totally on show 🌼 The colors were absolutely surreal - pinks, oranges, purples blending into the blue sky. It was like a painting come to life. 🎨 #SunriseMagic #WildFlowers #GlacierFlowers
The vegetation was so lush and overgrown that I was practically swimming through it at times. Result? I was completely soaked head to toe, and my boots? Oh, they were more like mini swimming pools by the end. 🏊‍♀️ #FloodedBootsHike
But you know what, despite all the challenges, I loved every minute of it! There's something magical about pushing your limits and embracing the elements. 💫 And hey, #ThisIs40, right? Age is just a number!
