- Probably the most fun move I tried so far, not a fan of having to hold the button down for CSS to do its job you end up missing it lots of times.
#Sunbreak
Got access to the hidden moves by using the cheat engine.

~-~~-~~~-~~-~ - Hry
Long Sword will be coming tomorrow, bit tired today.
Each of these short videos are taking up to 4 hours to make, that includes getting used to the new moves and use them in somewhat informative fashion.
Thank You all for the support on these videos, really appreciate it.
Thanks for your hardwork dude, your efforts are really appreciated. These videos are incredibly high quality
Sorry if you've seen this already, I dont know if you saw my prior message but I was hoping you'd see if Switch Axe's new skill had more utility beyond just evading while swapping into axe mode
It seems kind of redundant since swax already has an evasive skill that adds to the meter in switch charger. Maybe it can cancel the reload animation of swax , or maybe like charge blade's counter peak performance, it can cancel attack animations when it triggers? The new charge blade skill counter peak performance initially seemed redundant as a counter skill untill people played around with it and saw something unique with it. im hoping it's the same case with swax and this evasive skill, and that theres something noteworthy about it besides going into ax mode . thanks for reading this and good luck with the rest of these showcases.
@@Cayden.1 sorry about not noticing that previous comment, I'll look into long sword, Great Sword, and Insect glaive tomorrow then Switch axe on Tuesday.
Have to move from my place in like 4 days so I am trying to finish at least half of the weapons this week and rest in the next week right before game's launch.
Initially I planned on doing them in an order but I figured I'd post the weapons I'm good at first.
@@Harv-E thanks for the quick response and no problem take your time. i hope your testing and moving go well !!
@@Cayden.1 which new skill are you talking about? I have checked out the new counter. I must have missed a second ability
It seems most of the new stuff for charge blade is "sorry condensed spinning slash makes you unable to block or dodge"
Crazy. Its almost like a dedicated powerful attack requires some commitment...
Id be upset at the lack of stuff for the big boom play style but literally every thing but savage ax mode was for the saed style in base rise so swaxe needed stuff for chainsaw play style also we have not seen the 2nd switch skil available for the slot cpp hopper and the new 1 r in
@@ligaar0849 But the flow of the weapon was ruined because of that small change of "leaving axe mode cancels CSS".
Air Dash is cool and Ready Stance is meh but very useful, but lets face it, they're just patching CSS to make it not feel like stirring molasses. CSS was a terrible change
@@ligaar0849 you wouldn't like a weapon either who is as walking speed is as slow as a unsheathed GS, packs less of a punch than, that takes too long to get from sheathed (unsheathe>cpp>reload phial>CSS) where getting knocked and than wirebug out resets that process and for the same reason hinder you from blocking. And don't get me started about skill cost. No weapon playstyle at the moment is so tedious to play than CSS and what i said is not even everything plus there is still SAED to talk about.
Please if you don't play the weapon don't bad mouth people who play it.
@@littlerepera79 Skill cost on CB in Rise is actually insane especially since Guard and most Offense skills are now T2 Decos.
CB just has so many things going against it in Rise; Monsters backhop way more after every combo, phial hitboxes are both shorter(fixed in sunbreak) and narrower, knockback values are strong even in HR so Guard 3 at least is mandatory now(in conjunction with skill cost), chip damage is still a thing while LS can't even get touched
CB is by no means a bad weapon that can't deal good damage, but it doesn't feel good to use, like comparing a comfy SUV to an old deteriorating manual sedan; both will get you places but the ride is way comfier on one than the other
You have no idea how grateful I am for these explanation videos! Great job and thank you for making them!
Thank you for the support, once Sunbreak is out I'll branch out into doing build videos and weapon guides for SnS and probably CB.
Not enjoying speedrunning all that much these days so branching out is always better in my opinion.
@@Harv-E that’s awesome! Super excited to see what ya make! When the demo came out I was a little overwhelmed with the new combat system and didn’t know what each new silkbind did, so your video was perfect timing lol
Air Dash → Axe Hopper will be a super satisfying combo.
Who would have guessed aerial charge blade would be a thing
Well Insect Glaive and Charge Blade were both from 4 which was the game that added verticality to its areas
These are really creative! Great stuff!
your videos are so concise and informative.
Appreciate the hard work you put into these videos, I knew there would be more wirebug moves. I wonder if they'll add more of the switch skills too
Thank you for making these videos
You gotta show off firing pin, it's perhaps the craziest Charged SWORD mode .
Firing pin is all fireworks and crazy damage
They covered firing pin in official videos already, felt like that will simply drag the video longer than needed.
@@Harv-E I think that, Firing Pin in the official was so misrepresented, Firing Pin is almost completely different to what was showcased! If highly recommend making a video later on!
@@jeannin.wallace2795 I remember seeing a charge blade runner's break down of the Twitter clips where they were using firing pin and trigger them with AEDs for max explosions, that's why I thought it's not needed anymore.
Now, I regret not including it.
Don’t feel bad, you’re doing good work here
i saw this in the trailer thanks for fully showcasing it
sick was looking forward to seeing this
This will glorious in the battlefield. Flexes will be shown. 💪 💪 💪 💪
This'll be really good for breaking Goss Harag's back
That is an interesting tech.
Gonna have to learn this.
Finally a much better version of Axe Hopper.
Ive seen that Dual Blades has a new silkbind that both sharpens the weapon and buffs it in some way, was wondering do you had any idea what the buff is from datamines and the like
Hey I am working on a video about Sunbreak do you mind if I use some of your footage to make my point? I will credit you in the description.
Go for it man, I'll be glad if any of my stuff helps.
"air dash"? This is clearly "discount Ripper shield in a bargain bin"
AWESOME FAN GAME PROGRESS!!
Should be called premature discharge
Trailers made by people that actually play the game. INCREDIBLE!
Thank you Bloorbix.
@@Harv-E wtf
@@Tomix4k thought you changed your name?
Great move to cut tails from tall monsters :O
This is great! Really looking forward to the rest of the weapons
By the way, could you tell me the source of the weapon renders you use for the videos? I'm trying to get them in png and good quality but I'm struggling to find them.
I got them from official website, click on the weapons tab and use save image option on your PC.
Direct link:
www.monsterhunter.com/rise-sunbreak/en-uk/weapon/
@@Harv-E I tried that, but unfortunately for most of the weapons the renders are cut because of the edges of the screen or due to the male and female sets overlapping.
@@aiexmonsterhunter that's what I deal with too, asked Kogath on twitter if he would share but no answer from them.
@@Harv-E I see. Thanks anyways!
Just wondering if you can actually aim the finisher freely?
エアダッシュカッコよすぎだろ!!!そして強すぎだろ!!!😍😍😍
Does this replace Morphing Advance? if it does im gonna have a field day!
Can confirm.
hmm i mean it's certainly not terrible, but the move leave you in an undesirable position afterwards it seems like and with axe mode being really slow i wonder how useful it will actually be. at least i am glad they improve on the spinning blade as it seems to fall behind the more mobile the enemy gets.
Well, remember that:
1. It seems like you have hyperarmor during the move.
2. You can probably control the direction of the final blast for midair repositioning.
@@LoncusZhao I tried it and it indeed does have hyperarmor, but sadly it looks like you can only reorient the direction of the blast for about 45 degrees left or right.
@@CamperN00b47 oh. That sucks.
This has got to be the most goofiest move charge blade have.
I love it
As a lover of Axe Hopper, is this move like it? I like that little shot off at the end
Pretty much axe hopper for axe mode, only issue is having to hold the button doesn't translate really well with two quick axe swings you do.
Most of the time you'd miss doing the second swing properly, with some practice I might get that one right too but that's the early impressions.
Are you doing one of these for all the weapons? Thanks btw
Planning on doing as many as I can before moving from my place.
ok, for this one the 3rd hit seems to be an unfinished animation
Cant wait to see that datamined ls move, because it is silly lol.
How you get the move, are the demo update yet?
On PC with cheat engine you can access these "hidden" moves, they showcased them in the official trailers but don't want us to use them.
Hbg after LS please
"Air Dash"..? i prefer to call that "Axe-percut"
Am I missing something? What's the flying uppercut axe silkbind move? It's new in Sunbreak is it not?
You are correct. It's a new move for Sunbreak. It isn't available in the demo sadly.
@@warlordofthewest8010 Ah okay, I thought my brain farted for a moment and completely missed this move in the base game. I thought it was strange that he didn't cover that move. But I guess it's a standard aerial silkbind and nothing too special.
@@warlordofthewest8010 Wait oh fuck nevermind, my brain did fart. The entire uppercut move is called "Air Dash"? Bit of a weird name, I'm an idiot lmao.
And it's low cost on the phials. It only needs one for the finisher. So my Red Eclipse move is going to be more useful.
So... 100% no energy blade in the final game? :(
This one may prove useful but it's not the flashy move the weapon needed, if you ask me.
this is actually better than energy blade.
The weapon needed? Cb is flashy by default, why does it "need" a flash move when ultras, css etc etc have been around?
@@renutus1580 Because light sabers go brrrrr
@@renutus1580 In a more serious note, why would we need an evasion move when we have so many defensive options already? In which scenario could this move be the best option?
@@jesuscorrales8909 Astalos got Boltreaver's light saber move it would be fair for them to give CB it's own light saber.
YOOOOOOOOOO
Looks like a Gunlance move
Kinda wanted you to include firing pin as well but nonetheless great coverage
Wish I had done that and twin blade combo on SnS video but it's too late now, I might come back to em after I'm done with rest of the weapons.
Ah I see, well I'm not really pressuring you to do it since it takes quite some time to make one of these, and the game is only like 2 weeks away. So just only do it if you feel like it
@@czyu3361 all good man, not rushing any of these videos. Taking my time to learn some of these weapons cause I barely ever touch them, I'll most likely do one video with the moves I missed and probably miss in the future videos.
I mean it looks flashy and I can see the dodging but. . .why would you dodge on CB?
Cuz savage axe is a playstyle that isn't as safe
@@tripleaaabattery8480 so, why do we have peak performance?
@@JONtheULTIMATE we can't use cpp without losing the spinning slash buff. that's literally the entire point. protection without losing the buff.
@@introspectiveseraphim6251 Ya and then you get flown away from the monster, or you use it to attack in the air, either way you lose DPS when using the skill, so whats your point?
Unblockable moves, plus to close the distance. Plus, it can be done withoput flinging you backwards, or you can wait with it to get you a boost in a direction you want. Plus, the DPS of this move is way higher than just doing the css. It also mounts monsters way easier, is low in cost, does not cost health of blocking nor long wirebug recovery time nor loss of CSS from CPP. Overall, an amazing move. Plus, I mainly use it for flying monsters for huge topple DPS, like Raths or wind serpents, awesome for mounting too.
DON'T TASE ME BRO!
Pardon for the noob question but how do you do this?
You mean gain access to moves? Check the description.
It reminds me of the accel axe from mhxr.
I’m thinking Firing Pin and using Air Dash to proc the explosions.. 🤔
It will, but the setting it up takes ages.
Does this go in the axe hopper slot?
it goes in the morphing advanced slot
Does It still have another skill yet to be shown? I see most are getting 2 new moves
CB got firing pin as secondary move, Capcom already covered it so i thought there's no need for me to do it again.
With SnS and HH, I didn't cover them because they're just alternative moves that work the same as the rest.
@@Harv-E Ah, cool thanks for the reply!
You know... The end blast could give more "OOMPH!" to it... Instead of just like a mosquito zap "Bzzt" thingy... Just make it flashy like the others. Giant explosives of Phials! The damage can just be the same but the spectacle it could have gotten. Come on!
isn't that essentially Axe Hopper?
@@smokyjo5245
Axe Hopper is a slam type. This one seems like it bursts out in midair. I was hoping the blast would be more than just a little spark. Make it more like a "Phial Blast" instead of a "Phial Spark" you know? The damage is quite high but the visuals, kinda lacking.
Imagine if it had the same blast visual effect like the Switch Axe's Discharge move, instead of this Mosquito Spark. It would be visually impactful.
wait i couldnt do any of that in the demo what
I don't understand why EVERY weapon needs to be jumpy jumpy. They lost their identity.
better than capcom
Don't really see the point or appeal of this move
It can be used in unison with spinning slash, so now we have a damaging silkbind that we can use while using spinning slash. The dmg is good too if bogh are used together
@@BBBerti maybe but so much set up for average damage
Same, holding down for the saw to hits more is really janky, iceborne's more smoother.
...why would they not have this in the trailer?
They did show us this move in the most recent trailer, thought I'd do one of those official type videos for some fun.
@@Harv-E I meant the switch skill video for charge blade, the one that made all charge blade fans sad
@@fenris5932 maybe, they wanna keep the best for the last and showed it in the trailer instead.
@@Harv-E yes, that's why they showed off Blast Barrage and Sacred Sheathe in the Gunlance and Longsword videos
Not dodge attacks but hyper armor ;)
it looks so janky, like they picked a bunch of moves from other weapons and squished them together. Its like SnS Rising Slash, CB light aerial attack and SA ZSD. For how amazing World CB was, Rise CB is the complete opposite.
Hammer please?
Soon™
They added new moves? Looks sick.
It's a mod that allows you use the skills that are not in the demo
You didn't properly show it, you can do three hits in the air instead of the two you showed.
Pretty sure I mentioned that it is a 3-hit combo.
@@Harv-E You didnt show it tho, capcom will never hire you like this.
@@Plusimurfriend I'll do better in the future man, thanks for pointing it out.
It'd be neat if they would let me into their creator's program.
@@Harv-E Cheers mate I was just joking btw :)
It's all good man, I don't take offence to em.
looks like youve got the format down!
Yep got the workflow figured out, gonna change the format a little bit for the next videos. I kinda feel bored when I was doing them exact the same way.
I'm kind of confused, where are these coming from? I didn't see anything about some of these moves on the demo.
On PC you can use locked moves by using cheat engine.
@@Harv-E I see, then I'll be looking forward to the rest of these videos!
Singlehandedly making sure that the next demos will be console exclusive 🤗
All these moves were revealed by Capcom before, they didn't let us use them in the demo that's all. I'm not leaking any sensitive information for them to do that to this big of a userbase.
@@Harv-E Where were these silkbinds shown then? Whatever, it's out there now.
@@uhoh7545 You saw the recent official trailer? Japanese twitter and bigger creators with early access showcased pretty much all of these "hidden moves" like a week ago.
@@uhoh7545 have you been living under a rock? They showcased all of these new silkbinds in the flagship sunbreak weapon previews on the official MH YT channel and twitter
It's not the fact that you're ignorant that gets me, it's the fact that you're so confident and smug about this matter when you're completely wrong
Cool move, extremely powerful and only one Wirebug cost? God damn!
Hm that was lame xD
