    I have a theory. It's obvious Brian's parents knew what he did to Gabby. Brian knew what waited him in the near future, and he didn't want to live the rest of his life in a prison. I believe the parents knew and respected Brian's decision to commit suicide. That's why it was so important for them to make that one last camping trip before he went to do himself in. They knew where he was going to do it, and when the time was "right," they "found" his remains.
    How about that? Does anybody agree with me???

    • @jacks1bonnielass
      @jacks1bonnielass Před 2 lety +171

      This has been my theory as well for the last few months. That’s more than likely why they took the camping trip together when he got home, one last family outing before things blew up bc they knew they’d never see their son again.
      They (his parents) knew the sh*storm that awaited them once enough time had went by.
      People wanna throw stones at the Laundrie’s, but if the same thing happened to my child (I have just one),
      I don’t know how I’d react because my INSTINCT would be to protect her regardless, ESPECIALLY since she’s an only child🤷🏼‍♀️ but ofc I would have overwhelming empathy for the victim, so I cannot say what I’d do.
      I can try to put myself in both families’ shoes, but it’s so difficult to say how I would respond. This theory is the ONLY thing that makes sense, Christina!!

    • @rogue1537
      @rogue1537 Před 2 lety +7

      The truth is we can only speculate. His parents probably knew the most about their relationship as a couple since they lived in their home. Was there jealousy on his part or her part? Why were they getting married and going on road trips if their relationship was strained? There is such a thing as emotional manipulation and abuse which can sometimes be even worse than physical because they create an invisible prison like situation where a person feels trapped with a selfish narcissistic abuser. Normal people dont really know the signs to look for. Since I saw this couple its so easy to look at her as the victim and him as the mean murderer. But no one really knows. Did one of them suffer from some sort of mental illness? So many things could have gone wrong. What I think is very important is for parents to be able to build a close relationship with their children so they can feel free to talk about anything and everything without being judged or told what to do. This means even when we strongly disagree with something they tell us, we need to stay quiet and guide them softly. The truth is once our children turn 18 we cant really do much to protect them other than advise and threaten😂 but the main thing I tell young people is to research narcissism and learn the behavioral pattern and if they find someone who has these to run away! Before its too late. What I find strange is do either of them have friends, ex girlfriends or boyfriends who can shine some light on the character of them. Regardless its very sad! Parents stop raising children to become selfish, entitled, and spoiled. This creates future narcissists capable of committing a crime when they dont get their way. Jails are full of them!

      @@jeremyb7659 From mosesandrooth law firm:
      FLORIDA RELATED PERSON EXEMPTION
      Under Florida law, a spouse, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother or sister, or a person otherwise related by blood or marriage to the principal actor cannot be charged with aiding and abetting under most circumstances. However, extended family members could face charges, including aunts, uncles, or cousins.
      What is the rationale behind the related person or family exemption? The reasoning is that it is unrealistic to expect family members to turn in their spouse, child, parent, etc. The duty to one’s family will often outweigh any responsibility a person might feel toward their moral or legal obligations. As a result of these public policy concerns, the Florida legislature has carved out this exemption to aiding and abetting.
      Exception To The Exemption
      There is an important caveat to the exemption. If the crime involves child neglect, child abuse, or results in the death of a child, the related person exemption does not apply. Any family member, regardless of whether they are immediate or not, can be charged.

There is no interest in being even remotely accurate when providing details about firearms, which results is the spread of disinformation, inaccuracies and confusion. Perhaps what confused this reporter is perhaps the revolver was a .357 magnum and its ammunition was .38 special caliber - all .357 revolvers can chamber (the round of ammunition, bullet with casing, will fit and fire) any .38 special ammunition. The chamber and barrel dimensions will accommodate both .357 mag ammo and the slightly shorter and less powerful (also usually less expensive) .38 special ammo. I am guessing this is what this guy meant and is confused about.

Brian's parents house need to be investigated to see if there is blood splatter. Brian left his phone and wallet on his bed.( First claimed by his parents to the police). If that was true, THEY counted on Brian doing himself in, so wait awhile before reporting him missing. Most likely parents had made arrangements for Brian go live in another country or Island. That is not what this report said at all. They said Search Teams and in no way would they allow his parents to search for him at the same time. And you are assuming all along that his remains were out in the open. Did you not understand that a bear or alligator found the body and dragged it out of the brush and ate his flesh in another place. This is often the case if two or more animals were after his body. The reporters here are misconstruing or misunderstanding the report. He shot himself out in the bushes and then some animal drug his body and this is why some parts of his effects were found 250 feet away. His parents may not have even known what he was planning. About 40-% of all of this is speculation about what is not in the report. You dont know what is not in the report and so if it isnt there you cannot decide why did he not have a cell phone, who knows maybe he did and the animal ate it by accident or he was drug right, maybe it fell out of his pocket. There is more to come maybe we should all wait until they release a final report and stop all the vilification of his family until we know for sure.

    I must add (as someone who has worked in this field as a lawyer and victims advocate for many years) that abuse, domestic or otherwise, does NOT require physical violence in law. It shocks me how many people still believe that 'not laying a hand on her/him' means there was no abuse. The law includes mental, emotional and other non-physical, forms of abuse. This doesn't just apply i relationships either. It protects employees, children, all of us. Harassment, verbal abuse and bullying, name calling etc all CAUSE real medically defined harm. Just because there is no bruise does not mean there is no abuse. If you are living or working in an environment where you flinch when you hear a door open or close, feel sick in your deepest gut all the time, over-excuse abusive behavior because someone is under stress or having a hard time at work and much more, then you are in a toxic and most likely abusive situation. Abusers are actually NOT monsters anymore than serial killers are. They look just like the rest of us, they work and live just like the rest of us. They can be smart and funny and sometimes loving. I always taught my kids about 'the math'. If someone is loving and kind 5% of the time, the math isn't working out and it is not worth the damage to your emotional and mental well-being to have them in your life. It is scary to let someone go but there is a lot of support out there if you need it as well. Non-judging support whatever you choose to do (leave or stay). You deserve support. Have it!

Young Gabby would be talked down repeatedly by his parents(stopped her from going to authorities or family). When they were on the road no-one was there to control Brian's violent outbursts and they (his outbursts) became progressively worse. I am beyond sure this treatment of Gabby existed within the Laundrie home. Brian's behavior didn't start on the road, it ended on the road. He needed to continue demeaning her, emotionally and physically, bc she was inferior in his mind, he had to do this in order to feed his narcissism. He was angry that she was becoming successful on Instagram, he couldn't take it. There were probably other things as well.
      By the way, it is known that the act of choking a woman, in terms of domestic abuse, if choking or attempts to strangle happen, the woman has a very high statistical probability of being KILLED within a year of the first episode of being choked. What I would like to see is Laundrie's parents charged with obstruction or other charges, if warranted. As is said below...they were cold and heartless to Gabby's parents about her whereabouts and apparently based on limited info released publicly...were never cooperative with police looking for Gabby's body. It is also a strange coincidence that Brian's parents "led" investigators to their son's remains. They did not appear to cooperate when their son returned home WITHOUT Gabby...but they knew where to find his body.
    As a parent of three adult sons...there is NO WAY I would act like Laundrie's parents EVER. I would do everything I could to find out what happened to any of my sons' partners or even a "missing date" and if he did something horrible...to take responsibility for his actions...period. If his parents attempted to find out from their son what he did to Gabby...we haven't heard about it. Murder means to do whatever is necessary for justice and possibly closure...even if it breaks a parent's heart.
    The Laundries need to be held accountable in some way for their lack of cooperation in...A MURDER. The pain and horror Gabby's parents must feel is impossible to understand. I have never lost a child...so I can only imagine their panic, heartbreak and misery.

    Just to put a perspective on on brian laundrie's parents. I was in a abusive relationship. a very abusive relationship, and I was living with his parents and sister. They turned a blind eye to any and all abuse they witnessed and/or heard. They blamed me. Cause in their eyes their son couldn't possibly be the monster he was, it was me who was causing him to be this way. He threw his mother outside of a window, and the father did nothing but cover it up like they always did with me. If i had to go to the hospital they gave me the story to tell. I was 18 yrs old. He tried to kill me more than once, and if he had, they would have covered for him. After I finally left him for good he found me and my son. As his sister held my 3 yr old son in her arms, she watched as he used my car door to beat the living crap out of me to where I was unrecognizable. So I do not find it hard to believe that his parents have acted the way that they have. It just shows you just how dysfunctional this family was. which unfortunately was taught to him, and Gabby being so young, didn't know that the relationship she was in was unfixable. Side note: This man did spend 4 years in prison for the crimes he committed to me and my son.

      @@Thatsswell-hr9ev Yeah.. they were able to. They took a final camping trip with the whole family. They got to spend last moments with their son. Gabby's parents didn't get to spend last moments with their daughter. Whether or not Brian's family really knew what was going on, they knew shit was about to hit the fan simply because she was missing and Brian would be the prime suspect. So you can't tell me they didn't take that camping trip with the intention of it being the last moments they would have with their son, either alive or as a free person. Their son comes home from a cross-country trip in a van that was also doubled as their "home" for the time on the road and belonged to Gabby, not even him.. then you learn she is missing, but instead of trying to help locate her, at the very least answer the pleas of Gabby's parents, they decided to ignore it and take at least one camping trip. So while it may not be illegal to do these things, it is still wrong. I would think most people agree on that.
      Roberta originally made reservations on August 24th for 2 people at a camping spot reserved at the Fort De Soto campground for 1st - 3rd of September. She cancelled those plans on August 31st and rescheduled the trip for 6th - 8th of September for 3 people. Cassie (the sister) came to visit Brian at the campsite on September 6th (first day of the trip) between 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. according to the Laundries family attorney, Bertolino. Note that is was mentioned Chris and Roberta left the camping trip a day early (September 7th), while Brian stayed behind. However, their attorney claims they all left together. I'm not sure if the parents leaving a day early has been confirmed to be accurate.
      There was also possibly a second camping trip with Brian, Chris and Roberta from around the 10th-13th of September, according to neighbors who witnessed them packing up the camper, attaching it to their truck and leaving. I'm not sure if that was ever confirmed though either. I will double check and edit to add later.

    Can’t shake the feeling that Brian’s parents “found” him the day they removed the car from the parking lot. They then reported him missing and told the police where the car was and where Brian would “likely” be. Then they waited and waited and waited. When the cops ended the search they proceeded to “find” Brian for them.
    To those who have commented about the parents…I’m really on the fence with this. By the time they knew anything Gabby was already dead. Any attorney will advice you to keep your mouth shut. Even Gabby’s family didn’t note anything particularly off about Brian. Of course Brian’s parents would have known he’s a spoiled controlling hot head but murderer? Where it gets particularly murky is when they do not respond to Gabby’s parents. Again you have to make a decision based on legal counsel cause its not like we have experience. There was no saving Gabby at this point. I particularly recall their attorney saying something to the affect of he was happy to hear they were searching for Gabby in a particular section of the Tetons. This was BEFORE they found her and it struck me as odd that he mentioned a particular area. At that time there was discussion of them having moved on from there based on the “no service” text sent from Gabby’s phone. She ended up being found in the Tetons. The parents turned over the van. The house was searched. They reported him missing and told the police where to find hm. Imagine your world completely exploding when your son confesses to you that he killed his girlfriend. They called an attorney. Probably assumed the next step was walking Brian in to the local police. That’s NOT how it works. I just cant imagine having to walk in their shoes.

      Yes. His dad knew then (when picking up the car which was before it rained) and wanted the police to find him themselves, then it flooded which was not planned. That's why the father walked right up to where he was after the water cleared up and pointed out where he was to the police after the park opened back up. The gun being rusted is it was under water and he already committed suicide before it flooded and his dad knew that. His dad wanted the police to find him, so they would not be implicated in any way and played stupid.

    You can now find at least one ‘notebook’ of Brian Laundrie online. I just read it, and within the notebook - white with blue ink😮He claims that Gabby somehow hurt herself (‘she had a bump on her forehead that got bigger over time)’, that he found her in water in a stream soaking wet, that he tried to carry her out of the woods, and finally laid her down and built a fire to warm her, but that she was shaking violently, ‘in extreme pain’, and that he kept having to wake her up fearing a concussion, and eventually he murdered her as an act of ‘mercy’, which afterwards he realized was a mistake..🙄
    Now, the real question is…Do You actually BELIEVE that Story?
    OR Do You believe that like most murderers, Brian simply was deflecting and attempting to lessen his culpability of her ‘murder’ by claiming what he did was an act of ‘mercy’ instead of anger and domestic violence…🤔..
    P.S. One of the Hosts made remarks regarding Brian’s phone; however from what I recall, Brian did not take his cellphone with him, if I recall correctly (it was mentioned in/on media reports at the time), Brian left his cellphone on the counter at his parent’s house, along with some other items..and eventually, it was turned over to Law Enforcement..(not immediately, but eventually)…🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

When he went into the courtroom, his mother was by the door and overheard by our son to say "I hope this makes a man of you." At the time- only one murder was thought to be by him until after they started piecing together circumstances of some "friends" he didn't like too much deaths including a boy who was dating his ex girlfriend he wanted to get back with (and did get her back and later set up to and did murder). His brother also went to prison for murder a year after him. The serial killer ended up dying in prison. Oddly he was sentenced to Youth Authority, a codefendant who wasn't a part of the plan but went along with it and helped try to hide the body got a longer sentence as an adult, though he too was under 18. The codefendant had a public defender, the killer had a private attorney hired by the family. Money talks. They are a twisted family and came to a twisted end.

    The older man knows nothing about guns. He said it was a .38, a cross between a .38 and a .457. Then says there were two rounds left in the bullet. Good grief.
    From his ignorant report I can determine the gun was a .357 magnum which can shoot a.38 special round and a .357 magnum round and that two live rounds were left in the cylinder.
