I always do the wave to fellow bikers, don't care what you ride. Now, if I am using my clutch at the time, I can't wave, but I do try to nod at folks letting them know I acknowledge you.
I've never had a Harley rider not wave to me or any rider of any kind of bike. I think it's in your head. I think you hate Harleys so you like dunking on Harley riders.

When I do ride in groups, which is rare, I ride with a mixed bag. All my buddies are current or former military, we ride a little of everything. So I'll be in a pack with a Harley road glide, a speed triple, a ninja 1000 an R1 and a sporster. Some cruiser bros can be a little of putting but most are cool beans. They just happen to be on their cruiser that day. Got a sport bike at home
Just Started riding - only a 2 months now and I was excited the first time I saw another bike - we threw down the 2 in perfect timing. I will never forget it. If no one ever waves to me again I am ok with it. In the about 15 bikes I have seen in that time So far its been 90% wave back - only 2 Harley rider together snubbed me.
I always say, even though the other rider can't hear me "2 wheels down my friend, safe travels" and give them the 2 fingers down. It's my road prayer I toss at everyone lol
I was just talking about this with @FreeFree2021 this weekend. I give the two down to everyone I see too. I look at it as and think to myself.. "I wish you a safe journey my brother!" I am fine with not getting it back too. Here's where it MUST stop. When you go to a bike event or rally, it's off. It makes no sense to acknowledge EVERY biker you see when there are 200,000 bikers in town. I hate to see someone give me the two down sign and I don't give it back because I'm NOT that guy. But we'd all be riding one handed if we kept up this tradition at motorcycle rallies! I will now get off my soapbox.
Classic two finger salute or nod whenever possible. I also drive a Jeep Wrangler and we have our own wave thing going. Sometimes I get things twisted and I wave at Jeeps from my moto and to motos on my Jeep! 😂

Even though I drive a car and only have both licenses so far (still no dual sport like I want tho), I wave at motorcycles bc I really want to get one. It does feel like bikers barely wave despite the fact that you're waving bc you clearly own or have experience w bikes, but at the end of the day its okay bc they most likely still acknowledged you to some extent if they were paying attention. Some ppl also just dont want to let go of the handlebars tbh. Ik when I get a bike it will take me a WHILE to be able to only use one hand steering sometimes.
I feel that family. I usually wave or ✌🏿..I dont understand how folks get on a motorcycle and ride UNHAPPY! 😂 . I wouldn't say the Ride wave is fading. I think people who are into their thing , usually stay in it. I haven't been able to ride like I usually do due to work and trying to fix this damn Italian bike lol.but hell since moving to New Mexico , I noticed folks are into lifted trucks, Hot Air balloon- life. It's trippy but really cool. Some of my coworkers have been introducing me to the UTV- SXS life. Really cool but it'll never keep me from hoping on 2s. Just a amazing vibe everytime.
It is when I ride my Honda 300L, none of the hardly guys waved this summer after Sturgis, its like they are worried about sending the wrong message...LOLOLOL>OL>OLOL
@tymobyrne4451 some folks gotta maintain the "image" I guess. It's not all of them though. I literally passed a 4 pack of riders yesterday. 2 were on Cruisers, most likely Harleys and 2 were on.......scooters, lol. So, not everyone is stuck up about it.

Done?! Huh?! The bikers I've seen usually do wave. Only seldom do bikers not wave like maybe you can't let go of the clutch cuz your in the middle of shifting. The best wave I've seen so far was a FOOT WAVE 🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽
I’m new and I don’t wave yet just nods. I don’t feel strong enough to control the bike with my right. I’ll do the wave but for now I nod and think about my failure of waving
My friend and I were out riding on Memorial Day. He was on a ZX14, I have a ZX10R……we had a group of Harley riders pass us going the opposite direction. Probably about ten or twelve bikes. I just left my wave out there till we passed the whole group. All but maybe one returned the wave. I wave at everyone.
I'm sick of people waving at me when I'm leaned in mid-corner so I ignore them now, but otherwise I try to give a bit of wave or nod to most bikes I pass. But the 2 finger point thing always seemed silly. I also ride a harley and I don't agree with wave discrimination. We're all just motorcycle nerds.🤣
the meaning with 2 fingers is saying keep 2 wheels down on the ground. Lots of people don't know what it means and i don't do it to moped people because that is a different coulter. They don't live in the same world as motorcyclist. So it really is up to you. I just did it yester dad and people do it back. So no its not dead.

In the uk we drive on the left so waving with the right hand off the throttle isn’t a great idea
I’m in Mississippi and I rarely have anyone wave back. And I’m on a cruiser, and even other cruisers ignore me. 😢. All gravy though. Just show love.

If I'm too busy for the wave I can always squeeze in a nod. A well timed nod feels really cool, to me, but it probably looks just as dorky as my wave.

I got five waves as a new biker. Left four hanging cause I was scared to let go. Almost crashed with the fifth.

New rider here, Ninja 500, the ONLY time I haven't gotten waves is from big saddle bag Harley riders, and that has only happened three times so far
Central NJ, almost everyone returns my wave (and I always wave unless I can't because of using the clutch).
Waves for days, no matter the bike. I even do goofy waves to add some humor.
Even slauted a cf moto rider since I ride a KTM.
We all give the 2 bones here in Ohio. Only exception is when someone is grabbing the clutch.
I've noticed a lot of Harley riders will not wave at non Harely riders. Like you have to be a Harely rider to get the wave.

Made this video a few weeks ago and just got around to posting it. Rode three days in a row and waved about 250 times lol. I guess I was wrong.
People on Harley's and cruisers do not wave to sport bike riders. No point in expecting it. It's always been that way.
