    Love the underlying message in all your videos, that there is no one fix for everyone....

      Absolutely David and super happy the message is clear. Options are good, understanding is even better. 👍

    Superb video. I would never have worked out those relationships between turn and wrist hinge! Thank you.

    Great thought provoking explanation which now has me scratching my head ahead of the next session down the range. I have tried to work on and believe I have reasonable hip & shoulder rotation which I visualise as providing potential force, assuming I retain that degree of rotation in the backswing and were to video it and worked on changing my wrist set, ignoring initial results which I envisage will vary greatly until it settles in, what cues should I be looking for to recognise when I have adjusted the wrist set optimally to my rotation? Eg, should I see club at horizontal, less or more or watch for another visual sign?

      I would asses rotation then work on a + or - 90degree left arm/Club shaft orientation. Match 90 shoulder turn and 90 degree arm to shaft at the top of backswing and you won’t be too far away Bart. Hope that helps and thanks as ever for the great feedback!

    Stuart, to what extent are you concerned (or not concerned) about wrist extension during the setting of the wrists? I understand this also depends on your grip.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  Před rokem +1

      Wrist extension and flexion is very dependant on grip John; in my opinion, over extension or flexion of either wrist is masking another issue that’s greater. Corrupting wrist angles is a dangerous game in the long run, rarely do they hold up for any length of time.

    Hi Stuart, I really enjoy your videos. I do have a question about wrist wrist hinge that I hope you can help clear up. Do the wrists hinge vertically or horizontally? Or, I've even seen a video that says it is correct to have the left wrist hinge vertically while the right wrist hinges horizontally. Thank you.

      GMD thanks so much for the kind words, I hope the enjoyment continues. Regards to rotations of the hinge, to think the wrists hinge on one plane would be hugely short sighted (that wasn’t referenced at you of course, more the information out there) the wrists hinge on all three planes, vertical, horizontal and rotational. This won’t necessarily point you in the direction you may want but hopefully with prohibit you from “stopping” one of the planes of motion. I will do a video on this topic this week for you. 😊

      @@GoodGolfCoaching Oh wow, I had no idea about the three planes, I'm already looking forward to the video. Thank you.
