Fantastic interview, collection and conversation. Jim’s seemingly ‘simple’ approach to collecting complicated watches, and Wei,. your explanation of your journey in the realm of time pieces are both so relatable to me. And most of all, the underpinning of it all is the passion and the human connections and friendships established. Because to me, it’s is not just the singular obsession for the pieces, of which there is plenty of, that keeps us going. But also this dimension of binding relationships between like minded passionate people that appeals to me and drives me in this this pastime and community. Thank you Wei for the heart and mind you bring to this shared passion, and Jim for sharing your collection and the philosophy behind it.

What is this watch. It’s so hideous
which watch do you mean? If its the Kodo, it's the world's first constant force tourbillon where, balance, cage and remontoire are all on the same axis. A rather amazing technical achievement and to me very beautiful. In terms of design harmony, integration of movement and dial, finishing, even acoustically it is sublime. However you are or course entitled to your opinion very informed Spiro :)
