Hey Jordan! This is SUCH a great point. Thank you for your comment. You're absolutely right. People have and still do, complicate the tarot (I am probably complicit in doing so). I view it like music. Music can be simple and so beautiful. One soprano singer can move a whole stadium. That said, so can an orchestra. Both can be great, and can lead one to similar states of awe, but both do it differently. From a mystical perspective, this is also true. The path of zen versus the path of high magick may seem opposite, but I imagine they may lead to the same place.
Have you ever seen the Magickal Tarot? I think you should try to get a copy. It really has a lot to do with what you teach
