Chicken Everland This had nothing to do with the burgers. Given how the cashier was giving Geoff discounts, he probably was paying for whatever was taken out of the discounts. In other words, that guy had wasted a ton of cash over the course of those 3 months.

People would like to think themselves as a normal person but the reality is different. Some people wouldn't have questioned the discount, some people would have asked and then say nothing after the guy mentions Emo's. As much as people would like to think of others as good and honest, there are many people who are not.
Twice a week for three months is roughly 26 times to the bar. Four burgers each time. Twelve dollars per burger.
That's 1248 dollars in food.
And the guy was giving about a 70 to 80% discount...
So that's between 900 and 1000 dollars in free food.
