Who's going to upgrade? What're your thoughts?
I've been using the RS2 for a while, one change i'd like to see is the option to auto-lock the touchscreen. Find myself hitting it by accident so many times. I know there is a lock function, but setting it maybe so that it auto-locks after 30-60 seconds of inactivity would be great.
Can you view the Raveneye tranmission output on the RS3 screen or only on the RS3 Pro? Also does the RS3 have "balancing view" or only the RS3 pro?

What I would like to see in a gimbal is a hdmi in and a hdmi out at another location of the gimbal where the cable won’t interfere with the motors etc.

Since there is auto lock now, the next major upgrade should be auto balance. This will makes lens changing much easier.

Hey man. Great video. Do you think this will handle a larger front heavy lens, specifically the Lumix 24-70 which I super front heavy on my S5.
Super niche question. When comparing Active Track on the RS3 with Lumix S5ii vs active track on RS3 + Raveneye with Lumix S5ii, does the use of Raveneye work better for fast paced solo sports (tripod, solo/self filming)? As in, can the autofocus be locked onto the subject better when using Raveneye, vs relying solely on the S5ii AF interface with the RS3.

Another good reason for the pro: remote control. The RS3 Pro can basically replace a PT or PTZ head or camera with even the RavenEye and an iOS device, or of course DJI's $2500 pro remote system, but the RavenEye works great for casual use. I sent back the RS3 non-pro for the pro because, if I understand correctly, it doesn't support remote control with the RavenEye.

5:53 I would like to remove cable over the place. Make some adapter with usb-C and hdmi wich are conected to the gimbal but hided using that pins. i love the pins conection
Ive never put my motors to sleep going from briefcase back to standard on my rsc 2. Its actually very fast and simple.
Would this work with a Panasonic MFT camera not listed on the compatible cameras, or does it have to have a supported camera set up on it to work?
Does the rs3 (not pro) go with tilta power supply base plate...and tilta float ecosystem. Since it has battery grip removable.

Yes! 100% worth the upgrade as it will be more responsive, smoother, and function better. I used to own the crane series and loved it but these work so well. However, if it still works for you, then you can stick with what you have. Your choice brother 🙏🏻 let me know what you think
How many pounds was that tig on the rs2 i want to buy the rs2 or rs3 pro for my s5 rig it ways about 11.3lbs do you think they would work or would i have to strip the rig a bit, or should i just get crane 3s

Have most of the latest gimbals but still prefer the older ones that didn’t have the touch screens and unnecessary modes that always seem to get switched up by accident during the middle of a shoot. Just give me a simple gimbal that’s light with strong motors.
Yeah! I still use the sc. Just need 2 buttons and thats it. The problem with the sc if I want to do very fast movements it cannot keep up. Even on lighter cameras
Agree. i have the SC and I won't upgrade because I just want it to stabilise my camera and it does that. I don't need other shit.
@@whatwelearned I had the SC for two years and the motors finally gave out a couple of days ago. Upgraded to the RS3 and the difference in quality and motor strength is day and night. No more rumbling when making swift movements.

You mentioned the RS3 pro is for "bigger" cameras. I'm need a gimbal for my A7S3 with a fairly heavy 14-70mm lens...is that NOT a bigger camera? I have no need for LIDAR at the moment, so with my setup would a NON-Pro version of the gimbal be appropriate?

It works well but I find it a bit tricky to hold. I would recommend the vertical mounting plate so you can hold the gimbal normally 👌🏻🎥

@@benfilming Well, they both produce the same results, and actually I am a better gimbal operator on the weebil S because I got so used to it... still working out how not to get robotic like movements from the ronin! But I love how the ronin locks up, how sturdy it feels, how easy it is to set up. Just the sturdy build quality alone makes it such a joy to use, so im stoked with it!

The RS3 combo comes with the focus motor. All depends on what size and weight your camera setups will be. If it’s less than 3kg, then go for the RS3! 🙏🏻

The rs3 pro, when connected to raven eye, you can have active track from the gimbal without the need for a phone, rs3 doesn't do this

Idk if it’s “game changing.” Locks are nice but the stabilization is 99% the same as the RS2 tbh.

Always honest in my reviews, guys. People who have tried the locking system say they weren’t bothered until they use it. I’ve used it on a few jobs now and it’s so much quicker and very handy. Great addition. I don’t care what people do as long as they’re happy with their choices. You don’t have to buy anything and I never told anybody to buy anything
Axis lock is so unimpressive. It should be standard. Making a big deal about it just makes me wonder why these "smart people" took so long to incorporate this feature. And every youtuber is hyperbolic about how good it is. Massive nothing burger.
