  • Hesitation and then a CLUNK between park and reverse. Also slippage between 3rd and 4th gear. It’s a 2020 gladiator and it all started at about 49K miles… Jeep cares? Let’s see! 😵‍💫

I had so many problems with both of my Rubicons, so much so that I sold them. I loved those vehicles for their capability off-road so it was hard to part ways with them. A year ago, I bought a Ford Bronco and have been enjoying it much more that I could have ever imagined, truly an amazing machine.

If the rpm is going up between shifting...there's already damage. The whole transmission along with tcm(if it is separate) should be replaced and ecm reflashed. If they replace the transmission, make sure the cooling lines and cooler are replaced too, because all of that is contaminated.
I purchased a new transmission for my 05 f150 just because of age and it started slipping immediately, the dealership replaced the transmission, cooler lines, radiator, trans cooler under warranty.

Mine did this from the day I bought it until the day I sold it. Never knew it was a problem, lol

I have the same issues and the trans is slipping in all gears when the rpm is around 1000-2000 and I try to accelerate. The RPM rises to about 3500 and it slips until it matches... Also does it between shifts if it drops below 2000 rpm. Dealer dropped the transmission pan, found the oil full of particles and a burned smell. I've been waiting for about a week now for Chrysler to approve a new transmission. This is a shit show, my Jeep (2019 JLU V6) has 70K km (about 44K miles). My summer season may be down the drain and I'm pissed.

Yup. A lot of JT and JLs are having this issue. Mine goes in tomorrow. Thinking a new transmission is in order. Said they’d need to keep it for a “while”. When I asked what a “while” is, they didn’t have and answer. 😳
