I wait for each game like a puppy waiting to eat, this has been one magnificent hell of a ride and the best is yet to come. LGR
It's not lack of heart, it's lack of grit/toughness. They avoid playing physical to get pucks and they prefer to poke at the puck rather than take the body. Now they have done well in the regular season, but we will find out if they have enough grit/toughness in the playoffs.

@@raoulduke3770My favorite people on the internet are ones that just make claims that are easily debunked. Thank you for doing the research for them and me. I looked up where we stood in hits and saw 7th, so more phyiscal than most of the NHL. I have no idea why people think we aren't physical.
Bro.....the NYR are at the top of the league in 50/50 puck battle possessions. Artemi Panarin is having the season of his career because he is CONSTANTLY USING HIS BODY AND STICK TO TAKE BACK CONTROL OF PUCKS. Go look at the Overtime Goal against Philly. Thats all Panarin. Using only his stick he touched the puck on both sides of the offensive zone in one continuous motion and used his stick to win the board battle on a rolling puck and then backhand a chip pass to Trochek which led to the pass to Fox and then game over. THIS ISNT 1999. physical hockey is not Milan Lucic putting you through the glass. It all needs to serve a purpose in a system. The Rangers are in the top 7 in hits, 50/50 pucks won. They play WITH SKILL.

Great win tonight against Flyers! I don't want to be a Debby Downer, but seriously, how many times are the Rangers going to turn over the puck these last few months, especially Miller? This will haunt them in the playoffs for sure.
How about Roslovic and the lackadaisical line changes?
This team is really good. I do worry about their ability to play with 60 minutes of energy as needed for playoff hockey. They’re so good that, from what I’ve seen, when they lose, it often looks self-inflicted - they get too cute with the puck, defend by waving their sticks, and stop skating hard. If they can minimize or even eliminate those lapses in the playoffs and stay healthy, they will be very dangerous and really could beat anyone.
1994 team won the Presidents trophy and Messier held the ECF trophy both said to be cursed on their way to their first cup in 54 years in what was said to be cursed!!
If they win the Cup it will be there play at center ice and moving the puck out of there zone fast !!! LETS GO RANGERS !!!

I watched the bruins game with their local broadcast, they kept calling ranger goals a gift. Yes they were "lucky" bounces but if you dont give up on plays and keep pushing you position yourself for thise bounces. And not giving up on plays is having heart.
Bruins broadcast is an antidote for insomnia. Jack Edwards went to the Joe Biden school of broadcasting
In my experience most fans are very emotional and everything is shift by shift. By. Game by game. I find myself in that trap too especially during January I was so fed up with their play in January. But I played hockey for the first half of my life and now back again as a coach and I know it's all part of the process hockey's a very demanding sport more demanding than most and you're not going to be able to play your a game every single night.
Maybe they’re immune to the curse. President trophy in 1994 and 2024. Another cup 30 years later. It writes itself.

rangers fan from the 80’s. My take : This team passes way too much. Need to always have someone in front of the net more, need more grit, don’t want the president trophy. Miller , Goodrow need to go. I say they don’t get past round 2( unless some of these better teams get knocked out, don’t see them winning a 7 game series against, Boston Tampa, Florida Carolina.
They can beat Boston and possibly Tampa. Carolina would be extremely tough, even more so with 59 on their roster, but a decided advantage in goal for NYR. It's Florida that will pick them apart.
Not only do we have depth, we have fast transitions and maintain our formations between zones.

I knew we were a good team but this run since allstar break the last couple wks made me a believer. I get scared we were gonna resort back to those playoff games where we dont score.. but this team is different . We got some balls. We got enough grit im praying to finish this . What a season its been now lets finish this. I.DONT WANT PRESIDENT TROPHY.. No teams that win the presidents ever win the cup.. let the panthers or bruins get that plz
