i love this chaotic decklist. thanks cardmarket!
Can you play this like once a week? Also, I suggest adding some Un-cards to the decks. Don’t go too crazy, but Eye-Spy and Boomstacker might be fun.
would be nice if this was a buy list (or easy to get into a want list) - Thank you!
You buildt a mtg computer
There's only one decklist here!
Can we give a round of applause to Thoralf for being a good ref and keeping this insane chaos together.
👏👏👨⚖️
i just thought the same. it's good thoralf knows the rules.
Thoralf saved us droves of comments in here yes 😅
Yeah, Respekt dabei die Übersicht zu behalten.
Un aplauso para Thoralf, the Goat!!!
The fact that crim is soaked while carl is just vibing with a Cardigan on is absolutely hilarious to me
all chaos decks also known as "good thing toralf is basically a judge or else noone could figure out how these spells resolve"
You guys need to turn on the AC for poor Crim!
That's what I was thinking, too. I think Crim is used to ac, and when overseas, it does take some getting used to not having it.
i was wondering why he was soaked lmao
We are in Germany, there is no AC here 😅 we are all used to it, but poor Crim took some getting used to it
@@maximus574it's a German thing, we do have AC in Italy.
@@JonnMcDude well jaeh because italy is hot like forever but germany had like 1 day over 30 a year xD now in the last 10-20 years it got so much hotter ....
Thoralf carried this game by actually knowing how everything interacts/works. Insane his knowledge of the game.
This is the fastest hour of commander I've ever seen and should be a quiz for anyone being a judge.
For game of chaos (~37:00): Life totals are only checked on resolution, so no one actually dies until someone decides to stop flipping. So the winner can still choose to continue even if their opponent is dead. If the dead player wins, they're back in the game (and the other is now dead), but this can continue. With agreement, this can theoretically go to one player at infinite-ish life and the other super dead (but not a deterministic amount, so you need to play it out fully).
More usefully, if you're being targetted by an effect on the stack that will deal a lot of damage to you (and, for some reason, you cannot target its controller with Game of Chaos), you can keep going to gain enough life to survive the damage. But it's risky, of course.
Man this really has become my favourite mtg channel. You guys are amazing.
Thank you! :) that is really nice to hear
@@CardmarketMagic My favourite card games channel in general, I'm a yugioh player at heart but the last few months I've gotten into magic and no matter how much amazing mtg content I consume yours is the one that hypes me up the most whenever I see the notification.
I agree
I honestly agree. Between the battle for best standard decks, trivia shows, and now a total chaos game where everyone is in to it. Superb work fellas.
Same here! Best paper pauper content on YT
Crim really brought 4 Judge Towers and pretended they are commander decks and made you play it. Kingshit! I love it!
Turns out the judge's tower was just 4 Crim Decks in a trenchcoat.
Magic, exactly as Garfeild inteneded.
Carl, keep edditing like this, the little voice lines when the player cards are drawn are FIRE
Thank you! But this was one of the first videos on our channel from our newest editor, Fele :) I agree that this he did wonderful work here
@@CardmarketMagic Fele is a wonderful human being and we hope that they get lots more videos to edit yes
Random notion for a video:
Two-headed Giant commander game where Jamin and Carl face off against Thoralf playing two decks at once. Think of all the jokes you could make about Thoralf "playing with himself"? C'mon! Dew it!
That would be so good! Imagine the brewing possibilities...
19:35 Judge here. Knowledge pool is a trigger, so like any other trigger they go on the stack in AP/NAP order. The simplest way to put it is each player's spells will be replaced by spells from the closest knowledge pool to AP's RIGHT, since the furthest NAP player's pool will go on the stack last, and will resolve first removing the AP's spell.
thanks, that confused me!
all the decks were so different i loved it
Chaos comment
0:55 the shot of crim sweating profusely racked with shame and potential is burnt into my eyes
Man, Thoralf being a clutch part of this chaos made it such a smooth hour of watching.
I love that Carl always chose chaos just for the fun of it even if it meant that he could die, and he was still happy about it. This is the true spirit of chaos
“Flip some coins, Flip some tables” had me dying 💀🤣💀
The perfect game to show Magic newcomers. Even more complicated than Judge Tower. I love it.
I propose "Command Tower" as a name for this format.
A chaos commander deck and a good Judge Tower are pretty much built under the same criteria (with the exception that the Judge Tower shouldn't include lands or mana rocks).
I don’t know. Judge tower is pretty bad and this looks roughly equal. Judge tower is the fastest way to feel that you have no grip on the rules of the game.
@@lucasriddle3431 JT decks should absolutely run lands, just to make someone forget to tap them in the upkeep
@@ih8people Tapping lands every upkeep is *pretty* tedious, but it is a matter of taste. Non-basics can be more interesting.
OH HELL YEAH.
Been waiting for some more Commander action on here!
Thank you for the hours of entertainment, guys!
EDIT: Also, thank you for the great editing - showing whose turn it is, commander damage, enlarging the cards to read, etc! It's great :D
Thank you! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it :D This is actually one of our first videos edited by our brand new editing superstar, Fele!
@@CardmarketMagic they did an amazing job! really awesome editing
@@CardmarketMagic great job to Fele, so!
As it has been said several times already, thank you to Thoralf for being an incredible force of order in this world of chaos. But also a huge thanks to the editor, as the animations made it really easy to keep track of what cards did, what was resolving as a result of what, and everything else in this chaotic game.
Carl playing commander and losing his mind about how good the cards are is too adorable lol
Props to Thoralf for folowing every triggers and such
This video was literally the perfect chaos commander video. Love everyone who played, this might be my new favorite video here
Great editing and I liked the subtle touch of putting vial smasher and ludevic faces on top of each other commanders.
The intro was so good with Crimm laughing maniacally 😂
I imagine it's 200 degrees in that room.
Okay this is genuinely the best commander video I have ever seen. Watching these 4 play this absolutely insane pile and Thoralf having to reign it all in so it can keep moving was amazing.
10:12 that “WHAT” from jamin was so real you can just tell 😂
This is easily one of my favorite games of commander ever put on video, thank you guys so much, the whole thing was a riot.
I'm thrilled you enjoyed it :D it was the most fun headache I've ever had
2:45 "Du bist dran" Klassisch Deutsch :D
I love this! I used to have a Norin the Wary Chaos deck back in the day, this was too good!
This was hands down one of the most fun games of mtg i've seen in a while, and it was an absolute blast seeing the shenanigans that came out. Also, as others have mentioned - major kudos to thoralf for keeping the game going smoothly, because chaos can absolutely get crazy with the amount of triggers and such happening xD
As always the editing is on point on this channel. Keeping track of everything in this game was breeze. Really love those rules only cutouts.
This is my favorite Cardmarket video yet, partly because I love Crim's energy with the German boys, and partly because these four versions of the deck have the most insane interactions I've ever seen. I honestly feel like this might be a new format all on its own. I would be so happy to see these four decks play again just to see what new versions of chaos come up.
I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it! 😃 but I also don't know if we'd survive another game 😅
@@CardmarketMagic you don't need to play again yourself. Invite guests and offer them a reward if they survive a game!
It is great to see, that everyone can start an mtg theme channel and make original and cool staff! Great job, keep going!!
I've been waiting for this moment yearss Chaos baby
Me: I want to see the new CardmarketMagic video, but I also want to see the guys from MTGGoldfish...
The boys: You are not going to believe this!
I'm only 20 minutes in and it already seems like Pandora's box in a mtg game, I LOVE IT!
What a great idea! This was a really fun watch, and great job on keeping up with all the triggers in this chaos!
I love this! It's what a game of Ascending Rules Uno evolves into, with the players helping each other remember the rules and figuring out the rules interactions together. It's fun to see the shift from each player confidently playing to win, into playing together as a group just trying not to fall out of the bobsled. Winning becomes secondary to exploring the design space.
0:50 The way Thoralf grinned here makes me think Jamin was the only one who didn't know what was going on. I applaud Thoralf for being extremely meticulous in keeping up the stack and trigger integrity as best he could, and I definitely respect Carl's decision to nope out early in the Game of Chaos so he didn't have to subject himself to this madness any longer than necessary.
True chaos for Crim would've been to continue the Game of Chaos spell when Carl had -8 life.
You don't die until a winner chooses not to continue and SBA are checked, so you can maximize the life gain by risking everything over and over again
That would have been delightfully chaotic! :D but you cannot really blame Crim for making the smart play 😅
I love how Carl has almost no clue what is happening so he chooses the most chaotic option possible! Immer gerade aus!!
This has to be one of the most entertaining Commander games I've ever watched. It was hilarious and very interesting mechanically.
If you showed me this decklist and wanted me to tell you if this was a commander deck or a judges tower then the only hint I would have to go on is that there’s lands in there.
Missed partner trigger on Zndrsplt, when a partner enters play you can search your library for the other half. Also, Knowledge Pool gets a lot easier when you remove the lands.
There's no partner in the deck, so all it would do is shuffle the deck.
One of the best mtg game play videos on CZcams! So much fun
"We dreamed of creating the world's strongest [chaos MTG game], and we succeeded." - Crim, maybe? Lol, amazing game as always, guys 😄.
One of the nuttiest commander matches I've seen. Good stuff.
seeing y’all play commander is JOYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! thanks for keeping up the INSANE editing work and production!!
Thank you! :D
i loved the intro: The fake ticktock pranks vibe was so nailed.
I haven't even started the video yet and already know this is gonna be GREAT
You guys have so many great ideas about how to make the great show. So much creativity! Great job keep it up :) 👏
Thank you! :D
Fun fact with Game of Chaos - You don't have to stop when a player is at 0 or less. State-based actions are not checked until the spell finishes resolving, so they could have kept going until one of them was at some astronomical number, which also could have made Crim lose in the end.
Favourite magic CZcams channel by a mile. Love the weird edh games you play, please keep them coming
Thank you! We'll do our best so that the next one also delivers :)
I dont even play MTG but cardmarket bros are making it a legitimate consideration, keep up the amazing content! I wanna see more feature matches!
It's a huge compliment that you watch these without even playing the game :D but we also do recommend playing magic. I promise it's a whole lot of fun!
@@CardmarketMagic I legitimately dont know which format to pick up though, I dont think I have enough friends for EDH and I dont know which of the 3/4 1v1 formats is accessible for newcomers
Crim and Carl's game of chaos was a microcosm of the entire game. Crim: "Chaos!" Carl: "Yes, chaos!"
minute 20 in my brain‘s already exiled, great work. the second knowlegde pool gave me the rest
35:31
This is commander, this insane sequence of flipping coins is what makes Magic the greatest game ever made
Amazing game! Full crazyness, yet it was clearly unraveled.
This was wild! I'd love for you guys to do more commander :)
I'll be honest, when the second knowledge pool came down is when I got lost with what was going on and how the triggers resolved. But then I just leaned into the chaos and enjoyed the sheer insanity of it all. Awesome video guys!
Thank you :)
Knowledge Pool and Omen machine were some rares that my brother and I opened at the start of our Magic journey.. We both loved those effects and my brother was almost immediately cemented as an Izzet mage.. Loving effects like scrambleverse and Hive Mind... never did a Puzzlebox lock thank goodness
this is the greatest mirror match of all time
Cardmarket commander? What a treat!
Yay! My favorite kind of Magic! Way back in the day I was peer pressured to take knowledge pool out of my norin chaos deck.
This is your sign to put it back in :)
Such an enojyable experience, I hope there's more commander gameplay coming
There will be indeed. We will be filming more commander than normal in the next 6 months :)
Editing was really good, very clean.
Love your guys' stuff. Some of the best paper content that is out there!
Thank you :) that's so nice of you to say
other than arena i only play commander and this has to my favorite game ive ever seen and heard of. I love chaos in commander and this is perfect showing of why.
Damn that’s so good. Thoralf said it exactly right, it’s an MTG autobattler. Thanks for the video!
Loved the Game! only feels bad moment is gonna come when tons more chaos decks join the commander player base ;D
You know I think what sets you guys apart from other Commander channelssssss' videos is that you do themed ones. Like this one with everyone playing the same chaotic deck or when you did the least popular ones. Keep up the good work, only 2.3k subs till 100k!
Thank you :D that's very kind of you to say!
Great job editing this chaos!
honestly at the mention of this game basically being an auto battler would love to see a version of this that is played with non chaos decks but have omen machine, knowledge pool, gate to aether, psychic battle and avatar of slaughter (maybe?) starting in play and cant be destroyed. could be fun, could also be really fast
This gives me the perfect idea of a deck to make to drive my friends crazy
Knowledge Pool and Omen Machine are giving me flashbacks to when I used to play Lavinia lol
Insane reffing by Thoralf! Made it so easy to follow
It's nice to see Carl's cards for each player, I had the same idea for Cirdan secret votes
We still use them for casual games! what you don't see in the video is the 20-minute cut where we realized we needed a coin, but did not have a good one, so I ran to my computer and whipped these up instead :)
Loved this game of judges tower!
Only 20 minutes in and I'm loving this, thank you so much.
Thank you for watching it :)
I wanna play a game of magic with Thoralf!
Don't we all?
Poor Crim was sweating so hard :O really thought he might not feel well - to the gameplay: hell lot of fun, usually i get bored seeing 1 hour of choatic boardstates, but this was enticing and i really wanted to see how it turns out in the end :D
This one, was a blind like, even before start of video. Keep it up guys, and as always. Theres a like for Jamins friendly face ^^
Jamin does have the friendliest face :)
Sheldon: Hey...who took the cards we set aside for the final scenario of our Judge Exam?
*Behind him, a Crim-shaped shadow slowly walks out of the door*
I play Norin the Wary (Chaos) quite often. Game of Chaos is one of my favorite ways to get people on board with the chaos aspect. Killing an Oloro player with a coinflip that deals 128 damage is so satisfying
I guess they pointed all the lights to Crim, man is sweating like crazy 😂
That was one hell of a roll coaster ride
What a blast, absolutely blessed Collaboration
love the oops all ball lightning reference
I never wanted to play a game like this, but I always wanted to see one played. Thanks for fulfilling my selfish wish. Lmao!
I really appreciate the work you put in to making unique content. Thanks for the fun!
Thank you for watching it :) we put a lot of work and love into these videos so we're thrilled to have people to show them to
That was exhausting to watch, I can't imagine what playing it was like.
The most enjoyable headache I've ever had
This was an entertaining game of judge's tower
Another gameplay video, let's go!
You guys need to do this again. I want to see what other crazy stuff can happen!
Seems like a friendly game of Commander Judge Tower
You all should of thrown in each deck 1 chaos wand lol would been a perfect add.. Also one of my favorite crazy cards. Would went perfect for the theme . Great ep guys.
Here's the card text so you all can see what I ment
Chaos Wand : Target opponent exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile an instant or sorcery card. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost. Then put the exiled cards that weren't cast this way on the bottom of that library in a random order.
fantastic episode!
