If it's not times when the old is being sacrificed to the new in this sport, it's just the downright baffling and for one reason or another, whether in the UFC otherwise, it pisses off the fanbase. These are the fights that made fans the angriest when they were announced.

"The guy who punched Kattar 447 times in the face" sounds so unreal but its actually how the fight went down. Max is a beast.
That's the kinda fight that makes you never talk the same. Never think the same. Never feel the same. 447 brain rattles is insane.
You cant convince me that hell he okay in his 70s.
These men are modern day gladiators. Highest respect to every single one of them. Even the shit talkers.
Men gotta get paid somehow. When you're dumb, you fight😂
The guy who dodged Kattar's punches without looking walking backwards while talking trash to his corner too
@@reklezzz903870??
Ill be happy if brother makes it that long with no complications. Dont get me wrong i dont wish that on anybody. Im just worried about these fighters when they get hit so much.
Still never came within a foot of actually finishing Kattar. Holloway has always been more impressive on paper than in reality.
@@thequinlanshow3326 but he's a showmaker and that's what we love about him my guy
Pereira vs Hill wasn't even the most hated fight on the Card. Very few people actually disliked it even as a main event (cause most people agreed Holloway vs Gaethje was the real main event).
Bo Nickal Vs Cody Brundage was the hated fight on that card
The video is only about headliners not undercard fights.
@@Cilent__ That's exactly why it was hated, because Nickal got catapulted to main event spot over Jiri and other more deserving athletes based on what? 3rd fight in the UFC, 6th in total, paired against a can everyone knew he was going to beat just because he's the newest golden goose project of Dana White. That + his arrogant attitude and behavior after the fight is exactly people hated it (and him) so much.
@@branospevak4098 it wasn't a headliner though. This video is only about headliners.
@Cilent__ nope this video is about fan hated fights and the guy who made the video was wrong about almost everyone one
@@Johnson-gn4vx 00:56 . Nope. You're wrong and should listen before saying someone is wrong.
UFC 300 was a really positive experience for me because I watched it with my Dad and that type of quality time is worth more than money.
aw is your dad looking over your shoulder while you type that
@@fubey8x nah, his dad was probably busy looking at the back of your mom's head.
@@fubey8xyou’re lame.
Yahushua HaMashiach is the Truth
@@fubey8x You probably don't have a dad. Or do you have two?
1st fight that comes to mind is the meaningless Jones v Stipe fight. Called that fight dumb before it was even announced and its only gotten dumber and less meaningful as time has gone on.
I dunno, it's not the dumbest fight announced.
The belt has never meant much, other than to the person making ppv points. The goat of one weight class fighting another ?
Course that makes sense
THANK YOU! Jon beating a man who got out grappled by kneeless Francis means nothing just like him beating a like 42 year old, 3+ year removed stipe does NOTHING and changes NOTHING.
@@skindred1888 my man, stipe hasn't been the HW goat in a LONG time. Dudes washed. Hasn't fought in years. But you think making a fight between a dude who can't stop taking PEDs and beating women and a middle age man who hasn't fought in almost 5 years? You're dim
@@contentcopso does tom
@@NOT-A-Monolithit would mean he beat the real champion of his own division how does that mean nothing
I can’t wait for jones to be out of the active fighter conversation
He will linger just like conor has.
Which sucks to say but it's true. It's more drama and twitter bullshit than actually fighting.
He’s been out of it since his last fight ended. Dude has been active for the better part of the last 6 years
Wait Jones is considered an active fighter? Since when?
@@kalebnolan8343 always has been. That’s how they keep him #1 p4p
4:07 costa was injured. That was why romero got the titleshot
Yoel is a monster rn, and he's 45+ years old. Nobody was complaining when Yoel got that title shot, and I think people wanted that Yoel fight more than Costa at the time, since the majority of people thought he beat Costa.
Exactly!
I originally wanted to see jones vs stipe. But that's gone at this point. Bet it'll have a boring undercard too. Fuck that fight
and i guarantee you'll be watching with the rest of us.. so stop your whining 😂
Me too...
@DynastyIcon fat jones wins, old man stipe loses. I wont be wasting my time
@@justina7794Jones always wins so nothing new
@@DynastyIcon if it had a sick undercard then yes, but when was the last time Jon headlined a great card?
Fedor vs Godzilla, far surpasses Godzilla vs Kong. I'm pretty sure plasma breath wouldn't do a feather's worth of work against that dead-eyed stare.
I do love that Jones ducking Aspinall is constantly coming up now.
Its all there is to talk about when it comes to him. Ducking/twitter tantrums/reyes robbery. Hope thats all everyone remembers him for
@@justina7794 Don't forget cheating with PEDs, wife-beating, and running over pregnant women with his car😂
White was on bad terms with Diaz wtf lol
I was wondering that too
Hes literally never been on good terms with him these guys dont even research at this point its embarrassing
UFC 500 main event just announced Santino Edgar vs Rush Holloway
I remember when Dan Henderson vs Rich Franklin 2 was announced and literally nobody wanted that. So Dana canceled that fight quickly after it was announced 😆. I remember he acknowledged that in an interview
I was thinking about Nate and Khamzat and it was first☠️☠️
Wasn’t it also the thumbnail? Lol
It was the thumbnail numb nuts
Liar
you were thinking of that coz it was the thumbnail dude😂
@@atomicpunk2360 no?
Why tf is that mf Izzy getting another title shot Silva was never even treated like this and he won some fights.
Yoel Romero ko’d Weidman at UFC 205, a month after Bisping/Hendo 2. Not a few days before UFC 204 was announced
Nate vs Khamzat. Made no sense. It felt like they fed him to the wolves. Good thing it turned out how it did
Oh no, the Colby fight was gifted for him so he wouldn’t press charges on his old ex roommate masvidal
These vids hit hard on my lunch break
Not Mad at Stipe Jon being so high, Jones hides under the ring when he hears Aspinall's name
Yeah it will be interesting to see how Aspinall handles Blaydes
No. He hides in the closet because he knows Aspinall is waiting outside it.
Absolutely nobody is scared of ASSpinal. The worst fighter in UFC history? Very possibly. Never seen someone fight with their chin straight up in the sky in every fight. He only wins because he's tall. If he was literally two inches shorter he would have a losing record. He's on the brink of death in every single fight he's in because he gets caught with garbage strikes. He is genuinely awful.
Tom vs Jones shoulda been UFC 300 headliner
No tom only on a two win streak
@@NOT-A-Monolithso was alex?
we all know jones dont wanna fight dudes his size or age.
Alex had 7 before getting his first title shot. Beat izzy lost move up beat yan.
Vs tom that lost verse blades .
Why take about alex when he ain't in the same div.
Plus fighting jones should be a privilege.
Dude beat everybody and when people fought jon after they all kept losing. Injured forever 5 fighters . Rampage. Vitor. Santos . Ryans. Stipe a legend got screwed by dana. Stipe deserves a last dance for the belt.@@shaneg4388
how was Jon gonna fight at 300 when he was injured...
Should waited one more day to add the mcgregor news today 😂😢
Came to the comments for this reason
Aye yoooo Tommy should do all the videos!!!
GTA 6 will be out before we finally see Jon vs Stipe💀
It was a ridiculous fight to make last year, let alone this year when there's a interim champion being avoided
Jon vs Stipe only benefits Stipe.(payday.)...SO BORING!
@@Litcross-pl1eb also benefits Jon.. payday... and it pads his record and lets him retire "undefeated".
Edit at the end was gold!
Bro that TKZ retirement was insane. Can only imagine what it was like in person because that crowd went absolutley crazy for him
That's amazing 🤯 Conor stripped of his belt at 511 days -- the exact same amount of days when Aspinall fights for his interim title defense. Jones officially has more Dana White privilege than Conor🤦♂
The ending was great. The hardest hitting 145er
Because not everyone was on the hype train for chimeav i think the ufc thought they could get him over with a huge win over an established vet
Nate called for Khamzat. He said something like "give me Chameev".
Anyways, Dana has 2 things, Money and his boys/girls (Conor, Lesnar, Jones, Ronda etc.) . Doesn't need to make sense or what so ever. If the fight sells or one of his "stars" need something, he makes them happen
I was genuinely looking forward to Chimaev vs Diaz. Nate always seems to win when everyone else has counted him out.
Should’ve waited a couple more hours and you could’ve added todays 303 original lineup cancellation
2:35 Can’t believe Tommy’s been in the business for this long and thinks Jung is pronounced “Yung”.
Luke Taylor on his usual call-outs: 😎
Luke Taylor on this call-out: 💀
Shout out to Jamal Hill, his eyes just rolled back lol
Nick vs. Vincente Luque is some bs smh
Great video
John Stipe is about to be a pirate show and Dana is going to be saying its power slap worthy
in five years people will look back at the main event of ufc 300 and ask
'who the fuck is that guy???'
I know these are only headliners but personally I think 4 out of 10 of these spots should be every time a Tony Ferguson fight got sanctioned after he got KO’d by Chandler
1:22
"swedish" HAHAAHAHHA
Khamzat gets around. Hes been from sweden, chechnya, and uae just in his ufc carrier alone. Im sure it has nothing to do with where he is actually from.
he is swedish champ even if he isnt swedish
Yeah caught my attention right there, probably that's why they said it. Imagine looking at Khamzat and thinking he is Swedish roflmao
@@user-kn6rx4ul3x average swede, german and brit is called ahmed now so i guess yeah
7:22 late stage Tyron Woodley is INSANE 😂😂😂
feel like during all the build up dana did glazing the ufc 300 main event, he just didn’t even know himself
tkz has perfect retirement. fighting another legend and going crazy before got ko and the crowd .. my god the crowd singing along his entrance song is cinema
MMA On Point comes correct!
that clip of Jon Jones teaching the "poke/left elbow" combo
I remember people liking the Yoel/Izzy fight. He was still the boogyman and (would've) done a lot to cement Izzy's place atop the mountain. If he had never fought Yoel, people would hold it against him.
I will argue that the JBJ vs Stipe ANNOUNCEMENT didn't have much problems with it, it has been what has unfolded that makes it a problem. Another point is that if there wasn't a title or a slow down of undisputed lineage, no one would have a problem at the announcement, or any time after.
Bro UFC 300 was wild like on paper it didn’t sound that good but man it lived up to
I disagree with the Aldo/Max title picture. I believe the UFC knew McGregor wasn't going to return to featherweight so they knew stripping him would make Aldo a illegitimate Champion and thus would add more hype to the unification of a legit title fight between The winner of Max's fight with Aldo.
Any fight with Conor after his Post-Cowboy layoff
41 seconds is craaazy
"not like they were on bad terms with diaz" gave him edwards and khamzat 😂😂
I would have probably mentioned the Nick Diaz vs. Vicente Luke and Tony Ferguson vs. Michael Chiesa on the same card
Bisping vs Henderson happened at 204 and Yoel KO'd Weidman at 205 so that callout was after bisping already fought Hendo again
I didn't mind the Bisping vs Henderson fight. Both were legends and earned a spotlight fight for their contribution t9 the sport
I think the Leon v Colby looks even worse in retrospect. I think the only fight that could top that is if Stipe beats Jon inside of the first round after Jon spent a year ducking the interim champ
Isn’t it funny how as soon as this drops one of the biggest stars drops out of the next main event . Big up Alex and Jiri jumping in
Ok, Dana did set the expectations too high but we knew 300 couldn't be that good, it was a great card in the end and the announcement didn't make me furious
Yea I didn’t like that Colby got that third title fight shit I didn’t think he deserved the second one
plus he just ducked ian garry
Y’all made a mistake. Bisping vs. Hendo 2 was a month before Romero vs. Weidman. It wasn’t days before the announcement..
MMA on point discovering UFC give almost finished fighther the new young stars on the event:
I was disappointed when Khamzat v Nate was off 😅 On one hand, if Khamzat ran through Nate, then that's the sport. I would have been okay w it, I mean in the Masvidal fight, part of Nate's face was hanging off.. So like.. But also, what happens if Khamzat is unable to tap Nate in 1st rd, and starts to gas and fade? Could have been a gritty, underdog performance to remember. Like w Conor. But we'll never know 😞 Just imo tho, prob most feel differently
normally the outros a joke but I bet Lukes genuinely more willing to fight tom than Jon is at this point
This channel should be called ufc on point
I guess you forgot Paulo Costa had to go through bicep surgery which is why Romero got the shot, that and also Izzy wanted it
Ferguson and Nick Díaz in the same card fighting at 40 years old and in the same weight but not fighting each other makes me mad
12:20 you got your timeline way off. How could they announce the 204 main event days after Yoel KO’s Chris at UFC 205…
I really wonder who they had in mind in the first place for ufc 300 main event.
I was the only one happy for the bisping vs hendo fight. There was something about giving this old vet one last shot on his way out as a thank you for his time served that i liked. I didnt think he would win but I liked that it happened.
It roxanne could have beat casey i was literally yelling in the comment sections to give her the "Hendo" treatment
Wait, Colby spoiled The Force Awakens and people got mad? That's fucking hilarious
Am I the only one who loved the original announcement of stipe vs jones? But now it should obviously be jones vs aspinall
imagine if the interim title holder has more defense then the champion
Probably would add whichever Khabib vs Ferguson fight announcement among the list of cursed announcements was the one that made most of the fans lose almost all hope. Or whichever one officially earned the whole spectacle a "cursed" label. Granted, it's contrary to many in this list because at least the ones in the list happened, but I'm mad that this one didn't. Instead, Khabib retired in a blaze of glory while Ferguson declined in about the worst way I've ever seen. I don't know who would have won at each stage of the booking, but damn, we deserved at least one of those fights as fans....
Hard to put TKZ vs max in this one, like u said TKZ wanted to fight max as his send off for his retirement, plus they had both been in the Featherweight division for so long and managed to not fight each other all that time so it kinda just made sense at the time even for max
Nate vs chimaev didnt piss me off. If your in the ufc, you need to be able to fight anyone. If you’re too old then retire. And if khamzat couldnt finish diaz in 2 minutes hed gas out and be useless, while diaz has a crazy gas tank.
I feel like not many people hated Pereira vs Hill
Bisping had already fought Henderson after Yoel called him out at 205… Bisping Hendo 2 was at UFC 204
Colby vs Leon was a big one for me
Simply the best!
Wait we should've had Fedor vs Godzilla like you joked at UFC 300. Godzilla has a suspect ground game and always gets taken down in his movies so Fedor might submit him
I love The Jones vs Stipe fight. I really like Stipe. I wish it could have happened a tad sooner
2:45 to be fair from what i heard they wanted to fight long before now
At the time, I felt that Bisping vs Hendo was a great idea... They had a history... It gave Hendo a chance at the belt before retirement... It gave Bisping a chance at redemption, before Hendo retired.
Actually, I still think it was a great idea.
Is anyone actually excited for the jones stipe fight? Like do you really want to see a title fight that’s going to end in a double retirement? Strip Jones, make it a legacy fight and tell both of them to take a hike
Paddy Vs Tony is the worst matchup I've ever seen honestly how is this not mentioned at all
I really want to know what the 300 main event was supposed to be.
Gane vs ngannou didn't happen in October it was the first ppv of the year
I was hype for the Jon vs Stipe fight then it got canceled and now it doesn’t really excite me. I wanna see Jon vs Tom.
Talk about Colby getting a ‘undeserved title shot ‘ for being number 3 masvidal but don’t talk about Leon beating a unranked Diaz to go on a one fight win streak and getting a title shot okay ……..
Hendo vs Bisping was on UFC 204. Romero vs Weidman was on UFC 205...
the only problem I had with UFC 300 was that Hill didn't have enough time to heal from his injury, other than that it was the perfect headliner, why would I want to watch youtubers or retired stars collecting one more paycheck like some "fans" wanted? I'm extremely glad that all the bullshit and gimmick fights Dana wanted to put in that card fell apart and instead we had "just" top level fighters against each other in every spot of the card
Totally - was a memorable night
If Hill wasn't fully recovered, he wouldn't be taking short notice fights rn. He's fighting before Pereira even has a next opponent.
why even pretend that dana and the ufc aren’t extremely petty and do everything they can to screw fighters over when they don’t want to resign to them? nate literally pissed on the PI a couple months before the fight, he was given khamzat to tank his stock and to have him mauled and hurt
11:41 Ngannou and Gane fought to unite the belt in January not October...it even says January right there. Damn, MMA on Point is slippin lol
If the ufc doesn't give a crap about the heavyweight title why should we
few years ago i would pay to see jon vs stipe... when stipe was the hw goat
#10 is what the ufc always does. Devalues you on the way out.
Bisping deserved the Henderson fight. Fuck the contenders, Bisping did so much for the sport, let him have his moment. He lost an eye to this sport, if he wanted to fight a ring girl for his first title defense, I would be okay with it. I get Henderson didn’t deserve it, but that a gift for Bisping always stepping up for the UFC and always putting on a good fight.
@9.05 hahaha😂
Say what you will, but jamal hill did kinda get screwed on that fight. But then I lost a little bit of that thinking after he didn't take the rematch. He will never have another chance
And Khamzat literally just pulled out against Robert whitaker
