- Phuket (ภูเก็ต) is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand. It consists of the island of Phuket, the country's largest island, and another 32 smaller islands off its coast.[5] It lies off the west coast of mainland Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Phuket Island is connected by the Sarasin Bridge to Phang Nga province to the north. The next nearest province is Krabi, to the east across Phang Nga Bay.

A foreigner passed by. Times I 've seen many comments like yours from Cambodians. Hope you don't mind if I ask some questions since they always wondered me. They might be a bit harsh but I really means no offense. Just my curiosity 1. At that time there were no "country' in city-states concept as it is today. Not just Cambodia, but VN, TH, MM, MY, etc. So any kingdom with strength took the land. So why whining? I've never see GB cried that the States was once theirs. FR cried about Canada. Mongol whine that half the world were under their rule. etc. Only Cambodians do. You know, it shows your inferiority complex. Something not so good at all. 2. Even some lands in their territory was once yours, it's your weakness that you cannot keep those lands. It's your own problem that make you loose those lands. So why crying? It's very childish. Immature. These are the reasons why many look down at you and your people. Stop crying for what happen. Only those who has no hope for the future would cry about their glorious days in the past. If you cant the world to respect you, act as once, because respect is for those who deserve it, not for those who demand it.
