Love it. I look back at games like Bioshock and Crysis that blew me away last gen, and they look pretty pedestrian now, and I'm happy about that. (Not knocking either of those games accomplishments for their time.)

I agree that Uncharted 4 still looks amazing and thank god they took some bits from that, (like that torch) and didn't go for new direction making poorly looked fire. Still everyone can admit that ND makes visually best looking games and has been doing from Uncharted 2.

@@fabiovaifale1179 rdr2 is very comparable to tlou2 although tlou2 is better, and rdr2 is more detailed if you count all of details and not just the visual details, also it was released in 2018 and is an open world game making it just as much as a technical achievement if not even better than tlou2.uncharted 4 was the game that looked the best for its time though, and either way both games' developers are top teir when it comes to realism.

thank you for this effort. you clearly have an eye for picking up fine details. love the score track you used. during my playthrough of UC2, TLOU RM, UC4 and now TLOU2 - I remember thinking : "I can't wait to see how ND will make use of sony's next gen. hardware because this looks great". and they never disappointed. among their other unique abilities, it's their beautiful lighting technique that always impresses me the most within their proprietary ND engine. once again.. I can only imagine what they'll do with the PS5 hardware. so excited!

TLOU2 parece que se ve mejor por el simple hecho de que tiene una gama de colores mas realista y no tan intenso, además de que tiene mas cantidad de objetos en tiempo real, sobre todo en la vegetación. Pero por lo demás, diría que son prácticamente iguales, dos auténticas maravillas, visualmente hablando.

@@davidvega8699 Es la reescalacion de la resolución que da el PS4 y el filtrado anisotropico bajo para que pueda correr el juego y lo que mas se nota es eso el Granulado de pelicula que utilizan muchos juegos para tener mejor rendimiento que se mira un poco borroso esas 3 cosas hacen que se vea asi el juego y el motion blur pero eso ya todos los juegos lo traen, nose si en consola se los puedes quitar porque soy de PC jejeje, deplano en PS5 o en PC que posiblemente salga porque SONY ya firmo contrato con Steam y Epic Games posiblemente salgan para PC, entonces en PS5 y PC se verán brutal los juegos de PS4.
I see people saying that it's awesome how U4 still holds up 4 years later, but the fact is that it was already pushing the PS4 a lot, how much better could TLOU2 have been? They're great (I have my TV on my right with TLOU2 opened as I write this), but U4 still being top notch is part explained by the PS4's limits.

The music is everything. Thank you. The interactions with the mud could be better in tlou2. You don't leave footprints in the mud on the Scar's island for example.
Its crazy how well uncharted holds up after all these years. Thats not including the insane amount of detail when it comes to physics and animations. There were animations i learned on my 3rd play through! I was given the prompt to take out a guy on a ledge that was about 4 feet higher than me and when i thought i would teleport up there or we would glitch through the floor turns out there was a specific animation for that very rare occasion that happened once to me the whole 3 full play throughs!
I'm playing through Uncharted 4 at the moment, and it is a beautiful game. The sheer amount of detail, the foliage, the lighting, and in particular the facial animations and the characters idiosyncrasies, are truly first rate. I completed Last of Us 2 about a week after release and it is also a beautiful game, though not quite to the degree of U4, in my opinion. The colours and general tone feels muted in TLOU2. I play(ed) both on ps4 pro with a good 4k monitor, and they are both a great example of the world building craft Naughty Dog are so good at.
I get you! But The Last of Us 2 actually looks better in many ways, the character details are increased, for example, and foliage is a lot more detailed. The reason why The Last of Us 2 has muted colors is because it’s difference in art direction, The Last of Us world is very dark and terrifying but also beautiful at the same time so I think they did a perfect job with the game’s art style.

Naughty dog has been such an important company for the gaming industry. Their graphics & interactions with the environment have been revolutionary and they keep getting better. They really put the bar up there for other games. I wonder what games will look like in 10years, can't even imagine
PhazeFlux How he died was exactly how most people would have died in his world. Not every main character has to die like SEAL operator while taking 26 bullets to his chest and still firing back. No matter how different they could have changed his death style, you would have still nagged about it, and you know it.
Snow sequences were done better in uc4 but for everything else the last of us 2 is definitely better,the world is so much bigger in the latter But uncharted 4 graphics were definitely ahead of it's time And haven't outdated till now too
They are pretty close, but the choice of setting and color palette gives a slight edge to Uncharted. Definitely more colorful and pleasing to an eye. Also animation in incharted looks better to me. 7:28 incredible ! It's hard to beat colorful jungle lol .

Don't forget Sam was supposed to be the villain along side Rafe for most of the game. But once they hijacked it from Amy Hennig they put Nadine in the role of the second villain.

This is a combination of a well coded graphics engine and very strong art. Also animation, even if other games provide higher resolution assets they look less inpressive in motion compared to ND games. The animations add a cinematic quality to ND games that you don't see anywhere else.
I can't even imagine what their next game will look like on PS5.

thank you for this effort. you clearly have an eye for picking up fine details. love the score track you used. during my playthrough of UC2, TLOU RM, UC4 and now TLOU2 - I remember thinking : "I can't wait to see how ND will make use of sony's next gen. hardware because this looks great". and they never disappointed. among their other unique abilities, it's their beautiful lighting technique that always impresses me the most within their proprietary ND engine. once again.. I can only imagine what they'll do with the PS5 hardware. so excited!

TLOU2 parece que se ve mejor por el simple hecho de que tiene una gama de colores mas realista y no tan intenso, además de que tiene mas cantidad de objetos en tiempo real, sobre todo en la vegetación.
Pero por lo demás, diría que son prácticamente iguales, dos auténticas maravillas, visualmente hablando.

@@davidvega8699 Es la reescalacion de la resolución que da el PS4 y el filtrado anisotropico bajo para que pueda correr el juego y lo que mas se nota es eso el Granulado de pelicula que utilizan muchos juegos para tener mejor rendimiento que se mira un poco borroso esas 3 cosas hacen que se vea asi el juego y el motion blur pero eso ya todos los juegos lo traen, nose si en consola se los puedes quitar porque soy de PC jejeje, deplano en PS5 o en PC que posiblemente salga porque SONY ya firmo contrato con Steam y Epic Games posiblemente salgan para PC, entonces en PS5 y PC se verán brutal los juegos de PS4.
I see people saying that it's awesome how U4 still holds up 4 years later, but the fact is that it was already pushing the PS4 a lot, how much better could TLOU2 have been? They're great (I have my TV on my right with TLOU2 opened as I write this), but U4 still being top notch is part explained by the PS4's limits.

The two games that made my ps4 fan sound like it was trying to reach a alternate dimension.
Its crazy how well uncharted holds up after all these years. Thats not including the insane amount of detail when it comes to physics and animations. There were animations i learned on my 3rd play through! I was given the prompt to take out a guy on a ledge that was about 4 feet higher than me and when i thought i would teleport up there or we would glitch through the floor turns out there was a specific animation for that very rare occasion that happened once to me the whole 3 full play throughs!
I hope they will release this games on Ps5 with 60fps, that would be so cool 👀

I'm playing through Uncharted 4 at the moment, and it is a beautiful game.
The sheer amount of detail, the foliage, the lighting, and in particular the facial animations and the characters idiosyncrasies, are truly first rate.
I completed Last of Us 2 about a week after release and it is also a beautiful game, though not quite to the degree of U4, in my opinion.
The colours and general tone feels muted in TLOU2.
I play(ed) both on ps4 pro with a good 4k monitor, and they are both a great example of the world building craft Naughty Dog are so good at.
I get you! But The Last of Us 2 actually looks better in many ways, the character details are increased, for example, and foliage is a lot more detailed. The reason why The Last of Us 2 has muted colors is because it’s difference in art direction, The Last of Us world is very dark and terrifying but also beautiful at the same time so I think they did a perfect job with the game’s art style.
Naughty Dog really just out there getting recordings of real life places
3D models had a level of details at the maximum of what is possible to have, the difference with futures games is gonna be with lights and shadows

They are pretty close, but the choice of setting and color palette gives a slight edge to Uncharted. Definitely more colorful and pleasing to an eye. Also animation in incharted looks better to me. 7:28 incredible ! It's hard to beat colorful jungle lol .

yeah, though it still had questionnable things like nadine being able to 1v2 nathan and sam. But yeah, it's nowhere near as bad as the last of us 2, uncharted 4 is still an amazing game in the end
Don't forget Sam was supposed to be the villain along side Rafe for most of the game. But once they hijacked it from Amy Hennig they put Nadine in the role of the second villain.

Puede ser precioso y todo lo que quieras pero el TLOU2 no era esperado por sus gráficos, sino por la historia que cargaba. Y te guste o no a la mayoría no le gustó y eso es por algo, cabe aclarar que a los que no les gustó es a los que aman la primera parte, o sea, que son fans del juego y lo conocen más que nadie.

This is a combination of a well coded graphics engine and very strong art.
Also animation, even if other games provide higher resolution assets they look less inpressive in motion compared to ND games. The animations add a cinematic quality to ND games that you don't see anywhere else.
