- This recording was the opening of a 4-hour radio-special on Coil for the legendary 'Supplement' on NPS/VPRO Radio 4 on June 18th, 2001*.
As a tribute to my musical architects, who now both have left us, I put this up here. with the text in the videoslides as well.
Coil is unwound, the musick will stay. RIP

@Shatterprone: I used software to get rid of the noisy background (a cafe in an Amsterdam zoo... ;-) so at those points you can hear children's voices mangled by a noise reduction plugin... Coil would love it!
I don't think I'd ever read that manifesto, and I know I'd never heard Jhon read it, so thanks for posting!!!!!! I like how he says "Pretentious..." at the end!

Wow. Thank you for this video. It is no coincidence that there are so many new Coil-related videos circulating (yeah!) the youTube right now...It is I guess the 20th anniversary month of 'Love's SEcret Domain" right now and I think a lot of people are feeling a reason to reflect about Coil without being totally sure of a reason why...

You’re mis-spelling of delerium (they insist it should be delirium) is something I purposefully do as well.

In the original manifesto (you can find it at brainwashed.com) you read "The cure is delirium", and then "over the edge, to the Delerium state". And knowing of Coil's link with Thelema, I consider this as a "class A document" of which "not even a letter should be altered"! 😉

Can someone please tell me what title(s) might be playing in the background, OTHER than "how to destroy angels" (IF it's mainly that one to start with)? Especially the sound from 1:25 to 1:40 and again from 1:58 to 2:03 sounds unfamiliar to me and I'd like to know which track it is.
Maybe it's how to destroy angels two off the of the remix album
