That's not what Vicka said. It was not "only a fear." She said, "At a certain moment, the Child slipped, and I simply made a movement to stop him from falling." The Child slipped! Past tense.

ON the other hand. I know many who have gone and came away empty and/or felt little change in their spritual lives and they are all mature well-informed Catholics. When I was an "apparition chaser" Nancy Fowler of Conyers, in 1998 told me that Our Lord Jesus said to her that he wish I become a priest. Well here I am now, 8 years later, married with 4 small beautiful children. I was never led or guided to the priesthood, as my orthodoxy was discarded by liberal minded voc. directors.
It was actually only a 14mm movement of the head and Vicka's expression did not change at all. So, you know there are people out there hamming things up. You gotta ask yourself why they would do that.

I was there in 2008 and heard Vicka speak at her home and they had translators but unfortunately the English translator didn't make it that day.

Bishop Ratko Peric is the Local Ordinary of Mostar-Duvno. A Bishop has authority over the members of his flock in terms of faith and morals. Medjugorje is in the geographical region of Mostar-Duvno, and so, the visionaries fall under the ecclesiastical authority of Bishop Ratko Peric. The apparitions are certainly a matter of faith, are they not? The fruit of Medjugorje is disobedience.
On July 3, 1981, the "Virgin" promises a sign.
"It will be permanent...It will not be possible to annihilate it...It will be visible for everybody."
August 27, 1981: "It will come soon."
August 29, 1981: "A little more patience."

@bocktherobber Crazy people do not have sane and loving minds like Vicka. This woman has literally changed the lives of millions for the better. People have overcome sickness/addiction/depression through the messages she reports. If she were lying she could not possibly be so clearly at peace let alone one who SPREADS PEACE... And certainly we will know whether they have been lying bc they claim a supernatural sign will appear BEFORE they die!

That statement is the SINGLE BEST thing against Medjugorje that Peric can take out of meetings and discussions. Laughter is a diffusing tactic. Peric couldn't claim "the pope said he didn't go" though he would have loved to.
Exactly, we are to discern the spirits, not make silly judgements against Medjugorje that the Vatican has never made. We should be happy that souls are converting. The Vatican is certainly happy about that. It has never said a harsh word against Medjugorje, only good things. People must be clear that it is ONLY THE LOCAL BISHOP who has something against Medjugorje.

The apparition says this...."Only I can help you. My immaculate heart will be your refuge and the Way that will lead you to God." It's quite clear that someone is lying here. Christ doesn't lie to us. The apparition is the liar. The apparition is a satanic deception. "And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

The heresy question: All individuals are accepted as equal by God regardless of their religion. This is a biblical truth. St Paul preached this to the Gentiles and warned that in fact it was the presumptuous Jews, who hid behind their religion and who called themselves sons of Abraham yet disowned Jesus as the Messiah, who were in more trouble than the gentiles. It is a given that "many are called but few are chosen" and the Virgin is not refuting this.
Maybe Our Lady didn't feel the need to correct previous mystics. And no, Our Lady said her birthday is August 5th.

Yes, remember, she was asked immediately after the apparition (i.e. no chance of collusion to come up with an answer) what might have happened to cause her to react in that way. She searched her mind for anything that happened during the apparition and concluded that people must have seen her when she feared the virgin was going to drop baby Jesus. Note, that it was only her fear. Of course the virgin didn't drop baby Jesus.

It's up to you whether you fall in line or continue to search for an escape route. I can only guess that you are somehow connected to Unity Publishing which, if the case, explains a lot. dfesdiasif,I highly doubt what you say.I met Vicka,and she knows suffering very well,because she has health problems as well.Maybe what you say is true or you were confused.I can't say you are lying,only you know that answer,but I am certain that if it was Vicka, there is a reason for her actions.She had a brain tumor,and this could have caused her not to react or comprehend to the situation.Did you get help,and if so,maybe Vicka was the person that called for help and was having an apparition.

"Don't go, don't believe," usually applies to absolutely condemned apparitions, such as Bayside. Medjugorje is not yet another Bayside, but it, too, is on the path to destruction. Stacks33: What if Medjugorje is condemned by the Pope? Will you lose faith or will you obey?

And, the vatican didn't listen to the Bishop of Mostar! The Bishop demands that people stop going to Medjugorje. The Vatican freely allows people to go there and has even pronounced that all pilgrims are to receive pastoral support - receipt of sacraments etc, while they are there.

The children are not the problem. They were warts and all kids. Remember, Zanic had possession of complete diaries and tapes and the best dirt he could come up with from many months of digging was that two of the girls were heading out for a cigarette on the day they encountered Our Lady. I can see who is talking through you when you are talking from lies and pseudo definitions. Medjugorje has brought many people to extraordinary faith and charity. If you are discouraging people from this way of coming back to God, it is obvious whom you are representing.
Stacks33, your comments ring eerily of Protestantism. Protestants don't recognize the authority of a heirarchal Church. They believe the Holy Spirit guides each of them, individually, and therefore, they have no need of bishops or Popes. Your uncharitable comments towards a Bishop in good standing, Bishop Peric, are an example of the real fruits of Medjugorje. He IS the authority in this matter. I believe him far over and above the seers, for he is a successor to the Apostles.
Read about the approved apparitions in Kibeho, Rwanda and you will see how false the Medjugorje ones are. It does not even compare. Two of three approved visionaries of Kibeho are still living and they live with humility, not mansions and BMWs.

Why would he? Jesus Himself was accused of healing in the name of the devil. He categorically replied that no house can stand divided. If you are one of those who believes satan can be 99% good in order to slip in 1% bad, then most of us are going straight to hell. What about the simple folk who don't have the intellect to differentiate? I credit God for more mercy than that.

The Congregation of Cardinal Ratzinger found that the complaint was justified and in April 1985 withdrew Bishop Zanic´s powers to make further decisions on the events and asked him to pass over the documentation, which was realized in Vatican on 15. 5. 1985.
You have really been taken for a ride. You are obviously not aware of the lengths certain people have gone to to make an Indiana Jones thriller out of Mejdugorje and we can guess who's dirty hand is in there. The Fransicans are still as poor as ever. The money is being made by the souvenir-sellers endorsed by the Yugloslavian government. The govt is getting rich. The visionaries' houses are the size of the average American house and half of their homes are used to house pilgrims!
