Yes they do but since I was going to have to take the old one off anyway to replace just the hydraulic fuel pump I decided just to replace it with a complete brand new fuel pump and new fuel lines.
It is possible to replace the hydrolic head without removing the pump but it’s so much easier with it removed. Also to note from experience there’s little cup that sets inside a groove on the bottom of the hydrolic head, make sure if you remove or it comes out with the head since magnitised that it goes back exactly in the groove, I had missed the groove not knowing but it set all the way down due to the notches on the side, after I drove it 70 miles working great then let it idle I realized i messed something up hearing horrible grinding sound comming from the pump. After that I had to replace the entire pump as it had tore it up.
Any codes or check engine light on ? Also bad turbo or turbo leak broken can cause loss of power check your clamps on your inter cooler tube and turbo.
Your video was very informative, and educational. Thank you.
👍🏻 Great ingenuity on getting the pump separated.
Great information. Really good
Great information thank you
Great video
Great job 👏
Why didn’t you replace the pump heads instead? Tamerx has those too

Why or what caused the hairline crack in the pump head?
@@michaelchoi9205They’re just made from cast metal. Very brittle. They should be made from billet honestly..
So the numbers on the gear don't mean anything? This pump does not have to be timed to engine?
Correct on a maxxforce 13 no timing is needed
How did you make it bubble?
I added a little fuel and pump it by hand to find the leak
If I have a bad high pressure fuel pump will that allow me to loose power?
Yes .

210 lbs on that jam nut. No air gun
How many hours did it took you to remove and install?
Took around 4 hours. taking my time to make sure everything was correct.
@@truckscoffee5188 thanks i was wondering cus mechanic wants to charge me 10 hours
@@midnight873It’s probably his first time doing it, so it can take long time.. Once you know what you’re doing you can get it done rather quickly..
Taiming
No timing needed
