@@ByteSizeCruises we did a sailing on the EotS back in April. Granted, most of my gripes are with RC itself, but it was like being trapped in a floating middle school. There really wasn’t much to do - there were a few things, but there were multi-hour stretches where they did nothing but play music in different venues. There was a recurring problem where the promenade on the port side smelled like human waste, and there was someone on a different deck than us who could smell it in their corridor. We ran into someone who had sailed on EotS in Feb 2023 who said that the exact same thing happened on the promenade on that sailing. Honestly, I could go on for hours about everything that went wrong on the 12-day cruise… RC was a one and done for us.
@@NanaVonn3 I think this is why you have to do a ton of research before booking a cruise. This is a 20 year old ship and a small one with no bells and whistles to speak of. All of your feedback is valid. I would never have done a 12 day cruise on that ship. There are amazing Royal ships. I wouldn’t not cruise on Royal again. I think you would find these issues with any of the small old ships.
@@ByteSizeCruises We thought that we had. All of the reviews that we saw seemed really good, and we had no problem sailing on an older ship - tho it did definitely look the worse for wear. We were fine without the bells and whistles. We managed to keep ourselves entertained. There were MANY other reasons why we wouldn't sail RC again - we experienced the new menu and the food was awful (both in the main dining room and the buffet), we were practically browbeaten by one of the main dining room managers when we told them we weren't impressed with the service (and he threatened to punish our server if we didn't give them a 10/10), my husband hit his head on the pointy tip of a screw that was sticking through the wall above the toilet, there was 0 consistency on policy throughout the ship (we were told to fill up water bottles one way in the buffet, and then almost kicked out of the solarium when we did the same there). That's not even all of it, but I'll end that part of the rant. I know that no one is perfect, and I know that there was an incredible confluence of circumstances that was going to make that cruise miserable (12 foot swells off the coast of VA), and i know that some of those things are beyond RC's control. One of the reasons that we picked EotS was because we wanted a slower pace than some of the other ships. Apparently, they took that to extremes and it was the speed of continental drift. We definitely won't go back until we hear they've changed the menu.

Just returned from this cruise and I have to admit it was bad. Really bad. This ship is OLD. It looks OLD, it feels OLD, smells OLD, because it is VERY VERY VERY OLD. It’s like staying at motel 6. Do not recommend this ship to anyone.
Why not give DETAILS instead of spamming the same comment on ALL THESE VIDEOS!??!?
