This was a great podcast. I really enjoyed listening to it. The section on service really hit home for me. As a former first responder I really appreciated the credit you guys gave to those that choose to serve their communities. We all carry scars from our service regardless of the uniform we wore. Thank you for your service.
What Jeremy did for his friend wasn't mercy but rather gifting his tortured friend the DIGNITY he deserved.
Great guest with a truly AMAZING story. Sadly, his original "fate" seems all too common among the returning warriors but his ability to pull himself up out of his Depth is beyond inspiring.

Beautifully said, Seth! I couldn’t agree with you more. He showed his friend true mercy, but had to live with that decision. Can be a very hard situation to overcome
I am a 22 year old Sgt in the Marines and have travelled all around Asia. Currently about to transition out to the blue collar community till I finish all my paperwork to go to DPS Trooper Academy in Texas. I can honestly say this podcast with Jeremy talking about getting out, writing out daily goals, it’s definitely a struggle because nothing is ever promised getting out. All there is to do is trust God. Thank you for this podcast. I needed this to boost my hope some more.
This is the second day listening to this, let me wrap up everything I want to say as succulently as possible. I am both a First Responder and a specialist in recovery (still growing up btw) I want to say that what you did for your friend was 100% the right decision I don't care what anyone else says. Also working in addiction and being in recovery myself I believe in the plant based therapy it's proven at this point and I am so glad about your upcoming dissertation I hope I get a chance to read it. Last part is that as a fellow disciple of Christ I am so moved in my heart, the true rescue Dog... this happened to someone very close to me. I have wondered at night if it was the spirit that filled pup to break down the extension cord that would have killed him... and now my doubt is gone. P.S. If you are a veteran you deserve to be taken care of by your community and your country and we must help those who would otherwise fall through the cracks. Sometimes I have to put my selfish desires aside to do the right thing and rather than just a good word I believe in taking better actions, I would encourage everyone if they need a hand or a home or a meal everything matters and counts. Thank you guys again this is obviously where I am supposed to be right now and what I was supposed to be listening too.

I’ll reinforce that. Senior enlisted special forces (Ranger+) I’d hire any time they had even close to the skills I was hiring for. And several times they didn’t, and they always worked out. I can train a skill, but I never learned to train attitude or the willingness to sacrifice.
P.S. it was a (now passed) Vietnam PJ that helped pull me out of PTSD when I hadn’t been prepared for it.
I am so empathetic to our service members who find themselves homeless and alone. I get the loss of tribe, family, and mental health issues, but don’t get how our country is not wise the commonality of these issues facing veterans. God bless our veterans.

It is my heart wrenching job to report that another Vietnam war PJ has reported for duty with our Lord Jesus Christ. Sgt E-6 H. P. (Quill) Quillian passed away Tuesday Aug 6 after a long battle with cancer. He fought off five cancers (including three stage four) over the past twelve years but his lungs were so damaged in the end that nothing more could be done. He was a typical PJ who fought to the very end then insisted on signing his own DNR so no one in the family would have to bear that burden. He was the very first member of the Air Force to attend the Green Beret Recondo school and the last NCOIC for Pararescue in Vietnam. He was awarded numerous awards and medals for valor including the DFC and multiple Air Medals among others. Hero’s don’t wear capes, they wear combat boots and dog tags. I miss you terribly already Dad. May you rest in peace.

Can anyone chime in and tell my why a group of maroon beret men would have a temporary setup of computers inside of a residential neighborhood home then vanish days later?
Someone in the home wiped my phone in broad daylight of every text message they ever sent me.
They were in a maroon beret uniform…so why do they get to do cool stuff and civilians can't have fun to.
