- A Closer Look at Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder.
One of the most highly anticipated fights, not just in the heavyweight dvision, but in the entire sport.
Can Anthony Joshua's newly adapted 'think first' style keep him out of trouble for 36 minutes? Or will Wilder find an opening for that right hand - and turn AJ into just another victim.
As always.. We wait in hope, that two of boxings true titans will finally collide.

You did a wonderful job of highlighting and honouring the heavyweights at the top of the division and their story until now. At least they were fighting each other back then. But now it just seems to be a stagnant pool of greed, strategic avoidance and empty promises. I don’t understand why AJ is still going because unless he fights Wilder or Fury there’s no point to him fighting lesser ranked fighters. And nobody thinks he can beat Wilder, let alone the fact it wouldn’t be for a belt. Fury has gone awol either defending his title or competing for Usyk’s. Usyk has to fight mandatory challenger’s unless he gets a super fight with Fury (he’ll never fight Wilder imo). But Usyk desperately wants to unify the division for his legacy. It’s a mess and losing fans in droves because they are all behaving like pu*sies. But I applaud your work and effort to honour the heavyweights because historically this has always been the most exciting division. Oh how I wish the old greats could come back and teach these four boxers what it means to be a true champ.
What is the last song you guys used? The "nothings gonna bring me down" one
It's: Bring Me Down - Josh Moreland
I can't seem to find it on CZcams yet, but should be up on here eventually!
@@MotivediaXtra thank you guys! And thank you for this great video! It gave me goosebumps in the end. You guys making really special content! 👌🏽
Insanely good video…shame the fight won’t happen anytime soon
Bro this was the best thing I seen on CZcams in a While it’s just like a movie 🍿
No matter what the outcome is, people should give credit due to both fighters. Deontay Wilder is the first and only American Heavyweight in more than 7 years while Anthony Joshua is a former unified champion, twice.
Both duck usyk and tank Davis. Duckers
@@STANKORachevbro what, Joshua fought Usyk twice, tank Davis is literally a lightweight, honestly no clue wtf ur talking about
Lol it not happening and it has not happen since 2016 you casual on boxrec
@@heisenberg6142 he was mandatory. thats why it happened cuz Aj could get 80% in the first match.
Aj & wilder are both racists…
To this day, to this day……
I love both fighters. I'm a fan. I think Wilder understands his own skills and limitations better than AJ understood his. Before Usyk, AJ thought his boxing IQ was superior. Olympic gold medalist and out classing less experienced opponents and a few old Olympians in Klitchko and Povetkin. The Usyk loss showed him that his boxing IQ is not superior. Infact Usyk was so far advanced in IQ it negated AJ's power. He has been trying to work on his boxing IQ ever since and that is why he now was this defensive mid to long range fencing style as opposed to the mid range power punching in his earlier fights. Wilder always knew his IQ and technique were not superior.. he relied on his power and his chin.. Through multiple losses to Fury he has proved he has the chin and of course the power. I think Wilder is more confident in his identity in the ring. AJ is trying to determine if he is a boxer or a puncher and what he is really good at.. thats why the confidence is missing.
All true.
Objection!! Kidding amazing analysis lol 🎉
Wilder doesn't know his limitations, all the excuses after his losses to Fury proved that
@@Billy.Nomates The excuses after losing to Fury proves he is a bad loser. Wilder knows his boxing limitations, which is why he always praises his Right hand and no other boxing attributes.
@@samr2332 it proves he's deluded, bad loser doesn't cover it. He obviously has no self awareness, thus, not knowing his limitations

Man boxing has got to get over this obsession with the zero losses.. needs to take a leaf from MMA. Just because someone lost to a guy, doesn’t mean he can’t beat him on another day
You're absolutely correct 👍
And that's exactly the reason why MMA and the UFC are slowly but surely taking over as the world's biggest combat sport.
Especially the heavyweight division, the fights that peoplereally want to see either take far too long to get made, usually when it's too late and nobody cares anymore....or.....they just don't happen at all
Stylistically this will be an easy work for Wilder, unless AJ and his team come up with a different fighting style/game plan.
Hell no.
@@ItIsYouAreNotYour Well, I'm just saying AJ is slow and doesn't possess excellent defense, likes to stay in mid range and doesn't have enough pressure with very limited gas tank. If Wilder was able to catch Ortiz & Fury then he'll for sure catch AJ.
@@yoki3 Those are pretty good points. I just don't think Wilder is a good boxer and AJ is very technical. But it just takes 1 with Wilder and he's a lot tougher than I originally thought. I don't think it would be easy at all though.
@@yoki3once AJ starts ripping at that body deontay is going timber. Trust me there was a reason why deontay ducked for cover time and time again.
@@user-so1yi2tm2rbehave mate. for one, when AJ was good he wasn’t a big body puncher. For second, he ain’t been anything for about 4 years.. he’s a bum now, he try’s to box but can’t.
Deontay fucks him up
Boxing needs this fight. The fans want this fight. Make it happen
The Heavyweight eras really does come with 3 top dogs:
70s - Ali, Frazier, Foreman
90s/00s - Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis
2020s - Fury, Wilder Joshua
Wilder vs Joshua is like this eras Lewis vs Tyson
I'd say it's more like Tyson Lewis, not from their ages, but from styles. Mike while actually a very skilled boxer was very much reliant in his peekaboo style. And one he fought opponents who could keep him off with a jab he stopped winning. Wilder has relied on his one punch power to keep him going, and when he faced an opponent who isn't easily knocked out.. it was over. I would say Lewis was much more skilled than AJ but they both started as close fighters who had power and then moved to a more outside style. And both suffered serious losses early in their careers that changed how they fought.
It's 4 in 2020s with usyk.
More like Usyk and then Joshua and Fury. Wilder is a vainglorious hype job who has never beaten a top 10 heavyweight.
Bro….WOW!!!! I think any boxing fan will agree that this video and the quality in the production, content and above all ‘ Keeping us on the edge of our seats’ is simply the best out here by far. Thank you so much for putting this together… 😮pure entertainment!
🙏👊
This is what Motivedia is all about!
A very, very easy win for Wilder, if Eddie Hearn ever let's AJ anywhere near him.
They said that about Fury
I feel the same, Joshua needs a mental shift to have a chance.
Silly take.
@@Billy.Nomates Fury can actually box though, AJ can't
@Lee-ye3ev of course he can,he's a boxer and he's won titles but I agree that Fury is levels above A.J
Amazing video. Thanks for the hard work and for posting.
Man. I watched a 50 minute CZcams video and it was good! Keep it up. That was 🔥
😂 thank you 👊
I don’t understand the “AJ has no legacy” thing if any of these heavyweights of today has any legacy it’ll be him he’s fought the best out of all those guys.
"Cuz I'm about to put this HAITIAN ON PERMANENT VACATION!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Man that shit had me rolling. Wilder too funny bruh
Anthony Joshua: "Is Deontay 40 yet"
Wilder admitted ducking Aj to fight fury for less money…
Good question . Joshua's camp will play the waiting game
Hope you make more videos like this in the future, really grate video!
I'm here after Parker beat Wilder & Joshua stopped Wallin. Wilder looked appalling & Joshua looked fantastic. Will they ever actually fight? If I'm Wilder I ain't getting in a ring with AJ unless I have a couple of tune up fights. In all honesty we have to see if Wilder is still up for the fight, that's any fight because he looked done & dusted against Joseph Parker, he looked ready to retire.
U need to post this on ur main page this was like a movie
Good to see this channel back, videos are always top notch.

An absolute banger of a video, Motivedia.. By far the finest boxing content being produced by ANYONE. Consistently so.

Joshua's guard gives him an edge over Wilder's. Deontay holds his hands and leans in a way that makes it easy for Joshua to catch him. Joshua also moves better.

Fantastic video!! Literally like watching a movie!
This is insane!! Hope we get to see it soon
Came back to this after yesterday's results.. After the loss to Parker, I don't think Wilder can beat AJ
Great effort…you deserve big views😄👍
This was brilliant, got me hyped up for a fight that isn't even taking place. I got to say that watching it, made me slightly lean away from an AJ win to a Wilder win.
Only 1 thing missed out on the video and that is the Ruiz get back, but the video was too good to be too picky. Well done!!
u really got wilder over aj?
This is the best video that I have seen about today’s HW division.
yeah, after the performance last night, even IF the fight happened (it won’t anymore honestly) AJ would have absolutely ripped Wilder to shreds based on what we saw. Wilder doesn’t have the hunger anymore.
Looking back at how this has already dragged on for nearly 7 years,, I firmly believe the fight will actually happen in 2025.. beating formerly dangerous fighters once they're in their 40s is joshuas speciality!
Lennox started with rematch clause bs and beating washed up legends i mean look at AJ he wears even the same whate in ring attire
@@SychoSam oh o.k. mate.. now that you've printed out to me that joshua happens to wear white trunks,, my viewpoints done a complete 180'.... cheers for that🤣🤣🤣
@@bombercountyblues i meant the boots. When you order Lewis from Wish you get AJ. How's that?
And who did Wilder ever beat of quality... Absolutely no one. His career is defined by absolute bums
@alles-ist-langweilig how can you even begin to compare Lewis to A.J?
AJ showed he was a fighter in fights leading to Klitschko fight, and in Klitschko fight he showed immense heart he took a real beating from Klitschko and don't know how he got up from that right hand in the 6th.
Since Klitschko fight however he hasn't been the same he made it known he didn't want to go back to that place he went with Klitschko and fought with less aggression and confidence against likes of Takam,Parker and Povetkin but we all thought if he had to go to where he went with Klitschko he would, in Ruiz fight we found out he couldn't he had the fight beat out of him in that fight and quit.
Since Ruiz he has regressed again significantly further he is a shadow of what he was, I don't believe he can find that fire again, the Wilder fight should of happened in 17/18 AJ had more to bring to that fight then, I think AJ will avoid the Wilder fight I don't believe it will happen, I would like to see AJ retire now to be honest.
Wilder lost to Fury and took an immense beating twice but he has showed he is not affected he is still every bit the fighter and killer he has always been. He would inhaliate AJ now.
Wilder lands a right hand it will feel like AJ was hit by both Klitschko's at the same time!
@@2stroketyson79 Lol, very true.
AJ will fight him when hea ready to retire and wants a final big payday
Wilder WAS affected by the Fury defeats, he's only fought Helenius, which looked like it was set up for him. He even dodged the Ruiz fight! If they ever do fight, Joshua
needs to just go for it from the opening bell, like Hagler v Hearns, kill or be killed!
Klitorisko threw that fight 😂
You’re the best at this, can you do a Canelo vs Charlo a closer look
He usually releases it the week of or the day before the fight

I’m hoping Aj does the business I like the guy while others seem to have turned against him
Id still watch it, but honestly, I was way more excited about it when Undefeated and Undisputed was on the line. Id still pay money to watch it though.
Of course i would pay aswell. But i always knew neither of them was the best either way. So for me its still exiting but for casuals i understand the feeling.

Amazing video, great potential story. All 4 of them are great and some have beaten each other however I can see Fury drifting away, AJ not fighting Wilder, maybe Usyk and Wilder will fight but that will be it. What are they now? Two are 37 and two are 34?
AJ want wilder real bad mark my words,it’s a known fact AJ has tried getting wilder in the ring for the past few years so to make out AJ don’t want it is just ludicrous
@@tonylyons9772 I think he wants it to but the problem is Management, Money and Time and once again today I hear it won't happen, these two are 34 and 37 years old? Time is ticking and I just don't see it happening, it would be an amazing fight though and I remember an IFL video where he said he would look to knock him out early. I believed him back then, now though it's true that if he does NOT use his power and risk going for the KO, Wilder will get him and I'm an AJ fan from London.
Loved the video can't wait for more!

This has got to be next fight between these fine gentlemen.
In a perfect world
If they never lost their titles, a fight between these two for undisputed would have been one of the biggest fight out there

I fancy Joshua for this one if he's sticks behind the jab and works with precision.
My friend your work is cinema and television standard and i mean at the top end😊😊
Awesome fights bring more soon we waiting ❤💪👍👏
Here we go love the videos, but once again this Fury coming off a layoff to fight Wilder lie is repeated. Fury fought twice before the title fight, please stop it your content is to great for these mistakes.
2018...5 years ago. Smh. Wilder was 32 years old back then in 2018 and wanted to unify against the unified champion holding 3 belts in Anthony Joshua. It never happened but 5 years later AJ has no belts taking warm ups against lesser competition still saying he's learning his craft and needs 2 or 3 more fights before he is ready for Wilder? Huh? In 2023 AJ is still not ready for Wilder?? 5 years ago in 2018 AJ was trolling Wilder thinking he held all the cards actually thinking he could freeze Wilder out. $50 million was asked for by AJ and given to him by Wilder but AJ didn't fight him. AJ said his career won't be rushed and if his coaches say he should not fight Wilder now that he's not ready then AJ wont fight him now. Joshua said if it takes until 2019 or 2020 or 2021 until he is ready to fight Wilder then so be it and that is how long it is going to take. We'll never mind AJ saying back in 2018 it may be 3 years but now today....5 years later in 2023...AJ is saying he needs 2 or 3 more fights before he's ready for Wilder!! Smh. I have never seen a fighter run from another fighter like AJ has run away from Wilder. Talk about trying to age another fighter out in hopes of giving you the best chance to defeat him. Wilder is now 37 years old but even at 40 years old Wilder would still beat Anthony Joshua.
I’ve been saying since 2015 that these two should fight… should’ve made this years ago when both were undef
Bro u ain’t special this has been one of the biggest fights in boxing for more than half a decade
@@heisenberg6142 Did I say that makes me special? Lol the point is the fight should’ve been made years ago when both were undef but I guess you missed that…
Motivedia in flow state. It's a masterpiece. Thanks.
As for the fight, Wilder is a much improved boxer with a one in a million punch. He also proved he has a lot of heart; he went out on his shield in the 2nd Fury fight and got back in and toughed it out in the 3rd. He didn't have what it took to beat Fury, but I reckon he has more than enought for Joshua. AJ is good but he's not on the level of the top guys. To be honest, I've never been fully sure he ever was. Yes, he's a much better boxer than Wilder but between Ruiz Jnr and Usyk - he's a different man. A spent force. If it happens, it's a great fight and I would be happy with either man as a victor but, at the end of the day with all things considered, I think it's Wilder's to lose. Can't wait.
1 trick pony wilder will be forgotten by the history books 0 good wins on his resume v 0 HOF boxers, pure tomato cans.
So if AJ is this top shot in the history books because you fans think he has fought the best, so if Wilder beats aj does that mean wilder is top shot in the history books?@@shotgunshawzy
Like fury says he is the lineal champ even then the best dont fight the best never have done fo r a long time, cant do solid 8 round anymore, modern heavyweight its emabarrising, nevermind 15 like they used 1 FIGHT a year, aye these boys are elite boxers eh? these boys could not last with any top 10 boxer in the 90's nevermind the HOF ALL time greats, lets get real.

You mean you wrote all these letters just to talk shit?
Come man tells us where and when and how did Wilder improved.
Since the Ruiz fight lost AJ has improved in every aspect.
Defense, footwork, stamina, backfoot and front foot, fighting in the inside.
AJ is working on a specific thing that he believes will make him invicible.
Just like Wladimir Klitshko, floyd Mayweather and Lennox Lewis.
Wilder hasn't fought since nearly a year against an opponent who threw himself on him.
He can't rely on that one punch, American had big puncher but they had styles, Tyson, Bowe, Ruddock, Foreman, Larry Holmes.
This Wilder is shit!!
Quick and simple Deontay wilder wins by KO 😂 After deontays last performance AJ will KO him 💀
We’ll see
I think so too, but it will be a great fight whilst it lasts
Before Helenius? I said the same 100%. Now I just think that is likely but not certain.
If Joshua has another fight before then and grows in confidence it becomes closer to 50-50.
If Joshua has time to get a couple fights in and manages to get his head right - my money’s on the Brit.
100% sure thing
Depends on AJ, but it does seem likely.
What's the song in the beginning background
love this closer look it is like the fight it self hope it happends
This fight is never going to happen, they should have done it for the undisputed years ago.
Now, AJ is shot and Wilder has been dominated twice. And neither has a belt.
Joshua v wilder and fury v Usyk..These are the only fights in heavyweight boxing I want to see in 2024..this was an excellent documentary I thoroughly enjoyed it..
Ruiz cracked AJ's soul! Usyk shattered it!
Did Fury snatch Wilder's soul? We don't know! What we do know is, If anyone has the ability to retain his self belief and confidence, it's Wilder!
Motivmedia We need Canelo Vs Charlo video

What a video again❤
After seeing Wilder's performance vs Fury I dont think they are the same caliber with Joshua right now.
Joshua will take Wilder into retirement with a 3rd loss
Great video
Heavyweight boxing was exciting again for 4 or 5 years with Wilder and AJ knocking people out..... then comes Usyk and Fury, they tie up the belts and fight nobody. We're back to the Klitschko era again
Usyk and Fury can box though, AJ and Wilder are just big punchers who can't box to save their lives
Been waiting for this awhile now.
Let's go. We all know Wilder will knock out anyone if he lands his "right hand" Furys the only one who wasn't ko'ed & those were controversial. Thing is casuals will overlook the knock out power AJ has. And AJ as always dropped every opponent who dropped him first. Deontay has a lot of heart & will I get it. However Wilders chin resistance is overrated. AJ can knock him out if he doesn't overthink & goes at Wilder in a calculated way
💯💯💯💯💯💯
The problem with aj is not the chin, but his recovery time. He took big shots by ruiz, klitsckho and got up , so he has definitely a chin . The problem that with klitsckho he took like 4 rounds to recover , with ruiz he didn't. He was dominating both fights but after the knockdown he completely changed. I don't know if it's a phisical or a mental issue , but you can't take half of the fight to recover just from a knockdown.
But you also have to factor in the area that Ruiz Jr hit Joshua in was not the same one where Klitschko hit him. Not to mention Klitschko is not as quick Ruiz Jr. So it would be wrong to compare the two.
@@Eddybo22 Infact i'm not making a difference , i stated that in both cases he took too much time to recover.
@@davidenovelli2327 anyone who tells you they recover quickly from a punch is a lie. No one who gets hit proper from a well placed punch recovers instantly. It takes time to recover. Even if it seems like they have recovered from it, it would still take at least two rounds to recover.
This aged well the old AJ is back!!! & Wilder has another loss on his record to Joseph Parker! Good video tho.👍
