There is a 6 speed 320 too.
What about the SLK 320 six speed? Mine does low 6's.
What? 230K with 197 hp faster than the V6 with 218 hp? That 230K is tuned! It certainly has Modification ECU re map and the large Pulley with the longer belt. I have a Stock 230K automatic from 2002 and it takes exactly 7.3 sek from 0 to 100.
Check your engine maybe, mine's full stock 1999 automatic low miles and does very low 6's on 17" amg wheels, also start both feet on pedals and give a little rev before releasing the brakes.
Mine is freshly serviced new oil, new filters ( k&n ) and new spark plugs and coils also NGK. Also my mass flow meter is new ( OEM Mercedes ). My car goes top end till 260 km/h, which honestly is just over 240 gps. And mine just got 70.000 miles on the clock. I will try the method of pressing both pedals and reving it against the Wandler. Maybe I can achive a 6.8 or 6.9 sek to 100. mine is a 2002 automatic with 17 inch AMG as well.

As I know, R170 doesn't have 55 AMG version
