Creating an FSA ID

The FAFSA is the single most important application a family can file to be considered for financial aid, and in order to submit it, you'll need to create an FSA ID. My parent doesn't have a SSN. I already made mine but when I try to do my parents, it tell me to enter a SSN when I put in the address. We have the same address but she doesn't have a SSN? What should I do?

Now that the 2024-25 FAFSA is available, there is an option for parents without an SSN to get an FSA ID. The FAFSA is in a soft launch period, so there will be several periods of downtime in the next few weeks - don't be discouraged if you can't log in, just keep trying.
