Hi Shiva, I just received the SEXY Knob haven’t installed yet, but I noticed that the knob feels kind of loose.. it’s that normal?
Great review! I want to add that the ability to turn off regen isn't necessarily only for people that do not like regen, but it is a very good option to have in states that get snow. Regen on snowy roads will often lock the brakes causing a slide until it figures itself back out, when it would just be nicer to let off the throttle and coast to get past the slippery spots.
That is a really good point and it works instantly on this device. I was able to toggle it while driving and I could feel the different right away. Thank you.
Would it cause any issues with Tesla warranty?

Does anyone know when the knob would get more functions? It really is limited. Most of the functions they offer now are not that hard to access. I would like to see recirculation available.

How is it possible to change many other features while in the main screen you cant? I am talking about regen and manual preheat of battery pack?
That is really great. I can stop the regenerative break and start the sailing mode. I can also take a look at the battery. Ordered one Knop. For the second one I have to buy a Tesla for my wife.

Just arrived yesterday after 1 1/2 month wait. I was not happy!
Installed today in minutes and started feeling a lot better.
Nice packaging and super easy install made me very upbeat. My car had the blue plug in back.....nice.
Expensive but nobody was twisting my arm to buy it!
Shiva, thanks a million for this review and for the small discussion we had on the preview announcement page. Your review is the best one I've seen, really more informative than the short demo videos put out by the S3XY guys.
Also I want to say that I have a 2021 Intel model Y, and I did the installation in the passenger footwell area instead of the rear console area. The needed blue connector is there but it's buried back several inches next to the side kick panel. It's open and ready to be connected, then you have to insert the smaller connectors in between the white power connectors that are right there on the metal column.
Thank you so much for the tip. If someone runs into that same issue, this will be very helpful. Also, I talked to Enhance and they said they actually figured it out how to display the temperature control on the main Tesla screen. They hope to push that update in March.

Been waiting on this product for a while - solely for the drive mode wheel option. My other vehicle is a 2015 Chrysler 300 and the gear shift is controlled by a knob in the center console. I love it and when I got the MY, it felt funny going back up to the stock arm like in my old model Expedition. Having the gear shift back to a knob sold me on this unit and will be purchasing asap. I appreciated the video review, Shiva. I installed mine today and it is worth noting that a lot of what the S3XY buttons can do cannot be done with the knob. That's kind of a shame, as they marketed it to suggest otherwise. Useful feature to add: The ability to turn the a/c fan on/off. I'm hoping they continue to add more of the S3XY button features to the knob, as you'd figure the commander unit would make that very possible.

You guys made the best Tesla accessory ever! That is a big statement coming from me as I have literally reviewed over 250 accessories for Tesla. Great job on this product and I cannot wait to see what software updates you will push to make it even better. Please incorporate the rear seat heating, unlatch doors, seat recline etc as I mentioned in my video. Also, please monitor this comment section for other feedback from my viewers. All climate controls will be reflected on the main screen with our April update.
The rear seat heating, off road mode, drift mode and heated steering wheel will be added to the knob with the March update.
Open any of the 4 doors will be added with the March or the April update.
A lot more cool stuff will come with the April update, but we have to keep it secret for now 🙂

I have a 2024 Highland model 3, can the bluetooth command device be connect at the rear? Can the device be use as left/right indicators by pressing the top left and right button instead of using the steering wheel?

Great video and solid guide. I'll be seriously considering this one whenever I finally manage to get my hands on a used Tesla. I'm thinking I can probably manage a 2021+ M3LR with the current prices...just a matter of saving up that down payment. I have a feeling the wiper control and preconditioning the batteries alone is well worth getting it. I've also been thinking I want an instrument cluster in front of the wheel so this could double for that (though Tsportline has a really cool one with Android Auto and such).
Been using mine in Sydney for several weeks. Best must have. I keep fan speed and wiper speed in same upper position on all three screens as these are most used. I would love the ability to drop front windows when unlocking driver door.

For prospective buyers, know that I'll also vote Shiva's review as the best, most-thorough review I've ever seen of any product - super-clear from beginning (with installation) through review of the Knob as well as the Commander (he clearly explains that difference) - you get both with the Knob package. Quick question- Does the knob retain settings between drives or does the car reset to factory defaults when powered down?
I've had the knob for about a week now. Works great most of the time. The things that don't, enhance says they will be updating in the next few months. However it's impossible to find the buttons in the dark without looking down. They are too smooth, and blend in with the rest of the dash. They need to make the buttons more tactile, or put a light on each button. Even looking at the device at night, it's hard to locate the buttons. Not great while driving.

It does not have any rating so it fail if you spill too much coffy
On the ODB commander location, is that an 'OR' situation or INSTEAD. Meaning do you either have one or the other or you have your choice betwen both locations. Like if I have the blue connection in back then I dont have the connection in the passenger front?
Can you use it if you have a USB charging hub in the sliding door slot?

Great video. I bought the S3XY buttons after your videos. They are great and daisy chained with another product that you’ve recommended. This product is great but would involve me looking off the road too much. Great product if you’re happy to stop all the time or have a passenger to change the setting whilst on the move. Great video

I helped a friend install a button system and the rear cover plate did not go back on completely. It would be nice to show a detailed result of getting that rear cable harness cover back on cleanly.

One unavoidable issue is I have a console wrap I really like. I dunno if I can manage to cut a piece of vinyle to match the knob and have it blend in with my wrap that is already there. Maybe...

Very nice but as a passenger, I would like easy access to the Voice Control button as I use that a lot.
Regarding features, CarWash Mode or Shutdown would be nice. Enhance should build a HUD that works off the Commander. There WiiYii based models out there like the T3 which uses the same ODB connection, it would be nice to have a Bluetooth connected unit that gets data off of the Commander to minimize wires.
The only accessory that reallmakes it more easy to use a Tesla. Updates and new features ate comming approximately every 4 weeks. Now i don't need the buttons anymore

It's unfortunate that the knob won't allow the car to move into neutral. THis would be awesome as the stock is easy to move into D and P an R but neutral can be a bit more finnicky especially if in a hurry like at a car wash. Can you program it to get it to neutral (N)?
It is most probably impossible to get passenger seat control by OTA update, cause in all the products you have to connect wires to seat control buttons. But could be possible replacing wires and adding software support.

This looks cleaner that the S3XY buttons. There are a few options I would swap since they can be controlled from the steering wheel. I noticed in Autopilot at one point even though it was set to off the wipers came on unless I missed you manually activating them.
I do like the fact there's the option to disable those high beams in Autopilot. That to me has bee one annoying feature added to Tesla. I also like the fact that Autopilot can reengage itself once you manually lane change.
Once recommendation I see is moving that usable USB-C outlet to the top of the device. We use our phone pads to charge the phone but my wife uses a Kindle and may want to charge her work phone and having easy access to the USB-C port is convenient.
How about a three icon per screen option? Many people would be fine with 9 functions total and with three larger icons per screen (pie chart style) it would be easier to select while driving and easier for people with poor eyesight to see.

Thanks for the review clarifcation. Some of my questions were answered. Since the Knob comes with 4 physical buttons, and there's an app for customization, I thought the Knob could do all the same features the S3XY Buttons could do. Also other products that add physical buttons that plug into the same port as the Knob and Buttons have more useful features. Like moving the front passenger chair forward and back and unlatching the doors for those who find the door handles tricky. Like the Tlyard physical buttons you reviewed or the Teslasy Physical Buttons I saw somewhere else.
Fortunately I can reach every door except the rear driver door to open for others. And the moving seats feature would be nice, but I might have needed it before when driving a Model 3. Just got a Model Y so not sure yet. The preconditioning feature I definitely see myself using regularly. And the regen change since I no longer have the Roll option I was used to when driving the Model 3. Other than that, it would be cosmetic device but a cool cosmetic. I like the look of it but for the price and features I like not being there, I might wait a while and consider the other devices first. Is it faster to get the Knob from TSportline or from Enhauto? Enhauto says its still on preorder.

I believe the timing is the same for both Tsportline and Enhauto and it will likely take several weeks to get this product as it is heavily backordered due to enormous interest.

@@ShivaSapkota I recently installed the 12-function 4-button set, and like the ability it provides to release the 2 passenger-side doors as well as to move the passenger seat. If these features get added to this control knob I will be tempted to upgrade to it.
