California Ranch also bottles an extra virgin olive oil derived from 100% California grown olives. It may cost a bit more but has great taste and meets California's strict standards for high quality olive oil.

My household has come to appreciate ALDI’s Specialty EVOO. It 100% Sicilian and also bottled in Sicily in a Black Glass Bottle. I can feel the Pepper in the back of my throat. I believe it to be legit EVOO at $7.99 per bottle. I drink 1 Tbsp every morning and also put it on Salad. We also cook with it.

I recently tried this, seems to be legit, but the price kind of tells you its not. Who knows anymore? There is so much garbage being made and not even checked by government laws which are lousy to begin with that you have difficulty telling what is good and what is bad. Our country's food laws are worse then bad.

I live alone and a bottle or can of olive oil lasts me 10-12 weeks. After careful experience I have no doubt that oil in the cans currently in use develops an off-flavor if not used quickly. The metal probably catalyzes the breakdown of flavor molecules. I've noticed this with both olive and walnut oils.

@@the10bestones You don't have a clue about how to store olive oil. Best way to store the Olive oil is to store it in a GLASS BOTTLE. Olive Oil stored in the metal can has an off taste from the can like other foods that is stored in the can. It needs to be moved to a dark glass bottle soon after it is opened and you should not buy the olive oil that is expired, about 18 months from the date of it being processed. Most Olive oil bottles don't have an expiration date, but should not be kept for too long after it is opened.

Put it in the fridge. If it doesn't cloud up and thicken it's blended.

Trust me, push all those Olive oils above aside and try and get your hands on some Croatian olive oil, it's the best I have ever had in my life. They have won multiple world gold awards but it amazes me that it is not talked or promoted, it leaves Greek, Italian and Spanish olive oils for dead. Had it on my European vacation whilst in Croatia and packed as many bottles as I could in my luggage. Now I order it on line, cost me a little more but well worth it

This is the most lackluster and incorrect video on EVOO I've seen yet! No mention of Harvest Dates?? No mention of Bertolli, a real quality blend with all countries of origin listed, expiration date and HARVEST DATE!!! (Sorry, but HD is the most important component of EVOO labeling, IMO...also, sorry for the flood of acronyms lol!).

I use the organic Berio extra virgin olive oil. I think it’s an excellent oil for the price. It’s only £7 for a 500ml bottle! If you shop at Tesco and you have a club card it will cost you only £5!

I love California EVOO, but I can no longer use it. It always gives me diarrhea, or something close to it. No other OO does this to me. Anyone have a similar experience or a theory?
Perhaps you could cut down on the dosage. Having a laxative effect is indicative of its purity.

Hate blended olive oils. Who knows how they are handled country to country, then bottled. Will not buy olive oil in plastic bottles. Do they think we are nuts? This narrows the field a lot. BTW, all olive oil is gluten free.

I hope you did a chemical analyis to see if they are real olive oils .. Most oils sold in the US are adulerated made up of multiple sources which means you have no idea the quality of the oil
Have the Americans ever heard of a very smal Nation in Europe wich produce a very excellent Olive Oil called..GALO...from Portugal..we can even smell it when we open the Glass bottle or the litre tin...

I have no idea how Berio made any list. It is one of the worst olive oils on the market as far as quality. This list is just ok...they did have Partanna at #3 which i think is the best on the list.

First and foremost make sure brand is honest by selecting a USDA certified brand. Always selec t organic, first cold press, extra virgin. Select a dark bottle to protect from light degrading product.

I have as of late been checking out the

the vast majority have made favourable
comments concerning the oil but just
the other night i clicked onto a site and
had some vegan doctor actually condemn
olive oil as being bad for you, now this guy
I cannot remember his name was talking
to an audience telling them just how bad
olive was for you in fact he was condemning
all oils saying that the why would you want to
put any oils into your body, now he was an
American doctor that I did pick up. Now I
myself take two tablespoons of EVOO in
the morning with lemon juice and honey
mixed with hot water and drank half an
hour before breakfast, but listening to this

You should by oil produced by the country Italy imports, it's not "Italian" oil they use or "Greek" olive oil they import, but they buy more than any other country to use themselves and sell you their own internationally lol
