This track is confusing with this car. Do the breaks even work on this car? I feel like no matter how gently I tap the breaks I just start sliding, and it understeers so bad you can't make it around any turns unless you go slower than Gold. It also seems that making it through the swampy area with any speed is pure luck. Also, the dirt jump seems to be completely random whether or not you flip over. This track has already ruined this game for me :(
dont give up man! i know its a horrible track, but i have some tips for you: sliding and drifting is many times faster than just slowing down and turning in corners, and its the key for fastest times to know when to drift or to just turn. the fucking swamp! it slows you down almost no matter what you do, BUT there are a few things you can try-> its hard to see in the vid, but everytime i hit the water, i do a minimal left/right turn. this seems to sometimes let you keep your speed up, if pressed exactly at the right moment, but the timing is just hard as hell! >_< there might be some other tricks im not aware of (like letting go of gas for just a millisecond at the water, i dunno) but that worked for me, with the combination of luck of course! the jumps in this game can be annoying sometimes, make sure you are facing the jump exactly straight to avoid flipping/rolling, also try to get your heading right in advance before the jump, or you risk spinning out if youre still turning at all near/on the ramp. also some even normal looking jumps are just much harder than others... brakes i dont use much in this game, for gold or trackmaster times you have to be able to keep your speed up, it is a very hard precision game with super tight time limits, and it will only get harder though if youre just starting >_< maybe just settle for silvers and come back later with much more skill? ;) when i got this game it was much, MUCH harder than i anticipated, i thought it was more like a casual arcade racer... and yes you can try the first 160 races out of 200 in arcade mode, but for the fastest times in campaign you will need hundreds or even thousands of hours of practise! if you find the game too hard, it just might not be for you :S but i hope my tips can make it more tolerable! :)
I played a lot of racing games growing up. Grand Turismo, nfs, fortza, including the first track mania. So I didn't think getting gold on track 15 would be that hard, but DAMN. Kept losing speed on the puddles, but after this it helped a lot. What's funny is all of the other track I got gold within 4 tries. What makes it really hard is how responsive the controls are, and that coupled with the fact you have almost no traction on dirt. I think I'll just keep my gold medal, no need for track master lol
This is stupid. Bad game design and programming. I can understand that there's challenge. We shouldnt be able to perfectly win every time on every track, of course. But it shouldn't take 628+ tries to barely make it to Gold either. If you don't come check videos like this one to figure out what the fuck is wrong, you can't win. That slight left-right turn to keep speed up in the water ponds? How the hell can you ever figure that out?? And since when we have to do this kind of manoeuvre in an off-road racing game?!? The steering is too sensitive, this is exaggerated. I know it's an arcade game and we dont have deep and technical seetings like Gran Turismo, but jesus there's a limit at some point. We should be at least able to adjust steering and brake strenght with rudimentary sliders. I was enjoying that game until i got to this track. No game should demand perfection... Glad i didnt pay for this game =/
i remember this one being surpriseingly difficult for so early on, especially with the water traps that seem to easily take away all your speed! my best tip would be to try to do a small quick left right movement when hitting the water parts, at least to me it seemed to help me keep my momentum in those annoying sections.
its the worst! LOL try to do a little wiggle or just a very short millisecond turn when in the water to hopefully keep your speed up. this doesnt work all the time, but gives you better chance to not get bumped by the water causing you to lose all your speed :/ its hard to explain and see from the video but i do it too, takes a little to get used to but you should learn this trick pretty easily by testing it out
Too hard. I literally tried for 2 hours. the only advice i can give you is. dont use brakes at all Bc the car is weird and it will probably fuck you up. and slow down by not pressing R2 turn with your stick only and not the brakes.

I've tried this one 100 times myself and I can't get gold. You have to be perfect every lap and one little twitch or wrong wrong move will screw you.
