    Thank you Phillip. This was a reminder that we should accommodate and welcome the broad range of taste in art. Perhaps it captures the tolerant spirit of the UK , something that seems recently under threat in wider society as the nations historic and artistic culture is increasingly proscribed.

    And again a great-put-together-series! Some of the paintings were absolutely gorgeous. I can see why their owners love them. Speaking of owners, I have noticed throughout the series that it is elderly people who have great art pieces. What happened to the young people? No taste? Thanks for the smiles again Philip and Oliver and since this is the end of a lovely series.....Boohoo.... stay safe everyone!

Kudos to you for going beyond the usual gallery offerings. The love which is manifest in the owners faces is mesmerizing. There is hope still for painting.

    Every episode has been such a joy to look forward to. It's been so fun to see our art community and the art in everyone's homes. Sorry mine was late. I'll be watching this again and again. It was all so art inspiring. I genuinely have a little heartache to see it end.
    I sent you an email a few weeks back, It may have gotten lost amongst the many you must receive. If not I can send again for the offer for Cedric's gift. There wasn't really any need to reply except for that.
    Please stay safe over there, you are an international treasure.

    This was so much fun! I learned about your Art in Isolation project when I was listening to a podcast called “Art Juice”. British artist Louise Fletcher mentioned how great it was, and my mom and I here in Minneapolis, Minnesota, US, found it to be a great outlet when so much else is heavy on our hearts (and everyone’s hearts) right now. Thank you for being willing to try something new so publicly - it takes a lot of courage and we loved every minute of it! Cheers to you and Oliver! Tracey and mom Beki

    I'm still left with the very clear idea that the Vanessa Bell painting, that we saw early in the series, was the truest, and most out-standing art form of all the images shown. It didn't need word-spinning -- a literary device -- a literary crutch -- to be fashioned into presentable "ART". No wonder her sister writer, Virginia Woolf, was so envious.

  • @ivorytower99
    @ivorytower99 Před 4 lety

    Thanks, Philip. Great series. That really was great. I could have submitted some eye catching focal points on canvas and panel.
    The 2nd to last and then the final piece were the best, IMO; as well as the one of the 2 women on horseback, but with the real-live man in photo.
    Thanks, Oliver, you did a great job. And I know that editing is Hell without the sin. Ta!~

  • @ivorytower99
    @ivorytower99 Před 3 lety

    Damn! Had I known we were doing intimate anatomy as a subject, I could have knocked it out of the park, with this one particular piece in my collection. I thought it would be too racy; but after viewing the swan, possibly "Zeus", having intercourse with a woman, at 1:25 in this programme, it now would seem tame by comparison. I love coming back for more viewing. Who knows: there may be A Call to Camera Series 2? Ta!~

    Hello philip , thanks for your wonderful videos , absolutely amazing , am enjoying them as usual
    I want to ask you about one of british artist plesse , which unfortunatly i couldnt find much information about him except few past auctions , i have got one of his abeautifull and very well done painting at home ,
    the photo is on my profile picture here on CZcams , i bought it from an auction house , was described on catalogue as unsigned painting , probably by artist called Chad .A. Browning ( due to a label was stuck on the back of the frame )
    It so beautifull and unbelievably well done painting , when i took it home , i examinated it carefully , i discovered. That its got full signature on lower left corner which is Chas .A. Browning born ( 1900-2000 ) and not chad
    Could you please tell us one day more about him in one of you episodes , what a shame there is so little informations regarding his life and biography
    Hope you will read my comment
    Regards

    The picture that was on the chaps computer that Philip has on his wall (the group of musicians) has an image that is the double of an actor that has appeared in an episode of Midsomer Murders, but I can't for the life of me remember which episode or the actors name. It has been bugging me since I first saw that painting because it is just as though someone has done a portrait of the actor in costume. It is the chap at the back/middle sat on the chair with a black coat: czcams.com/video/W1HA_RUeelc/video.html
