    Thank you very much for all the tips, especially using baking paper for smaller pieces. I had a very expensive laminator and tried using a smaller sheet of material and it did exactly as you said. It wrapped around inside and this particular machine had no way to take it apart. Total disaster, machine totally ruined and lots of money gone to waste. I appreciate these tips and tricks very much. Love the pretty little pouches with napkins and snaps.

    You can get “carrier pouches” which are silicone lined cardstock , open on three sides that you place your piece being laminated in before sending it through the laminator. It protects the rollers and prevents your piece from getting too hot and wrinkling.

    You can "laminate" small items between 2 pieces of wide clear packing tape. Burnish it well & cut out. I have also machine-stitched around items that were laminated to make sure that they stay put. It also adds texture. Kind regards.

    I so love your channel. You do an excellent job or explaining things and are always so creative. I am a little saddened, though, by the laminating, as the plastic that laminators use, like all plastic, lasts basically forever. Is there such a thing as laminating pouches made out of recycled plastic? Just a thought...Anyway, thank you for all your stunning and original work.

    • @Saacibo
      @Saacibo  Před 4 měsíci

      You’re very welcome! I understand your point of view when it comes to plastic and I try to recycle as much as I possibly can, not just plastic but other things as well. Laminating art and dry plants is a way to preserve them, as you pointed out plastic last forever. I agree that pouches can be made many different ways, and using recycled plastic is a much better way. This was just an example of what can be done with laminator. In essence, the problem we have with waste is not because of the plastic itself, but because of the human factor and our irresponsible use of it in every day life. When I go to the supermarket and see that everything is in some sort of plastic, even things that don’t need to be, I get very sad, too. ❤️

    Hey Dragana, thank you for sharing such a useful video. I have always been a bit scared about laminating - because of wrinkles and gumming up the machine. Your tips were so helpful. I was wondering that maybe because the easter eggs were made of card stock , it made it too thick. When I have used- card, not paper, the temperature does not get hot enough and so they dont stick - may be try it when the machine is hotter. I tried to make several collage place mats recently and found that with thicker card or two layers of thinner card - then the plastic did not stick properly. It worked well for the thinner pieces though.

    • @Saacibo
      @Saacibo  Před 3 měsíci

      You’re very welcome! Glad you found the information helpful. It is possible that the eggs were too thick, I should probably try with washi tape on just paper to see if it works. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience with this with me. I appreciate it ❤️😊

    The laminator applies heat from both sides, the easter eggs are too thick for the heat to properly penetrate so it doesn't melt the glue properly

    If my laminating curls, I send it back through from the opposite end.
    Also I wonder if you ran the egg shapes through again to let them absorb more heat? They are quite thick.

    • @Saacibo
      @Saacibo  Před 4 měsíci

      Great tip. I’ll definitely try it. I tried with the eggs several times and it just didn’t work. Perhaps they were too thick. 😊

    When there are wrinkles how we can resolve? We let them? Or if I try to iron putting some fabric?

    • @Saacibo
      @Saacibo  Před 4 měsíci

      Sometimes I put it through one more time and it resolves but if it’s too bad unfortunately not much you can do. I tried ironing over fabric and it didn’t work for me.
