  • This is a review of the Bezior XF200 e-mountain bike. There aren't too many videos about it, let alone in English so, I wanted to share my thoughts as I think they will be helpful to anyone considering buying this bike. Follow up: • Video

    Thank you for your video of your experiences. I found it helpful.
    The issues you mention in the video are quite minor compared to many ebikes out of the box. Rarely is an out of the box bike a perfect fit for anyone.
    Your handle bar space could be resolved with a complete bar upgrade or a handle bar accessory extension, the latter being inexpensive.
    Most bikes in this price point and below include a bottom end Shimano shifter. But most don't include hydraulic brakes and rear suspension and sometimes minus front suspension, too; these are big pluses.
    The gear shift is a wear and tear item that will need replacing at some point. Yours came early and it is out of the way.
    As for the seat post, a metal shop may be your best bet. Or find out the diameter of the seat post (pipe) and search the web. Someone made that and they aren't manufacturing it Bezior only.
    I hope you are still enjoying the bike.

      Thank you for your insightful comments. I agree with all of them with the possible exception of the seatpost (pipe). I think if one were to buy from a more well established company, they would have a better chance of dealing with industry standards when upgrading. I am still enjoying the bike, thanks!

      Quick update: I took the bike to my local bike shop because the brakes were squealing. Since the pads are from China, I just had the whole brake system replaced and that's made a huge difference in the overall riding experience. My point though, is that when I mentioned the short seat post, the technician pointed out that the reason for the short distance between the seat and the pedals is because of the high placement of the pedals. I never noticed this, but he was absolutely correct!

    This bikes power can be unlocked to reach 50kph. There is a video on here showing you how this might be my next bike, edit I think a good idea after buying this bike is give it a few upgrades like you've done like the shifter, etc

    Hi Glenn. Thanks for the candid review. Just moved to Algarve too. And I am looking for an e-bike for the same exact reasons you mentioned. I'm looking for fat tyres and foldable. A bit of internet research internet pointed me towards the Bezior XF200. I see you got some issues... What would you recommend me?

    • @glennover6046
      @glennover6046  Před rokem +1

      Hi Jacopo. My recommendation is to keep researching and look for a bike from a manufacturor that is well known enough for you to be able to buy spare parts, upgrades, etc. I bought the Bezior after living in the Algarve only about four months and did not know that there were several bike shops that offer e-bikes. I think the inital cost may be about $400 or $500 more than the Bezior but at the end of the day, I think it's definitely a matter of, "You get what you pay for."

      @@glennover6046 Thanks. I started from the shops, but they are focused and stocked on a different kind of bikes: either urban e-bikes with skinny tyres or radical e-MTB. Cool looking bikes in either category start around 4-5k € and still lack the cool factor of the 20" fat tyres. I'll keep digging...

      @@glennover6046 PS: is the bike really transportable? It folds up, but looks heavy, not sure how easy to put into a car. I' over 60 too and no bodybuilder.

      @@jacopovalentino Technically, it's transportable, however as you so keenly observed, it is not only heavy, but extremely unwieldy.

    Bought one and it is not any more powerful than my 500W Avantrek Cybertrack, even after adjusting settings. Does anyone else think this bike is slow or does mine maybe have a defect?

    How does it handle steeper hills in the electric only mode without pedaling?

    • @glennover6046

      Thank you for your question. I've had two instances where I faced a steep incline; one was on a trail, the other, on the road leading to my house. On both of those, I had to hop off and push.

    What about the autonomy of the bike? I ask because I think I have a problem with my brand new XF200 since I cannot do more that 25km then I have to recharge.

    • @glennover6046
      @glennover6046  Před rokem

      Interesting. The longest round trip I make is approximately 24km and I have to recharge as well. This is mostly riding on level 2 which is what I tend to keep it on in traffic. Thank you for the question!

      @@glennover6046 I opened a ticket with Bezior customer service, which is responsive but a little bit awkward in their request (make a movie about the problem?!!?!): I will keep you informed about the results.

    I've got the same model. Love it.
    Just changed this handlebar for BMX and pedals for Giant platforms 👍 Check my videos.
