  • Learn more about the origins of minerals, gems, and crystals, and how the market is growing and adapting as people further appreciate the connection between minerals, science, and art.
European royalty were the first true collectors of mineral specimens, displayed in “cabinets of curiosities.” Over the next 300 years generations of English, Russian and European nobility and aristocrats carried on this royal tradition of mineral collecting. Although minerals were first collected in America during the 17th century, the field is most famously associated with several prominent collectors of the gilded age: J. P. Morgan, Clarence S. Bement, George Frederick Kunz and Washington Roebling. These early collectors were instrumental in establishing great public collections of minerals throughout the United States.
Today mineral collecting has evolved into a broad worldwide market that ranges from hobbyists to sophisticated connoisseurs seeking the most exquisite examples. Beauty and aesthetic merit define our core interest in fine minerals, as with the fine arts that have been our mainstay for nearly 40 years.
We regard the best minerals as an art form, each measured by defined criteria that include crystal form, color, transparency, luster, proportions, and orientation. One’s first exposure to a truly great mineral is an eye-opening and thrilling experience, appealing on many levels. We look forward to sharing masterpieces of the mineral kingdom with new collectors.

Omg , super jealous. Such amazing specimens. I wish I could just be around them everyday. To be able to walk past each display case everyday and look at the same piece but see something different every time. To think how my modern mind is blown by these objects even after being drugged all day with special effects , graphic designs, or whatever artificial appeal is shoved in my face , I couldn't imagine what my ancient ancestors must have been thinking when they would find specimens like these or full blown crystallized cave systems. I say this half comically but half of me seriously wonders what would the level of pure awesomeness be , if you lived thousands of years ago and in the middle of a ceremony an awaited eclipse hits its climax point while you're dosed to the gills with ayahuasca and your shaman walks up to you pulling back a some animal pelt to reveal some huge chunk of opal that's swirling with these vibrant colors you've never seen before? 😳😲🤯. 🗿idk, that might be enough to maybe want to spend the next few months chiseling a giant head for what would seem to us a confusing reason but to Ayahuasca Allen , he's hoping that on the next eclipse his giant head is full of blue/purple opal. But what do I know , I'm just a knucklehead who found a cool marble the other day that escaped someone's aquarium .
🤲🏼🌀🔅 to the ancient, to the old and to the new...godspeed
