I had my husband to the same thing 😆 Then he built me some half shelves so I could use them as shelf risers and double stack. I used the $35 Target shelves and they look great. Love your look too! Side note: pallet boards work perfectly as shelf risers!
I was thinking I’d have to double stack if I couldn’t add additional shelves, and I wanted to avoid it if possible! 🥲 Glad you got your shelves to work for you too!! ☺️

With the extra shelf and the half shelf risers I can fit about 370-400 books per bookcase and still be able to see all the spines. I love watching organization videos! They always give me new ideas on how to display my collection and what new series I should look out for.
This was so stunning! I wish my mind could organize like yours. I did used to have my volumes at the end of the shelf like you did yet I needed space for my Funkos lol 😂 Maybe you could paint those two shelves white. Honestly it’s displayed so perfect!
