So adorable! Yes, have your kids watch The Wizard of Oz! Yep when we were growing up, it was only on once a year.

I use the red Folger's plastic cans to protect my young trees and shrubs from grass trimmers!
Just cut a slit down one side, cut around the bottom (recycling that extra part) and place the prepared can around the tree or shrub.
I just use scissors to trim any grass that grows inside the can, and the red color of the sturdy plastic protects the tree's tender bark from the mower and trimmer's cuts and nicks.
When the tree grows too big for the can, it's ready for the real world and everybody is used to not getting too close to the tree!
I also use the cans to make slow-release watering systems for newly planted bushes and glowers. I use a power drill to make half a dozen small holes around the perimeter of the can's base.
Then I place one or two cans around the plant, fill up the cans with water and gravity does the rest.
A few cans of water a week in the dry season does the trick! My plants stay healthy and well-watered without using a soaker hose!
Works great for tomato plants, too!

I Love the wizard of oz, it's my favorite movie!! You did it justice with every can! My favorite character was the scarecrow. BTW, I've met every Oz personality, ( in people), during my life, & of course, I have the Dorothy personality. Think about the people you know, I bet you do too!! Lol

I just love them, they're adorable!! I always like the cowardly lion , he was so funny!! In the one part where he thought someone had his tail but it was himself!! Anyway I need to find some coffee cans and let my grandbabies help make them, I'm not sure if they have seen it or not but I know they would love it .!!! Thank you so much for the idea !!
