Then yeah, Obama sure doomed us. I wouldn't consider those things an equation for a doomed nation though.

Because he's our commander in chief. We live in America, do we not? Where the government, in our own Bill of Rights, cannot seek punitive damages for free speech - where we have the right to free peaceful protest.
If we're not allowed to criticize our own leaders - which, might I add, Obama has been under fire for most of his presidential career for just that (and so has Bush, and Clinton, and so on) - I'd wager that's a direct affront to my right to free speech. A government that makes itself out to appear beyond reproach is, by all means, tyrranical in all forms, especially if it is a government that is supposed to be "of the people, by the people, for the people" in concept.
Don't tell me you can't handle the concept of someone criticizing Trump, because Lord almighty does he deserve it. If he somehow manages to pull us out of this with some positives, you'll see praise for him. But everything out of his mouth, everything his press team, his incoming cabinet, etc., has postured themselves as, is giving no faith to a growing majority of americans.
