This is one if those songs like Snuff. You can tell it was written from true pain, not just "written" lyrics.
Snuff lyrics are the best lyrics ever written for any song without a second place. Any person who lost somebody too early will cry just reading the lyrics. Hell, I’m crying just writing this comment.
Just a fun fact for you, the two people who play the couple in the video are actually a couple in real life. Or at least were at the time of filming of this video.
Another fun fact is that the guy is a vocalist of a metal band and I can't recall it's name.
His band is called lowlives and he used to sing in a band called the defiled.
And they are still married 😊

And also only an hour north from where lil peep was born and raised
The "I Hope that we meet in another life" Just summarizes It all to me, that line gets me every SINGLE time

I have always had a thing for songs that change the chorus at the end, and emotional songs that will do that never fail to make me an emotional wreck
I still regret losing the most amazing woman,Kaylee was perfect and I didn't do what I needed to,she stuck with me through so much but I kept pushing her away,so I don't blame her or have any hard feelings that she left,she deserved better
this song is so good, I love when in the final chorus he switches from "I hate that I need you" to "I don't hate that I need you"
I love this song the line "The finest to compose could not play our pain" is such an awesome lyric I love it so much
Another song with a familiar theme is The Forsaking by Fleshgod Apocalypse the Ballet in the music video tells the whole story and it'll definitely bring you to tears

These guys are by far my favourite band right now. I’m going to see them live for the third time in a year next Thursday and the both times I have gone they were nothing short of outstanding. This tour their currently on looks even better and I’m so excited to see them next week

May I just say that you are hands down absolutely the queen of reactions. I stumbled upon one of you're reactions early this evening after work and one video led to another and another and I just looked at the clock thinking that maybe an hour had passed and I realized it's 4 am which means my alarm is going to go off very soon and I've had zero sleep lol. needless to say I throughly enjoy watching you're videos and I think it's because one you're personality but also each video is unique and it seems anyway that you are truly reacting to what your watching and so at least from my perspective it feels like hanging out and watching various artists/bands with a friend which is nice and certainly made my day 👍 so thanks and keep it up , you're awesome

second time seeing them live last night at the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville on Broadway. it was their first ever sold out show in Nashville and we sang Happy Birthday to Chris as they were getting ready to play their next song. Also when they played this song, he didnt miss a beat per usual. It was snowing during the performance, and everything he does in the booth or in the music video, he does it in the live shows.
My favorite band of all time seen them live multiple times. You definitely have to see them if you get the chance 🤘

Def check out their stuff! A lot of their songs are really heavy but they have a good amount of songs with clean vocals in it. Masterpiece, porcelain, scoring the end of the world, eternally yours, holding on to smoke, catharsis, and reincarnate are all great songs to listen to if you want a good introduction to the band :) one of my favorite music groups out today 🤘🏻

This track gets me everytime. For most it's as if they simply broke up from deeper issues. Howerver, "I hate that your heart was the casualty; Now I hate that I need you" makes me think of death. As someone who lost a significant other to suicide, this song is beautiful but also cuts extremely deep.

This is one of songs me and my ex connected over so this hits more than most. Plus me and her had our first and only child together earlier in the year. Reminds me how things used to be and how much things could have been if things went differently
The lyrics at 5:02 punch even harder for me now. Even though she cheated on me I still hate that 'I need you' after everything
I highly recommend Disguise next, it’s such an expressive & deep & simply beautiful song, one of my faves from MIW

I feel like when I first listened to this my take was more of a “right person wrong time” or that person that was so right but you yourself weren’t and you lost the love and you just want to meet them in the next life so you can get it right
I highly recommend going all the way back to the very beginning of their career and listen to the song apocalips i think u would have a different respect for them after hearing the foundation of their music

Not loving this just because we're from the same state but Chris is an amazing lyricist and what he writes can make you feel what he was feeling when he wrote it. He is an amazing enough vocalist between a range of cleans and harshes that it makes him look like an amazing vocalist... but he never pushes showing off what he can do. He makes certain that what he does vocally makes us, the listeners, literally feel the emotion that the lyrics make you expect to hear and feel.

Yes, I like it when they use so little of the song title in the lyrics as oppose to repeating it within the song structure, or better yet, the kind of songs that don't have the title at all in the lyrics, I can't name a lot on top of my head, but one of them is Sidewinder by Avenged Sevenfold, the lyrics had zero Sidewinder cause the song itself is about a snake so the whole song is indeed about the title but none of it were explicitly said sidewinder 😂
