- Follow Phill Dale to a mark called Stu's point at Skarnsundet in Norway. Today Phill is targeting monster plaice successfully and enjoys a fantastic winter day by the Fjord in Norway.
A fishing holiday in Norway is about so much more than just catching fish..
We hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching!

Every few months I find myself coming back and binge watching all your video Phill. I love them. I'll have to make it out there someday soon!!
Those Plaice are... in the words of John Wilson... Clonkers! Decent Cod at the end too, just to make us even more jealous. Haha. :-D
Very atmospheric shots, great music, beautiful production, what a glorious fishing video, thank you so much! I love all the random sea, rock and sky shots. Brilliant.. And your positivity and appreciation of the beauty of the sport and fish is contagious to the max.
Teen size green white bellied cod while flounder fishing....just beyond awesome!! Whatever you folks are doing to keep your stocks of ground fish healthy...keep it up! An example the rest of the world should follow.
Thank you roger, lovely comment
Another excellent video Phil. I must admit I'm very impressed with these last couple. Shame it was blown out in points but it didn't take anything away form the video. Two incredible plaice and a cod that would keep me smiling the entire year! Brilliant!
Fantastic to see plaice that size alive these days.. we had them that size in ireland up to late 90s. Unfortunately they were wiped out by trawlers
I’m sure Norway has great fishing thanks to people like you . Great videos . It’s funny how we have almost the same fish in New England. But not from shore .
That place sound lush ... I've fished for all those species separately in the uk with years of good success with plaice to 5.5lb from shore .. but all those fish possible on the same day .. Nice.
It is so wonderfully unspoilt and not overfished and exploited, great.would love to fish Norway one day.👍
Lovely stuff Phill, the Jersey boys and I hope to be back in the spring.
great vid, and well done in returning them beautys
What a country, I'd love to make it over one day, your dabs look bigger than the plaice we get over here 😀
Amazing video, great production. That fishing is superb
Cheers Si
Great channel my friend, love Norway, been a few times, skiing mainly. Never fished there, but it looks like the stuff dreams are made of. You’re very fortunate to live there. It’s a stunning place to live. Have subbed. Look forward to watching more of your exploits. Greetings from the Isle of Wight, UK.
Excellent informative video as always Phil. Best job in the world.
Cheers Buddy

What rods are they Phil. They seem very powerful, but with nice action in the tip area. Love the videos, very well presented with all the incredible scenery around you.

Love your videos, brilliantly presented. A group of 4 of us are coming over April 2020, and I can’t wait to fish these marks. Thanks for the videos.
Looking forward to it mate. Thanks
Skarnsundet boat and shore fishing Norway. I make a few CZcams videos of my own, I’d love to make a few more while I’m over to add to my channel. Big plaice on bait is my target, and some sporting cod / pollack on shads on light gear.
how often do you see a Cod that big get put back, well done
Thank you
I thought this was an amazing video with great fishing, well done...
Thank you Keith
Amazing video! Very professional and high quality footage. I couldn't care less if it was minus 15 with that stamp of fishing available! What's it like at night there?
Hey, its more of a cod and haddock fishing mark in the darkness but it can produce some monsters. Thanks
That is top quality fish ,it really is!
Thanks Mark

Phil, awesome videos that you are making, I'm new on your channel. I am located in London UK. I have fished Norway 18 month ago in Bo' area and it was awesome, my biggest Cod back then was 26lb and we caught many more and Coal Fish as well. All fishing was on lures (jigging big 300-400 grams of metal or rubber jig head with a teaser above it) I am wondering if you guys are making some sort of fishing trips like you show in your videos and with lures.
Hey, yer I have my own fishing park. Check it out www.skarnsundet-fishing.com thanks for the story
Awesome Phil thanks I’ll look into it carefully
I need a trip back out for them plaice like
We call those starry flounder here in California.
Nice video, I subscribed😃👍
Thank you
What a belta place to fish
Cheers
Really enjoyed this one ! Where are you from in Hull ?
Cheers Andy, Driffield mate
Great video Phil - would love to see what there is to offer more in the lure department if possible.
Will get on that soon mate, thanks
Cheers look forward to it. Lure fishing is my main diet - would love to see what norway has compared to the north west coast of scotland!
@@hairyscone From personal experience there, there's some great sport on lures for cod, coalfish, pollack sea trout and always the chance of halibut.
@@trucker287 halibut would be nice. If only over here!!
Where is Phil Dale from?
Easy Yorkshire
@@nordicsportfishing lol, I thought so, I wasn't sure if Norwegians and Yorkshiremen sounded the same..........
What kind of reels are you using?
