- An open house is set to begin for the renovated St. George Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in southern Utah. The pioneer-era house of the Lord has been closed for extensive renovation since November 2019.

As a non- Mormon this is one of the prettiest, most grand buildings I’ve ever seen!
It's even more amazing and beautiful when you know the history of how it was built and the struggles the people of that area went threw to build it.
What happens inside is even more beautiful.
As a member I say the same! It is so divine!
As a kid who isn’t old enough to go inside yet, I fully believe my parents that the temple is an amazing place and am excited that I will be soon be old enough to go here
You'll definitely want to check out the Salt Lake Temple renovations when they're done! You'll be blown away.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to be able to volunteer for the open house. Having been through the temple I can say with full confidence that there are no words that can describe the beauty, the spirit and the peace of The House of The Lord. If you can I strongly encourage everyone to attend the open house.

Such a beautiful holy place, looking forward to being inside it in a couple weeks for the open house for the public. I have been reading about the original settlement of Saint George and the sacrifices they made to build this temple. It is an inspiring story of sacrifice and faith. I am thankful that the community has made this historic house of worship ready for the next generations. We all need to be reminded what values have held the world together. It is all about families needing to be strong and to serve each other.

The colors, the details, the ornamentation, the artwork, everything is just beautiful!
The details were really what struck me as well, particularly in the little gilded touches. I wish more people did that anymore. It's really quite stunning.
What a glorious temple, a vision of majesty. set in a spectacular surounding. Gods House... his blessing to his coventanted saints. with a promise of temperance to those who live there. This Love that our Father in Heaven has for his children enlarges my Heart. My soul needs to shout praises to Him whos house this is.

My ancestors helped build it. I attended the rededication in 1975. No way am I going to miss this open house.
Having recreated some of the original details when we did the Millwork left me at times speechless and humbled. These early pioneers were truly dedicated to the lord.

We had a family reunion with our 3 kids and 6 grandkids in September. We planned it a year before. i realized as time got closer we would be be there when the open house was going on. When appointments for large groups were available I got our reservation. As we walked through i noticed our 3 year old grand daughter was walking in front of me with her arms folded. what an example to all of us.

Love the architecture style of the pioneers, the sculpted moldings, railings, pillars, the stained wood flooring and trim. Love the coverings on the chairs in the Veil Room. This temple has an old fashion home style ambiance, with a stately elegance. Loved the woodwork in the Provo City Center Temple, the parquet wood floor in the lobby, the trim, moldings and railings of the staircase. There is an Art Deco style the church uses through out the design of tables, cabinets, furniture and elements of architecture, that lends a timeless yet stately look to the Temples. My compliments to the temple planners and designers, amazing job!

How beautiful it is to see the craftsmanship and reverence of the many hands that did such beautiful work. And I love the talents of those who filmed this temple so we all can experience this. Oh, when I lived in St. George, and I live, just down the street from the temple. But I wasn’t temple worthy back then. So I don’t know what the old temple looks like but if I get the opportunity to go back, I would love to go into new improved St. George Temple.🙏

I’m an Australian non-Mormon who went to the open house and the Temple is amazing.
Beautiful Temple of God, it make me feel to go to the Temple everyday but our Temple is closed now for 9 weeks, can’t wait for Auckland Temple to open, its close so I can go there everyday. Love the beauty of all Temples, where the spirit of the Lord dwells.

I can hardly wait to go through that beautiful building in November. This is the first temple of the church built after the saints traveled to the Salt Lake Valley after the death of Joseph Smith.

The tour was like going back in time in a Time Machine of the late 1800 hundreds with the beautiful oil lamps and chandeliers being restored along with furniture from that era. I must say it was a beautiful experience walking through this Temple . I couldn’t help but think that Brigham Young had walked these holy halls. Loved the colors blue throughout the temple !

As a construction guy, I've worked on a few temple projects. Once during break-time, the baptismal font was brought in and installed. You should have heard the (non-member chatter... "Hey they just brought in some kind of jacuzzi and now they're setting it up on a bunch of steers!" )
I regret , I didn't take the opportunity to teach them...(I was chicken.)
