  • This abandoned firehouse in Dayton opened in 1901 after construction started in 1899. It is the last horse-drawn firehouse still standing in Dayton. Ohio. The firehouse was registered to the National Registry of Historical Places in 1988. Today it sits abandoned with an old historic fire truck sitting abandoned with it. Anyone familiar with this area knows this is an extremely rough neighborhood. There are about 132 abandoned structures in just the first 2.5 miles of this main thoroughfare. That is not counting the dozens of abandoned houses on the side streets and dozens more abandoned empty lots.ICE attempted to get some rearview footage of the firehouse and fire truck, it was extremely dark and as we made our to the back side of thr building there were serval people there and we didn't want to disturb them, so there is a moment on the video it does get very dark.
