- Jurassic World Evolution was easily one of the biggest surprises of 2018. You normally wouldn't expect a licensed game to be anything more than middling, but Frontier Developments took the beloved license and made an excellent dino park management simulator out of it.
Its upcoming sequel, Jurassic World Evolution 2, is looking even more promising, seeing as its building on the solid foundations laid down by its predecessor with exciting improvements and refinements. Ahead of its looming launch, here, we're going to talk about a few key talking points from the game that you should know about. - Hry
What I wouldn't give for a VR park tour mode.
same. ive tried with vorpx to at least ride in the gyrosphere in VR; and its functional but the perf is... not good. This does use the Cobra Engine, and FDev do have a working VR camera in the engine within Elite Dangerous; so its not impossible; we just need to make ourselves heard on the matter/they need to listen
@@mastafoo886 I'll have to give it a go in vorpx. It just seems like a no brainer, an official VR mode would add so much to the experience. Honestly I'd love to play the entire game in native VR but I'd be thrilled just drive around my parks in a jeep or gyro sphere. We should make a petition.

Games that are more in depth and thought out like this always sound so cool and well done and then I remember I'm a mom with a homestead and that doesn't leave as much time for any of that

Jurassic World Evolution was amazing but lacking in some features to make it the great experience it was meant to be. This sequel seems to be fixing those problem to make this game one of the best park builders out there.
While I agree that JWE2 looks to be expanding and improving upon JWE to become the superior game, JWE was still a *great* experience. Considering the last game we got like it was JPOG and there was no sign of another game like it for 15 years until JWE, I’d say what we got was still great!
I swear no one can ever be satisfied with anything anymore.
I feel like they’re packing in way too much micromanagement.
@@MasterMayhem78 That is what totally ruined the game experience for me. It just became a total grind. There was just too much minutia to constantly micromanage. I just wanted to build new enclosures, buildings, raise new dino types, but along with too many combined tasks, no matter how strong I made the fences, I spent way too much time constantly chasing down escaped dinos. I finally just quit the game, which is a shame, because the game had such high potential to be a great game for me.
@@rjjeffreys literally everything you wanted from the game was all in sandbox. There were settings to disable dinosaurs escaping and no management requirements. You could just freely build with no worries. Maybe should’ve given the game more of a chance instead of quitting after a couple campaign missions.
Jwe 2 is a lot better than the 1st one having marine reptiles and we get flying reptiles behave more realistic though.
It blows me away that the game is so small! 6-7GB? Yes please!

I've been looking forward to this before it was even announced. The more recent comes out about it, the more excited I get. The 9th can come fast enough.

Note to self do not get close to a Dinosaur if it’s angry I would rather observe the fight from a distance and break it up if possible then be Dino chow either that or try to train the raptors
when I played the first game, I was blown away. I kept saying "holy shit you can do that?!" - like the ranger vehicles, the helicopter etc. it was so dynamic and cool. May just buy it now

Vegetation they eat isn't depleted at all. Chaos mode isn't even what if scenarios other than San Diego. Most of them are literally just build a park or in JP3's case helping Masrani transfer animals to Nublar which actually happened in the lore.
One of my biggest issues with the first game was vegetation. The camera cuts out when the dinos enter the tree areas. Jeeps couldn't drive through the large gaps in the tree area.
So, I've got JWE1 for the Xbox, but I hate playing games like this on console (got it through game pass. Hard to pass up a free game). The controls just feel clunky. I was going to get it for my PC, but then 2 was announced. But I also understand that JWE2 seems to have a lot missing that will most likely be released in a DLC after Dominion comes out in theaters. So, bottom line, should I get JWE1 and wait for Dominion's release so I can get the JWE2 in full or skip the first game and just get 2 now and patiently wait for the missing features?
I just hope my pc can run it. Ran the first game and planet zoo perfectly

I swear every time I think about the new locations in this game taking place outside of Las Cinco Muertes, I think of this game as canonically after the events of Jurassic world fallen kingdom, (SPOILERS AHEAD) InGen decides to both simultaneously mitigate and take advantage of the dinosaurs escaping the underground facility to make another totally original Jurassic World style theme park on the actual continent since they can't use Isla Nublar anymore. And you the player, a high ranking member assigned by the board of directors at InGen has been given the task of managing these new parks.

Until you have played through at least half way through the game don't make a review. Play it when it releases play it then give it a review of before you buy. Don't play the demo then say yeah guys before you buy consider this...
The devs has already sent out sections of the game to be played by trusted people, so its likely they have played some of the game before making this video.

I made the mistake of pre-ordering jurassic world evolution. I woulnt make the same mistake until I see evidence they finally made a better game than Operation Genesis.
Hello@@zmman9243 my biggest gripe wa that the dino ai was lacking but I also felt like the story mode along with all the other modes were inferior to operation genesis. The only thing in my opinion evolution did better was visuals.

No idea, but maybe, since the mountains takes place in Washington State (and desert most likely takes place around the Arizona area). A Hawaiian island could be added to keep with the U.S.A. aspect

You can. With the Chaos Theory mode we will be going back to Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna.

Honestly I’ve been enjoying the previous game and looking at this new weather and how Dino’s behave it just seems like your going to be panicking the whole time and will just want to sedate everything which sucks I honestly like that my Dino’s Aren’t constantly being a pain in the ass and I can focus on other things in the game just take the graphics and the new Dino’s with performance and bug fixes with better ai fir the Dino’s

Would every fight have almost a guaranteed kill? Like for territory fights or something, like if a T-Rex fights a Majungasaurus, obviously the Majungasaurus is F##### but is it possible the T-Rex will only lower it and let it run away? or will it always kill?
It’s been confirmed that carnivores will have failed hunts and attacks.
You can even see a glimpse of it in one of the trailers where a carno is chasing a parasaur and just as it’s about to attack it, the carno trips.
In the 1st game usually when carnivores fought that would for a little and then run away & the fight again later.If it was a carnivore & herbivore fighting then it usually ends when one is dead.

This is a game based on the Jurassic franchise, so all the models are based on the movies, not accuracy, but there is information regarding each dino to read about in a limited form, as its mostly trivia about the movies.
@@mariovilla1388 it’s a game, I love accuracy in dinosaurs but you can get that by reading a book, or an article on them on the internet, not in a game set in a franchise where there velociraptors are taller than people(not accurate at all) there are games like prehistoric kingdom which aim to be accurate but in that game as well, gameplay will come first like in all games. Games aren’t meant to be used for education instead entertainment to shut your brain of for an hour or two
