That's nothing I loaded a couple new households I had made and merged them and I think I might of gotten them married to start there was 2 pets I think. So I decide they should adopt and just as the one sim is leaving to bring home a kid the other dies after using the stove. I had literally only played for like 5 minutes. He wouldn't even extinguish himself.

Left it alone for one minute to tend to a cat. Mom was feeding the baby when I got up. Got back and couldn’t find the baby just the two toddlers and the parents. Checked notifications and baby was taken away due to starvation. Luckily I had saved the family to the gallery with the baby. So I deleted the family and reloaded them with the baby.
Slightly off topic but I feel like everyone (especially youtubers) have so much drama in their sims games. The most dramatic thing that ever happened in mine was a rejected proposal.
Edit: nvm just had a wedding where the grooms dumbass cheated and the bride got so mad that she died.

That's what I was thinking. They progressively got easier. The first Sims was actually really hard to play. It was common to start fires, die of hunger, and get your children taken away before you got the hang of things. Going on a date could also be a death sentence for your Sims 1 sims.

I would just like to document that, a year ago, the almighty youtube algorithm suggested this to me, even though I had never watched Sims content. I watched it, was intrigued, and, at the time, the base game was $5. I bought it, and now I have every pack, a buttload of CC, and some real strong Sims opinions that I will not apologize for.
This is so nice to hear, because that is also basically how I got into The Sims! :-D
I always saw my sister play it when I was a child, but had mostly forgotten about it, until I got recommended a video about all deaths in the sims and then got recommended more sims content. I think it was in late 2016/2017 because City Living was still fairly new... I'm happy you found fun through that!

Me and my friends once created a family in Sims 2 with one mother and twin girls and the mother already died when the welcome wagon came over. And we weren't even trying.
yeah i've done it on sims 2 before, I came back in the morning and my laptop was super hot and i was stuck with the notification you get when everyone in the household dies. But i'd forgot that in sims 2 you need to restock the fridge and so most of them died from starvation and all the kids were either burned or taken by social services. It was also SO messy

I once did the runaway teen challenge and I left to take a really, really short shower (forgot to pause it) and my sim just died. The first time I got a “game over“ - sign in this game.

@@tsuki3752 Unless you buy up a bunch of expansion packs to have more to do and more gameplay options. Such as if you want your Sims to swim in natural water areas like the ponds and some of the creek looking areas you have to get Cottage Living or if you want your Sims to be able to woohoo in the shower you have to get the University game pack. Not sure why the chose the University pack for that since college kids aren't the only ones doing it in the shower. That part is so unrealistic.

I feel like this can be done more successfully if you were to leave it running during the day with supervision, that way you could handle all the game pauses and keep updates on what's been going on, because obviously it would be way too much to record the entire time. cause i wanted to see what happened when leslie came over and more of what happened throughout. but i love your attitude, i'm glad this was in my recommended cause i'm def subbing!
I accidentally fell asleep while playing the Sims 4 and when I came back, both of my 2 children and my cat were taken away, the father died from fire and my last sim, the mom, was extremely dirty and about to die from embarrassment. I was so disappointed that I left the sims for a couple months and I've never enjoyed gameplay the same again. Now I just make sims in CAS and build houses.

i'm not even sure what day i last shut off either of my computers... probably friday, and it's now tuesday.... most likely will be left on for the rest of the week as well, i only shut them off if i'm leaving the house for more then 4 hours. been doing that for decades. there is no reason for a computer to overheat just because it's left on.

@@potatosareagirlsbestfriend542 Any computer built within the last 20 years without a built-in fan has either passive cooling or some other form of cooling. If a PC doesn't have any sort of cooling, it is going to overheat in seconds. I believe a lot of newer CPUs have a passive cooling mode that allows you to start your PC and use the CPU at minimum performance, but they are locked at that level and even if you ran a game it would just be throttled so hard that the PC would not overheat.

Instead of having a phone call that can magically summon a free pair of earbuds into your pocket that is a FREAKING TARDIS, you now somehow have them appear in your pocket while doing litterally absolutely nothing. Don't worry if you fall from a 999 story building, the earbuds will be just fine and SOMEHOW NOT BREAK! Well, we don't have buildings that tall in the sims so you'll have to take my word for it.

Girl sometimes without even going AFK crazy stuff happens. I remember the first save file i made for Sims 4 as soon as I finished CAS and everyone got moved into the house they started checking out all the new furniture and stuff. One of my characters decided to check out the grill in the backyard and somehow she caught on fire and everyone was panicking and literally nobody tried to help so she burned to death. SO everyone was mourning and in a bad mood the rest of move-in day and I had literally just installed Sims 4 and was new to the game so i was like uh what just happened..

Something similar like this happened to me. I was messing around in manage worlds and I finally decided to actually play the game. I clicked on my sim that was at the beach and stared at the loading screen for minutes on end. I didn’t want to force my game to close because I forgot to save everything I did in manage worlds. I came back a couple hours later, well maybe not that long, and it looked like only a couple of sim hours have passed. I was confused as to why it took so long to load, but happy it did so I could save my game and turn off the computer for the night. Moral of the story: save before heading to the beach
I was up in my room playing Sims4, right? I went downstairs to get a snack and use the facilities. Came back to my gaming chair and saw that my house was on fire, the pet was gone, the child was whisked away, and the Grim Reaper came. What was the mother doing? She was flirting with the Grim Reaper.

one time when i was like 10 i was playing the sims 2 and my mouse batteries died so my mom had to take me to the store to get batteries and i didn’t know you could pause with the keyboards yet and when i got back my sims were romantically involved haha

or triplets. sometimes, you start a legacy challenge, you're broke, you have the smallest house possible, and you have triplets in your first pregnancy. and then they age up, and you have three toddlers harassing you constantly. but that's just a hypothetical, of course. (:
I remember with Sims 3 you could decide on a scale how autonomous you wanted your Sims to be so for example if you set adjusted them to be 0% autonomous, they wouldn't go to the toilet, they wouldn't get themselves food etc without you clicking on it. At 50% they would care for their basic needs but wouldn't decide anything above that and at 100% you basically could pause is eternally and they would fix stuff themselves
