    An irate Neil Warnock lamented poor officiating after his Cardiff side were on the wrong end of decisions during their 2-1 defeat by Chelsea. Warnock claimed the Premier League is the best league in the world, with the worst officials in the world, stating Chelsea's equalising goal was 'the most obvious offside' he's ever seen.

    • @ItsAv3rageGamer
      @ItsAv3rageGamer Před 5 lety +69

      They're the most protected people in football, never their fault. Anyone who says anything against them gets fined or suspended. They are never ever held accountable for their decisions. Cardiff could go down because of those 2 points, Chelsea might get ahead of United/Spurs/Arsenal because of the 3 points they gained. VAR is necessary at this stage, because the referee's simply cannot be relied upon to get these decisions right. They are simply not fit for purpose.

      The biggest issue with that is then they'll be subject to sounding biased for one team or another, and that opens up another can of worms. At the end of the day they make a decision based on what they think and what they thought they saw, VAR will fix all of that, so the solution is already in the works.

They were up 4-3 AT BAYERNS HOME and he gave them an irregular goal and a completely fake penalty after a swandive to make the end result 5-4. The best Bayern player was the referee. I’m a Palace fan and loved him managing us on both occasions when he promoted so many academy players, had a shot at the play offs and steadied the ship for a short period in 2014.
    He came so close to keeping Sheffield United and Cardiff up but unfortunately luck turned against him.
    He still has a great achievement of winning the most promotions and it will be sad when he retires because he’s the only manager who has the guts to say the truth about refs and linesman.

    ‘I don’t deserve officiating like that’.
    I know the decisions were wrong and cost the game, but surely it’s the players that don’t deserve those decisions too. Cardiff have also had 1 or 2 games when they’ve got lucky in terms of decisions, although on balance it’s negative.
    I remember when West Ham had 4 incorrect refereeing decisions in a row 2 seasons back, costing them 8points in total. That would have got them top 4, but many incorrect decisions saved that.
    The most notable was against Chelsea, where loftus cheek won a penalty when fouled 5 yards out of the area. It happens.

    The biggest problems with officials in this country is the inconsistency of decisions. Some games a hard tackle is a red another game its a yellow. The rules of football have so many weird add ons like the offside rule that all referees are interpreting it differently. Officials in this country aren't good enough. We need VAR.

    I’m not being funny here. I support Liverpool so I am also not biased. But I’m also a level 6 referee and have assistant referred over 200 games on the line, not sure if anyone has seen the VR headset Carragher put on the other day which clearly shows the assistants view is being blocked by Willian (corner taker) I can’t quite understand how Warnock can say that how poor the decision was from the assistant without seeing it back in the video where it is clear that his vision is blocked and is blocked because of his starting position - on the goal line, where he must stand to see if the ball goes into play from the corner! And then moves left towards the halfway line by this time his view is blocked by the player in front of him.
