Surf Fishing with Bait Boat❗️

- Surf Fishing at Gamble Rogers State Park. There are two sides to fish here. One side is the inland waterway and the other side the surf. We caught shark, bluefish, and had some other good bites but missed them. Working on setting the bait correctly and do not always hook larger baits on right. Everything was hitting the finger mullet. Took the bait boat as well to take larger baits out further. The boat works great just do not trip over it. I did have one big hit off the larger bait but I putting the bait on correctly will make a difference.

Definitely use a circle hook and keep the hook exposed. You don't want to burry the tip in the bait. That's a good way to miss the hook set

Awesome boat.... Circle hooks are better for shark... Try and expose your hook tip, don't bury it in the bait... You'll get much more hook ups

If you're fishing for shark, there's no better hook to use than a circle hook. It keeps you from having to stick pliers down the fishs' throat, and maybe getting bit. I, personally have found that it's worth the struggle to get the bait on the hook. Your mileage may vary. NICE fish, btw.
Thank you for watching! I believe the size hook I am using is 13/0 circle but with bigger baits, it really is difficult to get the bait correct. I will keep trying but if you have any suggestions please let me know.
Circle hooks are best for set fishing but leave the hook point exposed and dont reel it too soon when using larger baits, let them eat it.

I looked at SwellPro. How well to the video work on the drone? I read it was 4k but maybe it is not so stable or has some pixilation. Let me know your thoughts on this.

@@ibrahimnahidh1577 This boat comes out of South Africa which is why I purchased this one. They have rough water down there and I figured if it could handle the ocean down there it should be a breeze here. I do not use it much, many other things to do, and if you are interested in it just let me know.
Are you using braid on the conventional reels?
Yes, I am. The only thing I do not like is that it gets caught at times and I have not figured out why. Not always but sometimes.
Braid has much more memory than mono so make sure it's not kinked or twisted on the spool before attempting to cast it. That is one of many reasons I only use spinning reel for surf fishing.
Thanks Jason! I have noticed it gets knotted at times and I cannot figure out why. I have also observed if I put on too much weight or too little weight it happens more often. Also, the faster I try and cast causes more of an issue. This is why I just need to understand it better and get used to it. It is a great real and I just need to practice more with it.@@jasonleake4608

You can look up Aquacat and purchase online. They are made in S. Africa and it usually takes about 6 months to get. Maybe it is faster now but that is how long it took me. Also, remember they do not sell the batteries which will be an extra cost to factor in.
