Thanks for this, you’re doing such a good job. I wish you much success with this channel. Your guides are better than the official ExtremeRate guides.
I recently ordered some products from ExtremeRate. I was looking for some tutorials to prepare and stumble on your channel. Just finished binge watching all your videos lol. It was fun seeing your growth and improvement on your video editing. Thanks for the tutorials, you earned yourself a new subscriber.😉 Can't wait for the next video!
Thanks so much for binge watching. Its actually kinda cool knowing someone did that. Thanks for the support!
Thanks for the tutorial! Very clear and it helped me to install the clicky triggers and then the remap kit in one go! It was very helpful ! Great work!
Once again your video has helped 😅 thank you so much for making all the videos you did I legit have controllers w rgb , clicky triggers, paddles , and customs shells and learned it all from you 🙏🏽
I have always loved these kind of videos where the things that i love are broken apart, described how they work and maybe modded. Love your descriptions bro and camera quality is AAA.
Thanks! Still have areas to improve on and I'm behind on content 😆
Thanks for watching!
I installed the clicky triggers and the remap kit today thanks to your videos. Great job Bro!!!
I bought. Custom controller with clicks triggers ps5 one. But I want to take them out. I aim better without them. Is there anyway to do that?
Just came across your channel looking for an install video. I have to install these on my daughters controllers and this video was fantastic my friend! Straight to the point and nothing dragging on. Excellent production my friend. Keep it up and stay creative, it’s channels like yours that makes a difference in how people approach certain tasks. Seriously your video is what convinced me to buy them in the first place. Great video my friend. Gratitude.
Awesome video!!! I ordered my kit and will use your video for my installation. Thanks 😊
Such a nice and smooth Tutorial. Very Calm and nice voice. Was a pleasure to watch. I‘m automatically chilled out after that 💆♂️😊
Thanks! It's the kinda vibe I want to have during my videos so I'm glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate your compliments! 😁
You've done an excellent job on your tutorials for installing these kits. I really like how you thoroughly cover the disassembly of the controller in each video instead of just referring the viewer to your previous videos. Keep up the great work.
Thanks alot for this! You're very kind. It's people like you that encourage me to keep uploading videos.
@@im.a.cavemanI bought an HYPR controller with clicks air triggers but it doesn’t work well with me. I aim better with just the regular ones. Is there any way I can replace the clicks air triggers to a regular one? I can follow the guide to do it myself. Will really appreciate it
@@elijnr If you have the parts and you know the controller model then yes you can do it. Also depends on what kind of hair trigger HYPR uses. I dont know what they use. And depending on which BDM controller you have will depend on how you disassemble the controller or triggers.
Thank you for this video.Excellent walkthrough.Just ordered the kit from Amazon and can’t wait to install these !thanks man
These are the best tutorials by far. Thank you!
Just bought one can’t wait to try it out👍🏼
Actually thanks for the 4K quality, Everything was so crisp and clear on my big TV and easy to follow
You can for sure convert this to ASMR video so soothing and relaxing. Thanks for sharing. God bless🙏
This just shows how much thought and tech goes into one of these controllers. Makes you wonder just how far it’s going to go on the future
I wonder the same. There's still more stuff that's going to be released. Wondering what Sony's pro ps5 controller is going to look like.

Easily the best how to vid for doing this on the web. detailed, clear, exact in every way. Link to the tools would be good. New sub right here.
Mine will be here tomorrow, can't wait!
Your excellent videos made me brave enough to try, ordered the rise and trigger pack, will start with triggers, before i will do the Rise
Thanks for watching. Just making sure, did you check the compatibility to install the Rise Remap kit?

Thanks for watching. I got a 2.0 and metal paddles video coming soon if you're interested in that. Stay tuned!
@Im.A.Caveman are the metal paddles out yet?? I'm going to Making another controller. I first one I made was very basic, the next one is going to crazy, I would definitely want to use the metal paddles

Hallo,
I've got to say thank you!
Your Extremerate Videos are very detailed and you can follow each step without a single problem!
But the one question I am asking myself, and I didn't find it in the Video details, what is that screw driver? Can you link it?
Thanks a lot again!
Nice video! I'm thinking of modding my controllers with this but I was thinking some things. What will happen if I play games like Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart or Returnal? These games have the L2 and R2 function different if pressed fully or just half. Does this affect it?
Hey great video very informative, but I just have one question because I’m very new to custom controllers, I want to buy the hair trigger for PS5 but I don’t like the clicking sounds , at least not on the R2 and L2 buttons what would be your best recommendation??
Você pode explicar a diferença entre a versão light e hard? Qual deles tem uma sensação mais tátil de clique?
At 11:13 The last piece on the trigger that u install.. Where did u get it because mine doesn't show on my kit.? Please help
Incredible video, I ordered my remap kit and clicky triggers the other day, will be using these tutorials for sure!! I have a question, is there an actual difference for the BDM-010 and BDM-020? The pictures on amazon show the exact same parts and I accidentally ordered a BDM-020 clicky trigger for my BDM-010 controller, will this be affected?? Earned yourself a new sub buddy!! :)
Was there ever an issue with the one you ordered? I’m noticing the same thing and I’m trying to order a couple extreme rate items rn
Amigo. O kit serve perfeitamente para o 10 e 20. O 30 que é diferente.

I took the two springs out on the control board side of the tiggers and it’s feels insanely better
I push a little bit harder on my R2 and my Reflex FPS instant triggers keep breaking. Thinking about installing these in them when my warranty expires, as well I’ve had to send it in 5 times. Do these feel sturdy? Thanks
7:33 the circular piece, in my case it dosnt want to go down all the way… if I do it somehow, can I just put them in and ignore the rest? I only care about l1 and r1 as my triggers to be honest.
hi put the rod back it but the button wont move can you help please tried brough sides
Just wondering, the silicone cushions still as bad as PS4? Probably will stop working with time because they kinda cut? I had to fix that in my ps4
Would it be possible to have clicky bumpers but normal triggers? Really don’t wanna loose the ability to play racing games / games that require differing trigger actuation / force.
12:46 one of those oval like things in my controller, started clicking and I don’t know how to fix it
Why don’t mine have the 4 screws on the front side of the D pad and the buttons
Thank you for the great tutorial. I finished up the triggers, they work better than expected but I have a clicking coming from the inside of the controller now. I think it’s going to be one of the gears not properly placed? Gonna break it down and try again tomorrow cheers
@@im.a.caveman no I ended up figuring it out. It was the little clip thing in the trigger not being lined up right. Solid videos btw very informative.
I'm having problems with the L2 breaking. The clicking pardon the cable completely collapsed. Do you have any suggestions. I fixed it with a new one but I'm scared to use it. Do you have any idea what it could be.
thanks man! you just saved me 80 euros for a new controller!
Is it possible to leave addaptive triggers and just go with l1 and r1 modificafions?
Why my pieces don’t look like yours. I got everything in except for that last piece of plastic you put in that goes over the ribbon. Is yours the updated version.
my square, circle, left and right dpad stopped working do you have any idea why?
How would this work on a scuf reflex?
Hello bro, big fan of your videos, can you help me figuring out why after doing this steps in the video my ps5 controller only blinks in oramge once, and then nothing goes on?
For the triggers not sure. So far no one has mentioned a problem with the triggers. Usually they say that about the remap kit. I recommend reconnecting the wires and see if that helps. Thanks for being a fan!
Veryyyyy 🎉🎉 accurate instructions, if you follow him, you can’t go wrong, Watch out for what type of controller you have, the action trigger he has in the video I think is for BDM-10, I did this installation with the remap kit on it. (2023) April
My controller does not have the two holes to put the things in
what about the one where it does your buttons like circle X and triangle? does that need souldering?
Your videos are super detailed and great. I unfortunately ran into a problem installing my trigger kit, my triggers are different than yours. At 7:07 when you go to install the L-shaped part into the two holes below the hinge, those are not on my triggers. I did verify on Side-A of my motherboard that I have a BDM-020 controller. My trigger just has open space in the middle. Do you know of any ways to still install this kit on a trigger like this or if there is somewhere I can buy triggers like the one you have?
Thanks! The one on the video is specifically for BDM-010. Here's a link to extremerate's BDM-020 installation.

@@im.a.caveman Thanks, right after I posted the comment I decided to search and see and found their video showing the difference between the two. I appreciate the help and the great videos you make.
After you replace it how does it feel when you play games where the l2 and r2 buttons have feedback? Like the rumble? Idk how to explain it, but essentially it is the feature in ps5 games that give feedback when pressing L2 and R2. If anyone who has done it can let me know I would really appreciate it. I do not want to lose that feedback feeling.
I think I explained in the video that hapticfeedback should be turned off. The travel distance is way less than the original so the haptic feedback isn't usable. It's also not ideal to use this kit for racing games since the slow press won't work. These were designed mainly for fps players in mind.
I want to get this for my controller since burst firing is a nightmare for some reason even with the trigger effect off, have to release the trigger the entire way basically to rapidly press it.
However, I've already installed the back button kit with the additional ribbon cables and stuck it down to the battery, so I dunno if I wanna faff about taking it all apart lol
Think about it. I know it can be time consuming but I personally like not having to press down all the way. Kinda feels better for some reason. And then I switch to my other controller to use haptic feedback for some games.
@@im.a.caveman yeah I've been holding off getting a second controller hoping they'd release a limited edition one, Xbox has done loads so far. I'd then have one as the dedicated fps controller and the other for other games.
Really good video btw :) very clear
Hey, I’ve had my PS5 pro controller (scuf) and the R2 button does not work, like the trigger won’t register in game, and the “clicky” sound doesn’t seem to work. It isn’t my spring, but something else, do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
I'm assuming the R2 switch is broken. Especially since you said there's no more click coming from it
Those clickly triggers are excellent, and its crazy seeing how the L2 and R2 buttons are its own parts. Looking forward to the LED showcase 😀
Yeah its pretty cool how they added these things. I could've had the led video ready since a week ago but the whole thing was just bad because it was raining while recording and the mic picked up the the sound of cars splashing the water. I have a different video I want to put out though before the led installation. Its pretty freaking cool!
where do I get the small gear wheel replacement part? My one is chipped and messing up the haptic feedback
I don’t have those 4 screws to take out the trigger mechanism what do I do?? Someone please help me 🙏 I’m super confused
It sounds like you have a BDM-030 or possibly 040. Those have triggers that do not get screwed off the controller. And there isn't a trigger kit compatible for 040 yet but there is for 030.
Hey man I just installed the paddles, is it going to be similar for me to install the triggers? It seems like a lot of work and I’m not sure if I wanna do it all cuz it’s kinda confusing
The triggers are it's own piece that unscrew from the control. If you get to that part, opening the triggers isn't so bad. If anything just keep watching a video until you feel comfortable to do it.
Does the silicone go back into the trigger?
So the 4.0 remap kit is not compatible with the clicky hair trigger kit? Or I can do both?
You can do both. The thing about the hair triggers is haptic feedback should be turned off and shouldn't be used for racing. It was designed mainly wfor fps players. If it for racing you'll only be able to go from 0 to max speed. No slow press with the kit installed.
If you have also ordered the back paddles, which do you recommend installing first? Thanks.
I have a clicking sound on my L1 and L2 haptic trigger after installing it please help tnx
Could you please name the white tool you are using to pull out the small flatcables ?
For the clicky hair triggers can you play any Spiderman games because you have to hold the trigger to swing
It's not recommended to install these if you're going to play racing games or use haptic feedback. I was playing spiderman with it but I turned off haptic feedback.
Can you drive vehicles in warzone? I bought the Ghost Trigger mod, but the triggers don’t fully engage and I can’t drive without having to slide the trigger stop out of the way. Please help
You can drive but when it comes to racing games it'll only drive from 0 to 100. No slow press. Also keep in mind you should have haptic feedback off.
The L2 and R2 replacement processes is such a pain in the ass
Lucky that's improved with the 030 version since they modules don't come off anymore
Good video, but what’s that message about BD
-020 and BDM-010 and how do you know which one you have for your controller
It's for the Rise Remap kit/back buttons. On the back of your original shell there's a model number: CFI-ZCT1W (BDM-010). CFI-ZCT1W A (BDM-020). The remap kit is only compatible with BDM-010. BDM can also be found on the motherboard itself.
My black parts look different from yours so now I’m just stuck the same thing happened with the paddles cuz one of my cables couldn’t reach
That trigger video is for BDM-010 and it's the older version. For the new version they have a standard and tactile version. They also removed the piece that gets installed on the side of the trigger.
I'm working on a video showing the tactile version for BDM-020. Should be uploading by tomorrow
I did both at the same time, but I have a constant clicking noise on the left trigger like a heart beat lol, guess I will try again tomorrow.
I think I know what you mean. Like the little motor on the trigger itself keeps going "click click click click". Is that what you mean? It's happened to a control but I didn't install hair triggers on it. I have to see the problem for that one.
Same thing is happening to me! It does it only when it connects to the ps5, so weird. Gonna have to open it back up again but eh maybe tomorrow
Found out what it was in my case. I had put the gear wrong, all I had to do was just put it in correctly
Is the L2 R2 supposed to have play after the "click"? Mine doesn't stop untill a few centimeters after click (not too bad). Does anyone else experience this?
On all videos I seem it looks like it stops after the "click"
When I press mine they don't go further. Maybe check the trigger to see if something isn't right.
my l1 and r1 isnt activating for some reason only l2 and r2. any suggestion that could help me would be appreciated
Got it working for a few days but my left trigger won’t pull or click now and I’ve opened it up, I can get it to click again but as soon as I put on the cover for the gear on the side it doesn’t click no more
If the trigger isn't moving, there's a chance you didn't hook over there trigger on that little piece that sticks out from the trigger module. You should be able to see it. Or if it's the gear, it could be the gear wasn't placed properly
@@im.a.caveman I thought it might be that so I was extra careful to make sure the metal piece was being put under properly, I got it to work now and it has something to do with the cover piece for the gear that holds it in place. Still doesn’t click the same as my R2 which is weird tho
Only thing I'm curious about is if im trying to drive a vehicle with R2 and L2, will this make it so that i drove slow since i cant press it in all the way?
Ive tried a trigger stop before and that was the result
No it won't be slower because you're still pressing on the Switch, only sooner, since there's a little piece you put under your triggers. But it's recommended haptic feedback is turned of with the hair triggers installed.
Edit: this kit is only for fps players in mind. With racing games it'll go from 0-max speed. Lower speeds can't be maintained.
Wow good point, I didn't think about how it will work in racing games, with Normal L2 and R2 we can slower down the vehicle but I don't think we can do the same with clicky hair triggers. I think we need to dedicate this clicky hair trigger controller only for shooting games
That's exactly what it was intended for, fps. This video is outdated. I have an updated video and another one I'm going to work on for the new micro switch triggers.
@@im.a.caveman So new micro switch triggers suitable for both FPS and Racing games? Asking it because my order will ship tomorrow and I selected Custom FPC Cable Mouse Click Micro Switch Shoulder Bumper Trigger Strong Click Hair Trigger Kit" Model Number: PFMD009
@@tadnyarahul2854 They're still mainly for fps and not good for racing games. The different is they used mouse switches for the new trigger kits.
Hey man! I ordered the back paddles and hair trigger kit, I’ll install them at the same time. Which one should I do first? Paddles or triggers?
@@im.a.caveman I had the same question but I also have the clicky button mod... So first the clicky button mod, then hair triggers, then paddles??🤔
Personally, I would do the triggers first since they need to be unscrewed from the casing, then put them back on, put the little pads on the buttons for the clicky kit, put on the clicky board, and then finish up by doing the remap kit.
@@im.a.caveman hey man! I've literally just finished installing everything. I did the triggers first then paddles. Took me 2 hours since it's my first time. Got a bit stuck on the triggers but finally got there. Thank you very much!
@@DaddyJao1507 Awesome! What matters is you got it done and on your own too! I still take long when it comes to doing Joycons or the Switch itself. So time consuming xD Enjoy and thanks for watching!
Do you know if it the same installation with the tactile version clicky triggers mouse click.
It depends if its for a BDM-010 or BDM-020. The piece that goes on the side of the trigger was taken out for the updated triggers. BDM-020 has a bigger piece the goes in the L2/R2. It's a actually a video I'm working on that I'm hoping to upload by Sunday.
So does it work on the bdm 20 or no
Is this compatible with the 4 back button mod ??
Is it hard to do these clicky hair triggers after you already did the Rise4 remap back buttons??
It's just a few extras steps. A few more screws and cables to disconnect
Same for PS4?
Whats the difference between the Clicky Hair Triggers and the Tactile Version?
Hey nice vid bro, I bought the clicky triggers, but it seem like underneath my trigger is different I don’t have those holes there for the little L shaped piece
@@cyco_t3346 Sorry! I recommend getting a refund. The kit is only compatible with CFI-ZCT1W/BDM-010. I need to make an update video for the kits. How do the hair triggers respond to warzone vehicles? Do they go too slow, too fast, or not go?🤔🧐
