  • “Food can never be a weapon of war. Humanitarians can never be targets.”
A memorial service for the seven aid workers of the World Central Kitchen (WCK) killed by an Israeli strike in Gaza was held at the National Cathedral in Washington on Thursday.
During his eulogy, Jose Andres, founder of World Central Kitchen said that the official Israeli explanation is “not good enough,” demanding an investigation into the actions of the Israeli forces against its workers.

“If one has to refer to any of the parties as a terrorist state, one might refer to the Israeli government, because they are the people who are slaughtering defenseless and innocent Arabs in the occupied [Palestinian] territories, and we don’t regard that as acceptable.”

"35.000 terrorists aren't the same as civilians, get your facts straight 🥱😈" - say the zionists who actually support and believe the terrorists responsible for the nakba but with a new shiny coat of paint as the "Israeli" "Defense" Forces.

Jose, the best of humanity was already in Gaza before you arrived. They were the more than 100 UNRWA workers killed by the Israel occupying forces. The best of humanity was already in Gaza and they are the Palestinians who have survived the occupation of 75 years before you arrived.
While you’re grieving your organization's workers as you should, I hope you open your eyes and refrain from repeating the “Israel has the right to defend itself” line, that has only served to justify the world crimes of a country you believed would give you preferential treatment. While I of course lament the killing of your staff members I hope you realize that your direct involvement with the U.S. State Department is working with the enemies of peace.

Those seven aid workers showed all the best qualities of humanity. May their souls rest in peace & their good example of humanity be learnt from.

Heartfelt condolences to the families. At the moment, lives of distributors of food and medical supplies are at risk. Pray for their safety. Pray for Palestinians. Pray for peace.

    May they rest in peace
It's good that they did a memorial for them because their governements sure don't seem interested in doing it.
Can you imagine that the UK governement not only didn't contact the British aid workers's families to give them condolences but they also SIGNED A NEW DEAL with Israel the same week those three British aid workers lost their lives at Israel's hands.
British governement couldn't make it any more obvious that they don't give a damn about their own people's lives, in case you needed any more proof the US and UK are owned by the Israeli lobbies.
Also, let's also take a moment to remember the over 300 other aid workers that never got to have a memorial for them.

Jose have you apologised to the spanish politian who courageously called out against the genocide of Palestinians by your Israeli friends ? Have you spared any thought to the hundreds of thousands of orphan Palestinian children, murdered women and men also engaged in humanitarian efforts ? Your remorse is highly subjective.

He had a horrible take at first, but I think he opened his eyes.
Regardless of his politics, i respect the work he does and i think he can have a positive influence in speaking out for the plight of the palestinians.

This guy has been an ardent supporter of Israelism so it really is a bit late in the day for this speech. While I feel sorry for the families of those volunteers killed I do wonder why there were so many ex-army personnel working for this man/“charity”.

I don't know about his politics, but his actions have always been exemplary. All he does is go around feeding millions of people in need. That's huge. Not too many people can make the same claim. But I am sure his eyes are wide open by now.
