Hi! This is very good advice! I use smoothie straws for large floppy, and or banana curls, and smaller straws for tight curls like you have with your pencil. I also cut straws up and use bobbi pins to secure the hair with as well as using special mohair conditioning and setting spray to make more permanent curls. I am a reborn artist, (I specialize in rooting hair) as well as being an amateur photographer. Catching the curls in perfect lighting does make the difference in a more realistic looking doll. Your dolls are beautiful, and you make them look very realistic. If I hadn’t figured out on my own how to curl dolls hair, I would definitely have used your advice to the fullest. As it is, alas, all my pencils have teeth marks in them..😳🤪
