I don't like dealing with my 4c hair. I wear braids, wigs, etc and keep my hair tucked away for weeks at a time. I don't care for the maintenance that comes with it and there's nothing wrong with admitting that. Also have you tried Jamaican Black Castor oil for your soft spot? It works great at regrowing thinning areas.

I highly recommend this method! My mother has very kinky curls like 4a-4b and she’s used this on me and her for like 15 years and her hair is to her knees now and my hair curls are much bouncier especially if you try the honey method after

Honestly leaving your hair alone but still keeping it moisturized is the best way for growth . Then when you are ready pop out n straighten it. If the heat is no problem
I’ve been natural for going on 3 years this March and when I tell you I’ve spent the past 2 years wearing a wigs... I’m just now getting to liking how my hair looks, let alone doing it. Type 4 hair is a JOB.

A reason why your hair might not be growing in that area could also be from build up from oils! I had to learn the hard way... sometimes your scalp just needs to be clean for it to grow! Just try to listen to your hair 💕

Try wild growth oil or baby don’t be bald for your soft spot. 😄
You should try Vida Hair Growth (@vidahairgrowth) to thicken, grow and strengthen. I peeped their IG when Hennessey mentioned it way back and everyone who tries it seems to have really amazing (but realistic) results. I used to use a hair and scalp tonic from Whitney's Naturals (@whitneysnaturals) and it worked amazing. My hair grew so thick and healthy, but when I ran out I waited to repurchase cause I'm cheap, lol.

Try nature products made by you, I have thick 4C hair, I hated even touching my hair, I tried all these insta products and wasted sooo much money.
I’ve been using 100% natural honey and deep conditioning twice a month. Lorddd it’s a lot of effort but after a month I saw a change in my hair, length wise kind of, but genuinely my hair felt softer and detangling was much easier.
