Used to listen late at night in Connecticut too. Home of the Fort Wayne Komets!

I remember their great commercial jingles: "Dehaven Chevrolet, twenty three fifteen south Calhoun!" "Penguin Point is the people pleasing place!"

WOWO was THE radio station in our house during the 1960's! Well, during the day at least. My older teenage sisters listened to CKLW, WLS, and, when the static wasn't too bad, WCBS New York because they had the top jocks and hottest top-40 tunes. My favorite WOWO DJ was the late John Cigna. Great memories!

There were quite a few WOWO fans downstate towards Evansville and Louisville, too...WOWO was a lot like WHAS, but "HAS" was more full-service MOR then.

Drove east of the Mississippi River each weekend in high school. Always kept me company. Stopped by the station when it was on Hwy 30 & talked to a DJ. Was that really 1972?

I put up this video because someone wanted the jingle based on a message I got on a board somewhere. I had two subscriptions on CZcams this one "Water Guy" and "RommelZ118". I'm originally from Fort Wayne, and am proud to have grown up there and call this my home town. Today though, I live in San Antonio, TX. I miss my old friends and family that still remain there.....
