The more I see this, the more certain I am getting it. Loved the Trials of Mana remake and this game just looks like the perfect balance of modern gameplay in a classic art style

My 1st run stuttered. Subsequent runs seem smoother. I guess it is shade caching?

Thanks for sharing this with no commentary, it makes it alot more accessible to understand it's development without too many opinions.
Other than the timing of most attacks during combat, and the bugs found in a fair amounts, it's got a great charm all its own.
I appreciate the writing, the voice acting of the lines, really quite engaging, especially with the party talk at refreshing intervals.
The combat can be a bit stuttery but enemies don't die in one hitt and it's got ambition for focus and thought to go along with its fun when in a battle.
The pikul goes a bit hasty for a world that looks very imaginative and beautiful to explore. Hoping it's as fleshed out as it seems.
Even got a nicely organized menu navigation.

Tales of Arise was terrible. The game was too linear, too repetitive, and it had way too many cutscenes. I hope that this game is nothing like TOA.

@@Bao598 Anyone who isn't a casual agrees TOA was terrible, and reviews have never meant anything, just means you need someone to tell you what is good enough to buy since you can't think for yourself.
Toa wasnt terrible just an okaish game , it had lots of boring skits and cutscenes the story was meh didnt inspire me at all compared to older tales , the open world wasnt big enough , but the graphics, characters design , and battle system was actually good@@atlasjames7842
I played it already! Honest thoughts. It is "Super" fun. 😊 the game is very polished. Its combat grows on you! The Super moves of each character using the CS bar are Sick!!!. The game has a perfect Speed to it. Gran blue was great but, got boring quick cause it was way to fast. This game slows things down and lets you "feel" the Combat out. Its only lacking more Characters
I'm someone who is more focused on the gameplay so Granblue Fantasy Relink shot up my standards in action-RPG. This is why this game's combat only left an OK or 6/10 impression to me, however I know that the story of this game will be good and lengthy given the IP's good reputation in the RPG industry.
Gran Blue felt like a pretty phone game.
@@chFRESCO And that pretty phone game completely exceeded my expectations and perception towards anime action-rpg. I couldn't get back to Tales/Xenoblade/FF after playing it.
Hoping Fate Grand Order gets a game of this caliber.

Nooo lol. I just started the ajrpg genre. Trials of mana - tales arise- relink- and this game i preordered after beating trials.
If relink is the better combat then i hope i can still have fun in this game.
Gameplay is different to GBF- more customisable and easier to get into, but less snappy and responsive. I can’t say which I prefer so far.
i like the main character design
It doesn't feel as snappy as trials, though this was probably intentional. People have mentioned it feels like they're running in mud, which it does really.
They need to fix the camera as well. It randomly zooms out 2 business days so you can barely see the characters, plus when the camera goes behind a tree or rock, that doesn't help.
There are fps drops and stuttering on pc and consoles as well.
I even went back to play trials, and it actually feels better imo.
I'm still excited, and it's a day one for me, but I want this game to be the best it can.
It was a different studio that made the game to trials, and it shows.
Doubt there'll be much changes from now until release, it's a few weeks away so. Agree it doesn't feel very snappy, also the music in the demo has zero mana vibes, just kinda boring generic orchestral music. Hope there'll be some bangers later..
@Buzenbazen The best music I heard was in the trial of light or whatever it's called, when we warp to that twilight place. The other stuff sends me to sleep.

Granblue was so trash ngl. It was not worth the 8 year wait. The story was a disappointment, the areas sucked, and it got repetitive real quick

I'm an older gamer, I'm 36. I've been playing Mana games since the 90s. Words can't describe how stoked I am to give this game a try. So far, from the looks of it, the game resembles Seiken Densetsu 3, which is one of my all-time favorite action RPGs. I really hope this game delivers.
Yeah lol I'm an oldie too and Secret was one of my first and favourite games. The real time Action felt so good next to all the turn based games at the time , it made them look slow and ancient and frankly redundant. The game had an amazing visual style too, so magical.
A little salty this isn't going to be on the Switch.

I cannot set my resolution above 1080p in the PC version no matter what I do. I can run every other game at my native res of 5120x1440. Anyone have any idea why?

The full game really NEEDS a easy mode in this demo the AI against the higher leveled enemies is kind of PURE CRAP running INTO their attacks and being KILLED IN 1 HIT.
Did the map disappear at times for anyone else? it wouldn't appear again until i entered a battle. demo seemed kind of buggy

In a yes or no. No. But it doesn't seem like we have anywhere near the combat completed. Some people learn moves/not skills. So idk if that will make combat more fluid later

It is unfortunate that they did such a bad job on this. Purposely mid budget reused mechanics and giant empty spaces with no interactive environment. When compared to most other top tier AAA titles from large game companies, this is an absolute disappointment. I tried to dig and find more that would maybe makee decide to buy VoM cause I really wanted to but the more I look into it the more disappointed I got. Truly unfortunate that Square did this to us.

I'm disappointing. combat is not fast pace. it's slow pace action real time combat. similar to tale of arise. not as fast pace as kingdom heart 3 or scarlet nexus.

The main character why does he look trans? Like did they just couldn’t figure out what to make him as? Or is he just made to look super feminine? I don’t like the design of him. Not cause of what I said but the devs should’ve made a better distinctive look for him.

-It's 57% more expensive at launch than Trials of Mana was at launch too. (At least where I live)
-It doesn't have Family Loan, and Trials does.
-It brings DENUVO, Trials never had it.
