I’m sorry about the weather in the Bahamas, Dee and Jay. But you both are so professional and made most of your day out. Jay speaks like a reporter on TV and I always admire Dee’s infectious smile whatever the weather. We sailed when it was Bahamas Paradise. We stayed at the Viva also for 2 days. It was a really nice place back then and a great beach there. Food was good. This video brought back some memories from our trip.
I wish I lived closer to Florida! There are so many options for cruising, and this one looks like such a fun short getaway! ❤
We really enjoyed our Margaritaville cruise last month. We had 3 out of 5 of our adult kids, plus our daughter-in-law. We did the Grand Lucayan all inclusive & had a blast. We really don't have any complaints other than it would be nice if they did away with the old style muster drill! Thanks for the review!
We are going to need to go back. We took a 2 day cruise back in August. We had an issue with finding a seat for lunch at the buffet and a surprise charge that no one could explain. We move to South Florida a couple of years ago. So we found a 2 night trip to the Bahamas a nice break that was not expensive. The food was excellent, the staff was as nice as any cruise ship we have been on. Also the music in the lounges was so good. Other vloggers considered this a ferry to the Bahamas which is so disrespectful to the staff. Thanks for sharing and being honest about this cruise.

WOW it's been over 10 years since I have seen Orlando. He was Matt Mitchams side kick when he was a cruise Director for Carnival. I thought he retired from cruise industry so it was cool seeing him again, great kid! I knew that was him when I heard him use Matt's dialogie..bye I said bye 😊 He's all grown up now!! Glad yall had fun 😁

That was a darn good cruise. They listened and definitely improved and a lot more fun than some of the major lines. Chef knows flavor as food looked delicious.

Mineral taste makes me think well water or even natural spring water that we would stop and get in Ohio at a "runoff" point. We would take an empty gallon milk jug and fill it up. My relatives we stayed at thought we were crazy lol.
Jay, have you ever grown out a beard? I noticed it was longer in Freeport until you were "all fresh and clean". Also, have you ever looked into purchasing the unlimited cruises on Margaritaville at Sea. I don't know if they still have that deal, but when they came out with it, what did you think?
Im considering our first cruise for our anniversary in October. Any suggestions you guys may have?
No cruise line is one-size-fits-all, so that would be nearly impossible to suggest something without knowing a good bit about likes and dislikes, etc. I guess a general rule of thumb is Carnival or MSC for budget-friendly party lines, Norwegian for a less budget friendly semi-party line, Celebrity or Princess for more adult calmer cruises, Royal Caribbean if you want to pay too much for your cruise experience, Holland America for the extra-chill mature audience cruise, and Virgin Voyages for an adults-only "different" cruise experience!! :P ~Jay

Did you book on your own or through the ship.
We booked the excursion through the ship as soon as we boarded, at the shore excursion deck.
