      Hi… you are doing a great job… but only FD, RD do compounding… Stocks or mutual fund won’t compound only growth rate as you are not reinvesting the growth interest amount

    • @InvestmentInsightsTamil
      @InvestmentInsightsTamil  Před 3 lety +2

      @@mastro1811 Now we are getting too technical into the definition of compound interest. Aren't we? 😉
      From investment perspective, lets not get into the pure technical definition of compound interest. The idea is to focus on the compounded growth aspect of it.
      Regardless, you are right. Stocks and mutual funds do compound, but they do not grow in fixed interval like a FD.

    Mindblowing. I understand it completely.
    Aana enaku onnu mattum idikkudhu. 30 vayasula avar bike vangirundha 4 edam suthi pathirupaaru, friends oda time enjoy panirupaaru, etc. Aana 60 vayasula 2.5 crore vechutu enna pana mudiyum. Andha vayasula oru plane vangi otava mudiyum?
    I just used your bike example. However, my question is mainly for travel expenses. Please guide me on this. When we are young we have energy to travel; travel gives insights; insights influence the rest of the life. However, if I save money in travel to make a fortune for retirement, how can I make use of it? At that age, I may not be physically fit to travel or even if I get some insight at that time, it may be too late to apply it in life.
    It seems to be a paradox. What's your take on this?

    When you are young you should live your life like buying things and adding memory, and later you start investing. Many older and elder people regret their life choices on missing enjoyment. But still the investment becomes a necessary aspect of Indian life and not a lot of us are given such and such information

  • @equitytrader_001
    @equitytrader_001 Před 3 lety +1

    I have seen another post like this:-
    If u think, 1 Crore is enough for your after retirement period and getting retired at 50th age itself (since you have reached your 1 Cr goal this age itself):-
    If you are investing in some low risk returns, surely it won't cross 5-6 % per annum.. and if we calculate the expenses per month and if we add inflation rate of 7% every year means, surely his principal amount also get draining within 8-10 yrs (say his 60th years)..
    In our country, interest rate in banks or other low risk category returns are very low.. getting low YoY. Obviously, rate of interest for loans also getting less only, but who is at the age of 40-45 now, have already paid some reasonable interest rate for his home loan or vehicle loans, and going to get less interest rate for his investments..

With zerodha it is offline process and with Kuvera they used to say to close all existing and start new NRI account where we will loose old Investments. Will this conversion works in same way for OCI card holders also as they will renounce Indian citizenship? Thank you for your other explanations too.

    I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement.

      This is true. I'm in my mid 50's now. My wife and I were following this same trajectory. Last two years, I pulled out my money and invested with her wealth manager. Not catching up with her profits over the years, but at least I earn more. I'm making money even before retiring, and my retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.
